I was in Margate so often in the 80’s, we’d get off the train head to Dalby’s, go back to the front for a walk around and then spend the rest of the day in Bembom Brothers aka Dreamland. Looping Star, the Mary Rose, scenic railway. How we kept those breakfasts down was a miracle! Happy days. Jolly Boys outing is my favourite episode of my favourite comedy of all time. Thanks DJ for bringing back those memories
The couple on the waltzers in the black and white Dreamland photo at 6:00 is my Mum and Dad, circa 1951. Our family, including my parents, didn't know of the photos existence until the summer of 2018 when it appeared on the wall outside Dreamland, just a few short months before my Mum died. I always enjoy your videos.
I'm a Whitstable boy. Took my daughter down there for breakfast on the back of my motorbike for her 15th birthday. Rodders and Del stopped of at the Roman Galley just outside Herne Bay. There is something special about the British sea side.

Eaten at the Dalby many times - solid greasy spoon, always great experience. Born and bread in Margate, left when I was 19, now 42 still love seeing my home town and can’t wait to take some time out and visit in the near future.
Just found your channel and so glad I did ☺️ nothing beats a greasy spoon and a fry up never tastes the same when you destroy the kitchen to make one at home. Happy days ☺️

Summer 21. Working on a job in Margate. Loved everything about it, the sunsets, the sunrises, the pubs and the restaurants, but the Dalby caffe was the crown jewel. Everyday started with a breakfast and a coffee there.
A traditional greasy spoon takes a lot of beating...no frills and quality food washed down by a simple cup of tea or coffee..brilliant or as you say: 'off the charts..'😀👍
You know it's awesome when you use the last bit of bread and butter to clean the plate!!😄 I would love to have another full Breakfast, it has been over 30 years since I visited family in Ashbury. I savored every bit and morsel.
Used to holiday in Margate back in the 50's/60's loved it, Dreamland and all the sticky sweet shops, browsing round the junk shops, those were the days. I'll be trying the Dalby if I'm down that way, thanks for the video. cant beat a good brekky.
This is the most interesting of vlogs from the Magician DJ The way Darren demolished the Curry challenge,then this big brekkie should prove to be a cakewalk.. ile have a few bob he beats the record of 18.5 minutes.. This vlog had several nostalgic moments esp the old photo of 'Temp passe'... When times were fun and frollicking by the beach was common practise. Going back to the breakfast it looked first class. Cant go wrong when theres HP, TK, and Sarsons in a wooden basket on the table, and the sound of the seagulls reminded me of being back on Jersey, so this ditty gets a solid 10 from Thailand. Well Done DJ...

I used to go to a Italian cafe opposite "Victoria Coach Station" everytime I had to visit GOS Hospital that served lovely breakfast and the cafe coffee!!
That looked very nice Darren. When you put the eggs on top of the fried bread I had to get the frying pan out ready for my breakfast in the morning. My only gripe is you needed to mop the plate up at the end with some bread. Enjoyed the vlog and keep them coming my friend.
I am 100% with you on a good old milky coffee. Looked a really good cleanly cooked fresh breakfast. That challenge mmmm Get The MacMaster down there :-)

When you remember how Margate was 25 years ago. Does make you feel a bit sad. Always used to go to the wimpy for the breakfast and Hot chocolate.
