Do you remember what is was like hearing this for the first time in 94? What an absolute MADNESS!!! This track and Gunsmoke - 'Original Gangsta' had the same instrumental, and General Levy with Wicked and Helicopter. What a time to be a teen 🤣🔥🔥🔥
I remember having bear vinyls on Ragga jungle. From cutty ranks , top cat, and cds. One of fave was “ Lloydie crucial - jungle mania “ I’ve forgot many.
Used to hear it on the 'MTV hour' in Doordarshan Metro (DD2) channel. This was in '95 at Bangalore, India. Amongst other famous releases and lots of grunge.
This is a proper UK jungle anthem, everyone has heard this... I saw UK Apache perform this live on Saturday night with an entire orchestra doing the instrumental behind him, was crazy
This is the original old skool jungle anthem and still after 30 yrs has never failed to get people moving or singing along.. Uk Aphache is a living legend of the Uk Jungle scene and is still after 30 yrs of Original Nuttah going strong and performing this song which everyone knows and loves he is the undisputed King of the Jungle ..👑👑👑
This is taking me back to that feeling when certain tunes came in, babylon - splash, leviticus - burial, pfm - western, such a good time to be sneaking into raves underage :D
This song come out in the 90s it's a lot older than 17 years old. Another massive tune in the UK when it dropped. This is Jungle music before D&B come along.
I like both ! Jungle 94-97 and I would say that my favourite d n b was 96-99 !!! I would recommend the new dj trace record on metalheadz for d n b ( it’s been out about 2 / 3 weeks ) and for jungle check out Tim reaper off the ropes ( been out about 3 months ) 2 of my favourite records this year !!!
You heard the “Bad boys ina London..” part in the Chase and Status boiler room as to why it was familiar to you. Chase and Status also did a remix of the Original Nuttah. Also, the “murderer” part is taken from the Reggae artist Buju Banton’s song by the same name . Love your reactions. 🙌🏾 Please react to Goldie - Inner City Life. Another D&B/Jungle banger 🔥
Let me tell you this .. I'm gonna show my age but back in the 90s, this tune was the closest thing to a national anthem on the club scene. When this got played, the whole place went crazy and I'm not sure if you know the tune, on a ragga tip by SL2. Was released in the early 90s and still gets played in the clubs today and still gets the whole place up. Hopefully if you don't know it I would love to see your reaction to it.
One of the only things that disappoints me with this channel! They don’t have to listen to the song before reacting to it ! But they should do a small amount of research on the artists they review!!!
This is the anthem that gets all everyone born 80’s-00’s in the UK fucking hyped beyond belief.. if the DJ plays this then your party is taking a turn.. for the best always.
This came out in 1994 and yet again I have it on vinyl on the album jungle hits vol 1, Shy FX was 17 years old when he produced this! Most of the jungle tunes used the infamous amen break used on 100s of tracks from hip hop too (example NWA straight out of Compton)
This is not the original tune this rubbish was never played out it was only played at carnival. I was there from the start so I rass know . This is the proper riddim th-cam.com/video/ltwHrThvNIQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=DFf-ovJn8vx5wEg7
This track way older than 17 yrs 🤣. Came out in 92/93 I played this in DJ sets all through the rave era. I've played on the same event as SHY FX a few times. Good times 🔥💯
Shy Fx's back catalogue is worth checking out. I used to go Jungle Drum & Bass club nights & raves from 94 - 2008. I was on Hastings Pier when he dropped "Chopper" for the first time, it got about 5 rewinds, and the MC "Stevie Hyper D" absolutely killed it. Hyper D died in the late nineties just after he got signed to a label. For me he is the best D&B MC to ever do it.
i am now a bald fat nearly 55 year old englishman living in australia and this song still gets me going ... talk about good memories from a very misspent youth

I was raving all over the UK when this was released. Just dancing all night, every weekend, it’s just what we did. Never thought I’d see Americans enjoying it. Shy FX did more than any producer to bridge the gap into mainstream during the 00’s
Another reason the intro sounds familiar might be the siren sample playing in the background - I'm pretty sure Cypress Hill used the same one in the intro to 'I Wanna Get High'.
This isn't 17 years old! 1994 this came out, so it's 30 years old! I remember being in middle school, age 12 when this came out! Spliffy Jeans on, Kappa jacket and some squidgy black in my pocket! You should watch SHY FX and UK Apache with Chase and Status at Notting hill carnival

Shy FX has made LOADS of bangers over the years, such an innovator! Bambaata, The Message, Chopper remix, This Style, Ra - ALL certified bangers! (they're all instrumentals intended for the dance floor though so probably not suitable for reacting to)
This song obviously sampled many tracks to get say the drum beat, the bass, the dialogue which I believe is from the movie Goodfellas and the vocals/lyrics but the song itself has been sampled numerous times too, I suspect that part you recognised could be from a song that sampled this song, something like Remedy by Snoop, Busta and Chris Brown
I went to so many raves during my raving days from '98 to '04 and this track was played 3 times a night at almost all of them. Absolute banger with insane staying power and great to mix.
This tune is our urban national anthem I was 16 years old at a rave in 2000 walked into the drum n bass arena as this dropped it had one of the biggest impacts on me, since that moment I have been a true junglist by far the best music around. Still get chills when I think back to that night
