Genuinely surprised that you chose Miyamoto's light regrets with the final result of Zelda II over Aonuma having claimed several times that the development of Majora's Mask was one of his worse experiences, and looks back to the game in shame. If I remember correctly, he was surprised when there was such a demand for the game to be remade, and intentionally used the remake to make the game more "normal" and easier, removing and altering things he found to be absurd, gameplay-wise.
Yeah I am surprised Majora's Mask wasn't the Zelda entry also. It was really the only game I knew about that the creator didn't like. Can't blame Aonuma either since I heard they were under a major time crunch to create the game.
@@Zodia195 Yeah, Miyamoto told Aonuma that if they were to make another Zelda game for the N64, they had to do it in a year's time, which led to the reuse of several character models and ideas from Ocarina of Time. I also would've recommended Postal 3, the game so bad that Running With Scissors made an expansion to Postal 2 in 2011 (the game came out in like 2004) just to deem Postal 3 not canon. Maybe technically it's not their creation because they outsourced it to Russian developers who didn't know what they were doing.
Oh my god this. Mike J., co-owner of Running With Scissors, streamed it to raise money for the development of P4 and referred to the game as "AIDS for your Steam account". If only we lived in the alternate universe where RWS had the money to make the game and Akella didn't mangle it.
It’s really strange to hear anyone hate their own creations imo, considering that they poured plenty of time, energy and ideas into it in the first place. Also, I guess Miyamoto’s disdain of Zelda 2 means we’ll never get a proper remake of it. Which’s a shame, since if toned down to be less brutal difficulty-wise and given a map system for the overworld, then it can actually end up being a really solid game, rather than simply the black sheep of the Zelda franchise.
Not to mention, from Miyamoto's description of what he didn't like i the game, it sounds more like there were parts he'd want to improve, rather than just disliking the game as whole. The tricky part is finding a place that has one of these machines, cuz that one in Chuck-E-Cheese is the only one I’ve ever seen, and I love going to arcades to play games I normally wouldn’t have access to (like Flappy Bird and Ms. Pac-Man)

I have a countdown to suggest, although I'm not sure if you've done it before: Top 10 disappointing endings. I think the catch with "dissappointing" endings is that they may not exactly be "bad", just not what the player would have been expecting. Conversely, maybe they have some issues with them that keep them from being "good" or "amazing." Just a suggestion.
My biggest issue with Invisible War was that stupid universal ammo system. I shouldn't be unable to use a rocket launcher to take down a mech because I'm short on sniper ammo.
Videos like this make me think that you need to start including an Honorable Mentions section. Games you come across that don't make the cut for the list but that you think are still noteworthy.
I think a game that may be worth noting is Dark Sector, made by Digital Extremes. They wanted to make a more sci-fi inspired game, but were told to focus more on a modern setting to go along with the trend of realism. Though I suppose it could be less disappointment in the product and more disappointment over the change in vision... However that was enough that they went back and made that game the originally envisioned, creating Warframe- the game that turned out way more popular than any publisher expected. Hell, the poster-child "warframe", Excalibur, even uses the same design as they used for a suit worn by the protagonist of Dark Sector before the change in setting.
Flappy Bird's story is so interesting. Didn't know about the histories of these other games so it was cool to learn about! Thanks for sharing. Your content is always a good watch
I still have a slow version of Flappy bird on my android phone that runs around 1/2 the speed and its funny as hell watching someone play it thinking it's pirated, but it's not.
Not sure if this counts but the title made me think of Flappy Bird, it got so popular it made the creator feel he had to pull it from the App Store ... okay??? Thanks for another great vid and stay safe RabbidLuigi 💙🐱💙
I wish you talked more about games that were actually received well, like Majora’s Mask and Smash Melee. Hey, I just thought of a list that might be fun to do: *Lost Characters* Basically characters that were made for a game franchise, but then through some weird behind the scenes stuff, they ended up being either unused or unusable in future entries. Let me give you an example - Shade the Echidna from Sonic Chronicles: Dark Brotherhood. Appeared in the one DS game, but then BioWare got bought by EA... and because BioWare are the creators of Shade's character- you do the math.
No, Bioware didn't create Shade. Ken Penders created Shade for the Archie Comics, but then Bioware used her "without permission or paying royalties" that resulted in Penders' lawsuit against Bioware and Sega. Penders won and Sega was forced to surrender the entire Echidna Clan to Penders and made Bioware pay off the damages, leaving the company bankrupt. Months later, Penders proceeded to sue Archie for not paying royalties, and/nor giving him credit for his creations, as a means to take them back from the company. By then, Sega's contract with Archie had expired and made a new one with IDW, so Sega saved their own butts and left Archie under fire. As expected, Archie lost and was forced to surrender all of their Sonic creations such as the Freedom Fighters to Penders. Sonic fans today still refuse to accept this truth and delude themselves to believe Sega still owns these characters in question and credit them for the creation of Penders' characters and as of late, started a campaign to pressure Sega to add Sally Acorn to the Sonic mobile games after the IDW comic characters were added last month.
@@X2011racer I did not know any of that. But... did Shade ever actually appear in any Archie material? Seems the only content we have to relate her with IS Sonic Chronicles.
@@greatsageclok-roo9013 She had an ongoing arc alongside another female Echidna who would later be renamed Lara-Su in Pender's "The Lara-Su Chronicles". Unfortunately, the Penders lawsuit cut the arc short, forcing a reboot for the Archie comics that didn't last long due to Sega's contract expiring. This in turn also caused the Mega Man crossover to abruptly end with no proper ending.
Gotta admit, I was thoroughly entertained by the mix up of the celebrities, not sure why no one else has commented on it. Glad to see someone else wanted to point it out hahaha

How insane was the Flappy Bird fad? After the game was taken off the digital platforms, people were selling on eBay phones with Flappy Bird installed on them at grossly inflated prices. We're talking 4 digits for used phones that wouldn't sell over 100$ otherwise. That's a tiny bit more reasonable than the people who tried to use eBay to sell bags of "air from Kanye concerts". (Yup, that happened too, and if I recall, it was around 2014-2015 as well.)
I doubt he hates it now or anything, but if he's not able to take a break from it because of all of the demand from the fanbase, I feel like Sakurai might hate Smash Bros at some point. Poor man just wants some rest
Honestly, _Deus Ex: Invisible War_ is my favorite game in the franchise. It could be that it was the one I played first, but out of the three games I've played to completion - the original, _Invisible War,_ and _Human Revolution_ - I liked _Invisible War_ the most.
It's hard to feel sympathy for Phil Fish. I think a lot of his problems were more because of his own issues as a person, not because of the people he loved to pin them all to. His toxic behavior is not missed in the industry
Oh please, Flappy Bird was a mobile game. Whether it was Android or iOS, I guarantee you there are copies of it on apk sites and jailbreak app stores. It would have been easier to remove Flappy Bird if it *was* physical media! As digital, it will forever live on. You can still go download it right now.

I did not skipped the add just to listen the persona 5 song.
How about top ten pseudo mascots for game consoles. If you don't understand, I mean characters that are synonymous with game consoles, but were made by a third party developer, like how Phoenix Wright is synonymous with the DS, but is a capcom character.
Wow, I got hit by a wave of nostalgia when you said Flappy Bird. Man, things were better back then.
Nostalgia for 2014... There needs to be a cap on these things.
I remember Flappy Bird veing pulled shortly after news outlets reported some kid killed his little brother after he beat his flappy bird high score. So everyone at my school thought that's why it was pulled, since the creator felt guilty about that.
Weirdly enough, theres a flappy bird arcade cabinet at one of the bowling alleys around here (which I didnt know was a thing until I saw it there).
I once saw a 2 player flappy Bird cabinet at a Six Flags
I saw a Temple Run arcade cabinet, apparently they have Fruit Ninja too
Top 5 sequels to games that got ignored.
Like Xenoblade Chronicles X. Everyone loved the first game and because the 2nd game had almost nothing to do with the first game and was more open world and less story driven it got mostly ignored. But I'm sure there are some more examples out there
I started replaying it the other week and I forgot how much I liked the game so it's still fresh on my mind. I do hope we get a sequel and a port one day
Super Mario galaxy 2
Raycon: Does another sponsor
Me: Can you not sponsor someone? FOR FIVE MINUTES!
Sorry for the mean comment, I’ve just been seeing so many of their adds lately.
I like to think of it less of Rabbid is supporting Raycon and more Raycon is supporting Rabbid. They are paying him for this while TH-cam is being a butt over copyright and such. I think that is the best way of looking at it.
My advice to you would be LET’S PLAY RAID: SHADOW LEGENDS
@@michaelplatt1959 they pay people thousands of dollars to sponsor it. I'd be happy if Rabbid did cause that would mean he gain a ton of financial help through it.
Raycon adds are a lot less obnoxious than adds for an obviously scummy and cheap game that are a pain to watch. I would rather see a bunch of video sponsorships from stuff that isnt a total scam
The Ironic part is that raycons are actually really shit wireless earbuds
I like how you said 'Snoop Dogg' and showed Cardi B's picture (and vice versa)
"What might have been if Twitter didn't exist." - Do you want that alphabetically or chronologically.
I like how you touch on Majora's Mask as a good sequel despite Aonuma repeatedly saying he wishes fans would forget it existed because he didn't like how it turned out.
Of course he has no issue with Zelda 2's difficulty. He's the one who decided to make Mario 2(the original), just be Mario 1's long lost Hard Mode.
EA is the reason fear and anxiety is mixing with my hype and excitement for Dragon Age 4
Top 5/10 Controversial Sequels/Reboots that would've been better received as stand alone games
For the song at 10:50, Sync from Fez, you really should have used the in-game version, rather than the OST one. The sounds of the platforms appearing and disappearing are integral parts of the song and it plain doesn't sound right without them.
ummmmmm... you guys know that there are Flappy Bird arcade machines, right? I saw one at a Chuck-E-Cheese last time I went, before they went out of business, and that was WAY after it was taken off the App & Play stores. Now I don’t know if those were actually created by the creator to be put out or if someone swiped the I.P. to make a quick buck, but either way, Flappy Bird isn’t gone forever. The tricky part is finding a place that has one of these machines, cuz that one in Chuck-E-Cheese is the only one I’ve ever seen, and I love going to arcades to play games I normally wouldn’t have access to (like Flappy Bird and Ms. Pac-Man)
Surprisingly 0 Bubsy! wow! Bubsy, If you didn't know, is infamous for its devs hating him.
during the creation of Bubsy 2, the devs stabbed plushies of Bubsy with pencils and hung them from the celing.
during the creaton of Bubsy 3, the devs mockingly repeated Bubsy lines at each other just to annoy each other.
hell, even Miachel Berlyn, Bubsy's creator, hates Bubsy 2 and 3D for their low quality.
Top 5 martial arts styles in video games.
Videos like this make me think that you need to start including an Honorable Mentions section. Games you come across that don't make the cut for the list but that you think are still noteworthy.
He does (kinda). The music and background of the “number X” slides has been said to be a type of homage to games that didn’t quite make the cut.
Top 5/10 Obscure Nintendo Characters. Don't worry, there's a whole Twitter account to pull from if you need to.

11:26 What’s that game?
I think the video we all need is Top Five Rabbid Luigi Top 5's 👀
1:34 Looking cool, RabbidLuigi!
What's the name of the song at number 5?
Please, I'm losing my mind
Flappy Bird's story is so interesting. Didn't know about the histories of these other games so it was cool to learn about! Thanks for sharing. Your content is always a good watch
2:42 - James Rolfe: Who dares summon me?!
Also, this is where the video actually starts.
Surprised postal 3 isn’t on here. I’d say it’s be an easy number 1 spot since the devs don’t hide the fact they hate it at all.
I wonder if Miyamoto even likes Sticker Star.
Seeing he's one of the causes why the game came out as shit as this was...
I bet he loves that crap.
@@lol-ih1tl Do you know that fanbase was basically cheated and was there the whole time? Also, good critiques does not mean a good game.
I still have a slow version of Flappy bird on my android phone that runs around 1/2 the speed and its funny as hell watching someone play it thinking it's pirated, but it's not.
Do Top 5 video games that are hidden gems
I appreciate the persona music during the Raycon ad... but I already have some
Not sure if this counts but the title made me think of Flappy Bird, it got so popular it made the creator feel he had to pull it from the App Store ... okay???
Thanks for another great vid and stay safe RabbidLuigi 💙🐱💙
I wish you talked more about games that were actually received well, like Majora’s Mask and Smash Melee. It’s kinda obvious that a developer wouldn’t like a bad game, but it’s much more interesting to me when a developer doesn’t understand why people love their creation. Still a good video though, it’s just my preference.
You are so right!:) I did not notice the earbuds untill you showed up on screen ;)
What is the game at 11:26? is that 20xx?
I wanted to get some raycons. But when I tried to order it, I got told that they didn't ship to England. So I'm not sure why Rabbidluigi is advertising them or how he was able to get them. I mean this was a few months ago so things might have changed
How about game series with divisive/split fanbases? Like half of the fanbase liking certain aspects of a game, and the other half disliking it. I dont know how similar this would be to "top worst game communities", but it's a thought.
Got a couple good examples
-Final Fantasy 8
-Skyward Sword
-Death Stranding
-The Last of Us 2
-Sonic The Hedgehog.... the entire franchise.

4. The Legend of Spyro
5. Crash of the Titans
6. Fire Emblem Awakening/Fire Emblem Fates
7. Advance Wars: Days of Ruin/Dark Conflict
8. Mega Man X7
9. R.C. Pro-AM 2
10. Any Star Fox game after Star Fox 64
Top Five Good Boss Fights in Bad Video Games
I don’t understand the complaints around Zelda II’s death mountain. Zelda II is a hard game, but I’ve never found Death Mountain any more difficult than anything that came after it
Hey, I just thought of a list that might be fun to do: *Lost Characters*
Basically characters that were made for a game franchise, but then through some weird behind the scenes stuff, they ended up being either unused or unusable in future entries.
2:03 Nobody's gonna point out that you mixed up the two celebrities names.
Probably because everyone skips the ad reads anyway.
Gotta admit, I was thoroughly entertained by the mix up of the celebrities, not sure why no one else has commented on it. Glad to see someone else wanted to point it out hahaha
You forgot about how the staff at Nintendo hate Thousand Year Door.
Flappy Bird also spawned a metric "butttonne" of knockoffs.
2:00 oh hey it's rabbidluigi playing with himself
"Top 5 games which came back from the dead" or "Top 5 worst mobile spin-off games" would both be cool ideas.
And if I'd want you to talk about one specific game, I'd say Pokken Tournament.
Literally any mobile mario game could fit in the second list
I'm pretty sure "Angry Video Game People" is a case of tautology.
Omg I love that pic with Suda
If you're worried about imposter syndrome, just turn it on its head. Yes, you're an imposter, but you're a genius imposter who has successfully fooled everyone.
I don't know if your talent is real, but at the very very least your talent at being an imposter must be real.

That dynasty warriors game with an open world would probably be on that top list. For the second list, KIU most likely.
What are those earbuds you're using?
I heard that Persona 5 music during the Raycon sponsorship... :)

I doubt he hates it now or anything, but if he's not able to take a break from it because of all of the demand from the fanbase, I feel like Sakurai might hate Smash Bros at some point.
Poor man just wants some rest
It really does not help that Nintendo one time announced a Smash game before asking Sakurai to come back for it.
Honestly, _Deus Ex: Invisible War_ is my favorite game in the franchise. It could be that it was the one I played first, but out of the three games I've played to completion - the original, _Invisible War,_ and _Human Revolution_ - I liked _Invisible War_ the most.
Didn't Nintendo not want to make Super Mario Galaxy 2 because they felt that the first game was complete and Didn't need a sequel???
It's hard to feel sympathy for Phil Fish. I think a lot of his problems were more because of his own issues as a person, not because of the people he loved to pin them all to. His toxic behavior is not missed in the industry
_Zelda 2_ is highly underrated imo
Oh please, Flappy Bird was a mobile game. Whether it was Android or iOS, I guarantee you there are copies of it on apk sites and jailbreak app stores.
It would have been easier to remove Flappy Bird if it *was* physical media! As digital, it will forever live on. You can still go download it right now.
Hot damn, 30 seconds after upload. That doesnt happen often. You make good shit rabbid!
