I’m touch too basically what I do is press jump boost at the same time to get high in the air without using a jump then I tap the boost button while controlling the ball until one of the players comes at me then I do a flick or shot(was a champion last season so I’m decent)
was stuck in plat 3 -5 last season until i saw a gold shot gameplay from mogz, instanly jumped to diamond 2 once i learnt it and made use of it more often (DUOS) because gold shots tend to bamboozle opponents. Bro, I’ve been using the horse kick since pre season to the point that I can boost towards the ball and horse kick. Probably the most useful mechanic cuz no one expects it.
My signature move is to pop it up with a gold shot and give it a light tap to the ceiling after that YOU go the ceiling get your jump back and some boost and ceiling shot from there
thanks for helping me realise why I kept on missing on the gold shot! I kept on facing away from the ball but jumped without holding the joystick, but when I tried it with my joystick I got it in the air more often :D
Mogz once again this was so helpful. I'm trying to do the gold when the car looks like it's spinning like a helicopter?( not air roll twirling). I've heard it called the "Golden Ticket" or "Wonka Gold". Ive seen the same player do it since season 1. it's not super powerful but it resets you somehow and is very unpredictable. The feathered boost helps and so does keeping my distance but I cannot get the spinning down. I've seen it done where the ball is mid airborn.. and a car(octane) spins upward like a helicopter timing it to do a gold and it resets him! I'll see if I can get this player to teach me.
