I'm always amazed at just how much fun he's having and how easy/effortless he makes it appear.

For him, I'm sure it was effortless.

I totally agree. I play this and it’s one hell of a forearm workout.

You can tell just by how he performs this that it's more than a show. He genuinely loved doing what he did, and genuinely loved the people he performed for.

The hand movements are amazing and I love the way his body "dances" with the music. What a fantastic performer!

I agree with you, he is talented. But his style of playing is bad imo sometimes. For example, the trioles would sound much better with a little pedal but he leaves them all 'dry'. It sounds horrible

In fact, by the standards of a heavyweight concert pianist, he wasn't really in the room, hence the need for the flamboyant clothes and staging to grab your attention. Well, that and the homosexuality.

That looks like his brother George - the middle of the three violinists - playing with him.
I'm sure Liberace would have been able to play the Cziffra arrangement. Look how 'easy' he makes this version look. He's just having fun with it. I doubt whether he really stretched himself over many of his pieces. He was a VERY capable pianist and much underrated by the musical snobs.
I wish I had half his technique!
