I love how her family are so representative of herself in weird ways. You can go into how Goliad started out purehearted but was so easily corrupted, which is a lot like Peebs herself, starting off innocent and pure but having darkness take a place in her heart over time. Then you can go into Lemongrab and how he is a bastardisation of her, he cannot live up to her as her heir but he keeps on trying to in his increasingly violent ways. They both love dungeons, they both love technology, they're both angry, they both love creating life, and they both aren't the most social butterflies. But Lemongrab is an exemplified version of those negative traits. Even the candy people. They're all so quirky. Through to the finale she's still making banana guards. She clearly makes them so varied because she loves creating life and having all the candy people play different roles. Her uncle's right. "You're weird, Bubblegum!" What this does for the story is Bonnie's character isn't just self contained, it's represented by the world of the show itself. The candy kingdom, the lemon people, Goliad, her relatives, her relationships with the non-Candy cast members, these all say so much about her. Bonnie's influence on Ooo is tremendous and Finn and Jake are comparatively a small but powerful part of that network. They work directly for her the majority of the time!!! That's how important she is. Even Finn and Jake are an extension of her influence.

I have a theory that Lemongraab is all the bad things of PB in one character. All her sour traits in one being - perhaps she tried to extract those from herself (like you'd extract juice from a lemon) to hopefully become a more peaceful ruler. Idk, it's just interesting when you realize all the terrible things he did, PB does to a smaller scale at some point. She can be pretty controlling, which I love, she has the most depth of all the characters. Which is why Lemongraab is so fascinating. Another moment to look at for this is when she becomes the candy elemental, all those characteristics dissappear from her and Lemongraab. Obviously all the characters change, but I think it would've been interesting if they had changed Lemongraab into something bizarre - or if, instead of changing to candy, he just disappeared or became a small sour worm or something. As his sour traits made up his entire character, without those he would be nothing.
Lemongrab was a complete accident but you make an interesting point when you say all his characteristics seem to be derived from her own most negative traits. He's an antisocial shutin but he can't stand to be alone either, just like her??? And he's angry and he yells and he tortures and can't stop impulsively creating life to hollowly fill his need for company. He creates instruments of pain. These are all things that derive from her. But he inherited none of her sweetness or rationality or positive characteristics, so he is stuck with himself, a failure. Poor guy.

Marcie and PB should've sat down and discussed that A; PB had responsibilities as a ruler that she couldn't ignore and B; Marcie was feeling neglected and restless because of it. It's clear they both had some growing up to do before they could be together, and it's also clear that they both had the others back in the meantime. I went through the exact same scenario with my boyfriend. It's not easy, but it's ultimately what makes it worth it

Like obviously I’m not to the same extent at Neddy but a lot of the time I prefer my own company and in the past especially when I was younger I had trouble with my speech and couldn’t be with other people. In the videogame "Explore the Dungeon because I Don't Know", the mothergum is hidden underneath the castle, but it keeps expanding. The player character has to fight it, as it tried to reabsorb PB. It eventually turns into bubbles and floats away into the sky while everyone watches. Finn and Jake sort of killed it... Whether this is canon is questionable, as we never saw if she still hides the mothergum under the castle. It didn't appear in "Bonnibel Bubblegum", so it's unlikely to be exactly the same. Maybe it died early in its life cycle, or maybe the crew wanted to leave things ambiguous so as not to step on the game.
what about all of the candy citizen children and other food kingdoms she created that you didn't mention. Not a whole family tree if you don't include the tart toter and wildberry princess, breakfast people, you mentioned lemongrab though.
PB might actually be evil herself and not the true ruler of the Candy Kingdom and the true rulers of Goliad and Stormo and PB lied to everyone about them being clones she made. PB took over the Candy Kingdom ever since Finn first arrived in Ooo and wished for Prismo to erase everyone’s memory about Goliad and Stormo and replace them withPB herself in those memories, which also affects memories from past lives.

Princess Bubblegum is my favorite female character in Adventure Time.
She is good friends with Finn and Jake and she helps them whenever they are in a sticky-as-bubblegum situation in exchange for Finn and Jake fighting to protect her kingdom...
She also gave Finn a mechanical arm after his right arm was amputated by the grass sword's power.

Nah that might just be a random butterfly. Finn was a butterfly before the comet struck and was killed by the comet’s impact. PB was born after the comet struck. If it actually is Finn, that means the butterfly survived the comet, which is not likely.

In the videogame "Explore the Dungeon because I Don't Know", the mothergum is hidden underneath the castle, but it keeps expanding. The player character has to fight it, as it tried to reabsorb PB. It eventually turns into bubbles and floats away into the sky while everyone watches. Finn and Jake sort of killed it...
Whether this is canon is questionable, as we never saw if she still hides the mothergum under the castle. It didn't appear in "Bonnibel Bubblegum", so it's unlikely to be exactly the same. Maybe it died early in its life cycle, or maybe the crew wanted to leave things ambiguous so as not to step on the game.

PB took over the Candy Kingdom ever since Finn first arrived in Ooo and wished for Prismo to erase everyone’s memory about Goliad and Stormo and replace them withPB herself in those memories, which also affects memories from past lives.
