the songs were not dubbed... they were made separately in the respective languages in which the movies were released...
I think they mean if the soundtrack does not belong to original Hindi content, which is a fair thing to say. Of course you can't dub over a song, you have to re-record it.

Yeah but they're still term as 'dubbed'. Like, the lip movements wouldn't be in sync. For that, you gotta shoot it simultaneously in multiple languages (for eg: movies like Baahubali, Eega or Sita Ramamam..they were made in both tamil and telugu. So the lip movements matched. But in hindi and other languages, it was only dubbed over).
I mean yes, it's still a pan-indian approach by the makers themselves hence better than what's done by T.V dubbing artists. A lot of A.R Rahman compositions have both Tamil and Hindi albums. It's a good thing😅
Honestly ppl blaming bollywood films that they're not giving good songs.. Mainstream bollywood films have some really good songs! Its the singles released by different production houses only for views that destroy the vibe! All those songs sound so similar!
No, people are still right. If you look it closely most of the Songs are Item numbers or Remakes/remix of Classics. Bollywood is lacking good songs like they used to produce in 90s or 60s.

All those songs sound similar ....well that's a problem.... most of the music producers beat makers loose their individuality...I think because of the record labels
most of these songs would sound great if they produce music with respect to the music composition....other than making songs with a" HIT SONG " template

Yes, most seemed auto-tuned. Sounded like electronic voices. Very few good songs in their that can be counted by hand from 1-10 good songs out of 100 songs.

Also, mostly remake songs that didn't even reach half the popularity that the original songs had reached.
There is no milestone song-making in Bollywood nowadays. It has become a factory that produces remake version of songs.
That's how our parents felt when our generation's music started adding all the crazy instruments in the background. Pretty sure this generation will feel the same once they grow up and music will be even more crazier. It's just a cycle.

These songs are not dubbed,they actually make those songs for other language ,composition is same but they hire proper lyricist who writes best possible lyrics for that language and then they record,its a lot of hard work that's why many of these turn out to be good in other languages.
Dude, the actors originally spoke the dialogues in Telugu. Which means the original content was in Telugu. So if the songs are in hindi, they will be considered dubbed only as these hindi songs are the original soundtrack of a dubbed movie.
Rick nailed it when he said everything sounds fused together. Cause it’s the worst time for Indian music. The glory days are before 2000s. 70s and 80s have the best to date. All singers and music today are singing the same song or have the same music.

I don't know but I feel the quality of songs has greatly deteriorated in recent years. I remember there was a time when all songs in Mirchi 100 were top-class. On the eve of New Year, it was a party of top songs on various FM channels!

It's because of the oversaturation of album and singles by independent artists which produce the same shitty and boring songs with the sam3 fucking bgm and beats and the goddammit remakes 🤢

The problem with today's songs are not autotune or EDM, it's the shortcut they use to mass produce these songs by remaking and copy pasting similar tunes with little or no effort in lyrics. Indian regional industries like Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi are still producing great music, it's just the bollywood that producing bad songs. I listened to songs from 50s to 70s to 2000s to 2010s and I loved songs from 1950-1970 and 2000-2015.
Lol a lot of these are non-bollywood songs. Just music videos released by T-series or some other label. That is why you do not recognize a good portion. Nor do I. They all are mediocre and kind of sound the same, as you guys pointed out.
Bollywood music has sounded cookie-cutter similar for decades now. Only a few disrupters like ARR, S-E-L, Amit Trivedi and indie MDs provided some variety. Now that they are less active in Bollywood, the music isn't very remarkable.
Bro... they are still from bollywood industry... The director of those songs are from Bollywood... the producer is from Bollywood... Most actors are from Bollywood... So. simply the songs are from Bollywood too...

What you're saying is true, then the film should have only done well in the hindi speaking areas. Pushpa was applauded across the globe, and I'm sure it's not because of the songs.

I think when listening to songs understanding the lyrics is a huge part of it. So, one of the reasons why the Hindi songs are more popular than other languages could be because of the understandability factor. Hindi is spoken or understood by most Indians, but those other languages are regional and have a limited audience. There are also non-Indians who have grown up watching Bollywood movies, which is mainly Hindi cinema, and they understand the Hindi language more than the regional languages.

We watch dubbed songs obviously not all of them but mostly.... like all Pushpa songs and RRR songs also dubbed beautifully in hindi

Non-Bollywood and Non-Hindi songs easily stood out and were great. Also don't expect people to watch movies that bashes them to further propaganda (Jayeshbhai Jordar and Lal Singh Chadha). Music and movies are completely different. People don't have to like movie just because they liked music. Expecting otherwise is stupid.
