Mariah Carey - Always Be My Baby
Correct title: *Top 20 90s Pop Songs Mojo Forgot Were Awesome*
Believe by Cher
So many of these songs were my favorites!
😊 ur steal.my sun shine 1
I was a radio DJ in the 90s, and All 4 One came by to promote their new single on my show. The record rep handed me the CD, I pressed play and (as was normal) turned down the music and turned to talk to the guys. They said "no...turn this up." I was like...what? "We haven't heard this yet." They went into the studio, cut the tracks, went right back out on their promotional tour, and had never heard the final mix. So I got to watch them listening to "I Swear" for the very first time. Nice guys, too.
I saw them when I was about 12 in St. Louis. They were amazing!
I saw them and I shit u not John stamos and he was actually pretty good😮
Then they were sued for plagiarism soon after. The end.
@@dntakemesrs huh?
Growing up in the 90s, listening to grunge, metal, hardcore, punk, etc., I gotta say, I've always found Jennifer Paige's Crush to be an absolute banger of a summer song, and I still do.
Anyone that has ever heard Lisa Loeb's Stay ( I MissedYou) could never forget that
I can attest to that because I heard the song just about every week the year it came out.
Listen to “Downtown” by the band Ida…Daniel and Elizabeth sang backup on that Lisa Loeb song…Ida is suuuuper good
Definitely did not forget these. They were played everywhere!
20, 9, and 8 are still played in grocery stores
Not where I live 🤣
Take me back! Everything in the 90s was just better, i would give Everything up right now just to relive the 90s all over again
Trust me, Gen X never forgot.
who ?
You mean, boomers, right, kid ?
Amen!
@@nobodynoonenowhere5609 let us pray
Oh get over it
Indeed
Lovefool REALLY That's A Classic. ❤
Brings back memories of lost youth!
Don't sleep on Favourite Game
The 90's in general was awesome
People in the previous generation will disagree with you. They will say the 80s was awesome
@dakkuri1 the 80's *WERE* awesome. Nobody's saying they weren't...
90's was the bridge to the pop music we have today. It was not great lol
I was born in the 60s (👵🏼) and I give the 90s a slight nudge over the 80s/late 70s. Only a *slight* nudge. I think. 😂 2000s had a lot of great music as well.
@JohnEldred-ez8eq no, it was great. Following your logic, though, it would mean: since 80's music led to 90's music, then 80's music was bad, too. So was 70's, 60's 50's, so on and so forth. It's a poor argument with weak logic. Lolz
haven't watched the video yet... but I see Deee-Lite and Len on the thumbnail. So, pretty sure I'm gonna enjoy this video!!
You're fooled, lots of BS "music ", glad to be forgotten....(especially R @ B)
The humpty dance digital underground. great 1990s gold. Epic by Faith No More another classic
Millennial here, I loved listening to more than half of those, so many memories 😊
I still listen to Savage Garden! Their first album SLAPS!
So glad I'm a 90's child but I was born late 1988. The music back then was amazing. I still listen to most of these 😍🤣
Annie Lennox has one of the most beautiful voices of all of every generation of pop music.
Definitely. I love her too❤
I rarely leave two comments BUT I can't possibly go on enough about how AMAZING & sadly under-rated the talents of Annie Lennox is! She IS my favorite female voice of all time and this album is one amazing tune after another!! My DREAM COME TRUE would be to see her live!!!!
I've always loved "Love is a Stranger". It didn't get enough love. 😊
She's amazing indeed ❤
I remember herring all these hits back in 1990's, I married young and my husband still supported me to have so fun with my girlfriends while he was away serving, when my husband was home he'd join me Friday or Saturday nights, growing up from the mid 1970s into the early 1990s we had such good music no matter what you listened to
Most of these never were forgotten and still bop
Exactly i was like huh??
A number of them were also very successful beyond these songs.
Pm dawn set adrift of memory bliss - what a timeless classic
I have most of these songs on my Apple music playlist. I am a ‘90s kid and they all take me back to simpler days 😂😅
I just added the ones that I didn’t already have! 😂😂😂
I still can't hear "I swear" without picturing Ryan Reynolds wearing a fat suit in Just Friends 😂
Underwear 😂 Minions version better
Great movie
😂😂😂
Didn’t forget any of these. RIP to my childhood and RIP to Aaliyah, Melanie Thornton(La Bouche) and Pauly Fuemana(OMC). Your music lives on forever!
True.
I want you by Savage Garden is one of the best songs and I'm still a huge fan of Darren Hayes to this day
I didn't think you could but you got me with "Mouth", that is a great song I did forget about. And you got me again with "Legend of a Cowgirl", another great song. Thank you❤.
I actually never heard either of those before this video. I was really surprised I didn't know them all.
Number 2 and 1 are played on the regular at work. Never forgotten and never gets old.
I frequently blast Savage Garden. Love them! Always will!
I still have many on my Playlist (and my iPod Classic). Steal My Sunshine is a favorite. Just gets me back to a time where the world felt happier, easier and more peaceful. Good times...
I absolutely love that Workaholics used Lisa Loeb's "Stay" & even had her cameo in the episode!
Man, the 90s were the best. Almost every one of these songs brought back a core memory for me. I remember MTV's world premiere of "That's the Way Love Goes". I remember listening to "Lovefool" on the way to the mall to see Romeo & Juliet. "Steal My Sunshine" was a summer jam and I remember hearing it play as we roamed the county fair. I remember a coworker and I memorizing every word of "Stay" while we were bored working at the video store. The power of music to take us back to so many specific moments is incredible.
Steal My Sunshine is THE song! If released today, it would dominate!
Other 90s pop songs:
+Divine Thing by Soup Dragons
+All That She Wants by Ace of Base
+One More Try by Timmy T
+How Do You Talk To an Angel by The Heights
+We Got It Goin' On by The Backstreet Boys
+I Want You Back by NSYNC
+Vengabus by The Venga Boys
+Runaway by Real McCoy
+Because I Love You by Stevie B
VENGABUSSSS
We've Got It Going On is a great song!!!
I would swap out Runaway with Another Night by Real McCoy and would like to add
Third Eye Blind - Semi Charmed Life
Stakka Bo - Here We Go
I did not know Hugh Laurie and John Malkovich were in the Annie Lennox video
That's prince George from Blackadder the third (the role Laurie played in that series).
Fun facts: Hugh Laurie and John Malkovich starred in "Walking On Broken Glass" video.
Jennifer Lopez was one of the backup dancers in "That's The Way Love Goes" video.
I knew I recognized John Malkovich!! Thanks for his name, I could see his face from transformers but couldn’t catch his name in my brain!
Excuse who was in the Janet video? I still don't know her.
@@popmans9999🤣
"Free Your Mind" and "Groove is in Your Heart " are my favorites on this list. 😊
I was Lady Miss Kier from Deee-Lite for Halloween this year! Me too!!
Missing is one of the songs of my life ❤
Ain’t nobody forgot Aaliyah or Janet Jackson but this was a great list
Len made one notable song and it still exists in my personal playlist
Did you ever find it creepy that the lead singer and the chick are brother and sister but they are WAY too friendly in the video?
@echristoff5710 yeah, but they were drunk the entire video too so
I have NEVER forgotten about lovefool. Reminds me of watching Daria on MTV back in the day
I do remember almost all of them! My young years - oh, how sweet!
"Are You That Somebody" by Aaliyah always comes up on my TH-cam playlist! I love and miss Aaliyah 🙏😪❤️
Fatima Robinson, the choreographer for that music video, put out a VHS tape teaching that routine. And I may or may not have worn the tape down learning that routine lol.
@lexfaulkner nice! I loved the dance routine
Wow, this video just tapped into some of my forgotten childhood memories. I haven’t heard these songs in a loooong time. 😅
All these songs were on repeat at the knick knack shop i’d go to when i was a kid
Oh we did NOT forget! We keep them alive and loved to this day! ❤
Nobody forgot these songs!
Janet Jackson’s “That’s the Way Love Goes” is timeless and legendary. Check out Jennifer Lopez as her back-up dancer at 4:30 mark.
That whole album was great. I played it a lot. 😊
Damn. That is j-lo.
Before Selina film, Jennifer full time backup dancer
I caught that, too! Did you catch Hugh Laurie in Annie Lennox's video? I'm about to check and see, but I'm almost positive that's him.
@@Kiertianayes, that’s got to be Hugh Laurie!
I miss the late nineties ! Me and my bro would just jam the radio!
I'm a millennial and I jam out to all these songs on a daily!
Savage Garden are one of the best Aussie bands ever!
They were good!
12:00 - Melanie Thornton RIP
Thank you for this. I loved a lot of these back in the day! :o)
Just started the video and I can guarantee this 1981 born fella hasn't forgotten how good the 90s were.
Who forgot these hits? I still listen to all of these
Most of these songs I listen regularly when driving a car because they are still played on the radio.
Lisa Loeb - Stay =❤❤❤
as well as "I Do" and "Do You Sleep?".
@ Oh yes! Lovely❣️
Thank you Watchmojo, I listened "How Bizarre" about a month ago at the barber shop, I was humming at it all the day, I knew that song from before, but I didn't remembered how was it called or the lyrics, I was looking for it for like a couple of weeks with no luck, and now you guys helped me with it! Thanks again!
I Love You Always Forever is my favorite song on this list, I heard it as a young teen but when I heard it in Home and Away Promo video a couple of years ago made the song reservice in my mind and now I'm even more obsessed with that song, I Love You Always Forever is beautiful just hits hard and one of my favorite songs from the 1990s. 😍👍

I'm a millennial and all of these songs, including those in the 90s I listened to and love em all when I was a kid ❤❤❤
Elder Millennials shouldn't have forgotten, all these songs came out when we were finishing middle school or were in high school and were our jams.

Born 1980.
.... everyone of these is an absolute classic
I didn’t because I make sure to still play this era of music. 90’s and 2000’s is a very underplayed, underrated era of music 🙌🏽 #90sbaby
I bump LEN steal my sunshine almost everyday
I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND ARE YOU THAT SOMEBODY FOR LITERALLY 20+ YEARS NOW. Thank you, WatchMojo!
Please make more of these great videos, its brilliant to reminisce about forgotten jems like these
In 1999 I had relocated to South Florida and naturally, "Steal My Sunshine" was in heavy rotation. The song brings me back to that time. 😁
Love how music takes you back to an era in your life that you don’t give much thought to anymore - unless you hear a song that resonates with a time in your past. For good AND for bad 😂
Take me in your arms by Lil Suzy is still one of my favorite Freestyle dance songs honestly Freestyle is just a very forgotten EDM subgenre that just produced some of my favorite EDM pop songs.
I love the remix of "When I Fall In Love" personally :)
shout to WatchMonjo for giving Aaliyah her flowers. ❤❤❤
The 80's and the 90's were great !
There's no way i would forget any of those songs as a 1986 baby. I just had massive goosebumps when "I love you always forever by Donna Lewis showed up..
Still listen to 90's music. Even my kids say its better then most music out today.
It is cool when kids enjoy the tunes of your era.
That 1999 L.E.N steal my sunshine was one of my deceased brothers favorite songs before he died October 1st 1999
Semi-Charmed Life
Let's get a comment thread going with more: Stakka Bo - Here We Go

We older millennials remember and still love these songs!
Love the 90s, thank you. All these songs are memories to me. ❤
I don't know what WatchMojo is talking about LOL I still listen to most of these songs! Sometimes, they randomly come up on my TH-cam playlist. Mostly because I have listened to those songs previously
Yeah, they added just 10 Songs to a top 10.
@@jopalm3649 agreed
At 10:33 you say "The unique concept of having both singers in a rivalry against one another was entirely new." That's not true! Michael Jackson and Paul McCartney had a duet in 1982 called "The Girl is Mine."
Was just about to say the same thing
I can never forget Jennifer Paige's Crush being awesome, especially when I have the song on my phone to play anytime.
These songs and this list was basically the repeated playlist on military base radio stations in the 90s and 2000s far as i recall😏
We will never forget them! I want you,Lovefool,I swear, almost always on radio,Be my lover,Groove is in the heart,Missing,Bitch,Hugh Lorie in Walking on broken glass😂How bizzare(every time i loook around😁). Crush perfect number 1. Thanks for this. Great list😀
