I don't understand getting the Suprim X just to remove that gorgeous cooler. Seems getting a Ventus would make more sense for a waterblock as the stock heatsink/fan assembly is pretty ugly.

If you install the 980 pro in m.2_1 socket on the maximus extreme , 3090 works only in 8x pci express and not at 16x ... its the same bandwitch... and i have the same configuration

@@Fr3ney M.2_1 socket is PCI 5.0.
If you install a drive there it will **DISABLE** PCIEX16(G5)_2 and since M.2_1 shares bandwidth with PCIEX16(G5)_1, any GPU in PCIEX16(G5)_1 will run at 8x instead of 16x, just like Robert said.
You should install Gen4/Gen3 NVMe drives in M.2_2,/M.2_3 slots and/or in the DIMM.2 (which can accommodate two NVMe drives).
You should only use M.2_1 if you have a Gen5 NVMe drive (which are not currently available, and in the knowledge that if you do this the GPU on the first PCIe slot will run at 8x).
I also have a Z690 Maximus Extreme.

I'm not entirely sure, but ins't that flowmeter aluminum? When I built mine I was thinking about installing an inline flowmeter and noticed the flowmeter that you used was aluminum. There was another one made of acetal (which I really considered getting), but in the end I skip the inline flowmeter because I didn't want the extra noise that most users reviews mentioned. You may want to do a full tear down of your loop to inspect your blocks, radiators, and brass tubes. Aluminum corrodes copper and nickle.
Hopefully you didn't have to take it apart because of the post error i had to do that once with my rig lol

Thanks, I was wondering if a Vector FTW3 would fit horizontally in an O11 XL.
Only thing wrong here is using that first m.2 slot. You're now sharing lanes with your GPU 5.0 slots and effectively halved the lanes. Don't use the first m.2, only use the second and third as well as the DIMM expansion.

There are only fans that blow outwards, none that blow in. Doesn't the housing always have a negative pressure and the housing draws in dust from all slots?
How much does this cost? I have a $5000 gaming budget , but i think that this is more than that . I would like to buy this
Acutally with 5k you could probably get such an PC right now, but only if you build it completely by yourself.
Buying a prebuild one like this will most likely be way more expensive, since custom water cooling is especially for pre-builders very expensive in long terms, because they also have to offer warranty and support for it and Charge hundreds more just because of that.

Your velocity two is installed incorrect orientation. Doing same build all black 8tb of 980 pro, 40tb hdd, i9, 3090, clear tubing, black fitting, a lot of straight runs with nice 90s, my one pain in the ass is the cpu outlet is designed to work and line up with the front res plate, i asked EK and they are making a new front res plate that is quantum 7 compatible to make all runs line up. Looks nice tho.
Nvm i saw a video that you can change orientation with a hit in performance but I wasn’t in the manual. Learn new things nice

Not a fan of it, there are just way too many pipes in the middle. It looks like a industrial PC. The motherboard alone is not the best of the motherboards out there. Gigabyte and MSi do have much better looking motherboards than this one.
