Yes, this is the theory that popped into my head while recording Too Short to Ride's review. Also I have social obligations so I probably won't be home to watch and review The New Lars tonight, but it'll definitely be up tomorrow.
with peridot i think the issue is that all peridots are too weak to have powers. i may be wrong, but i think peridot implied one time that they can force gems to emerge. could be they changed the standard for peridots that they are 'born' prematurely, before they have the energy to have powers. basically, undercooked. the lmb enhancers were used as a means to amplify what little there was there.
Actually, that lawsuit wouldn't go through. The Zelda franchise didn't create the Sierpinski triangle. It would be an entirely different situation however if the Hylian Crest was used.
But wouldn't they know that they were using their powers? Or would Yellow Diamond just say it was something that came built in with the limb enhancers? So many questions...
If your theory is correct .. Maybe she poofs peridot or lapis and they reform with a Star.... Yeah I really wanna see them with the crystal gem star already!
Nah They made Era 2 Peridots she just didnt know she had powers because supposely " They had no powers because of their generation", and Yellow diamond didnt give flying f*cks so she kept making them for technical issues.
I'm pretty sure it's not metal bending, but telekinesis. Peridot just assumed her power happened with metal because that's how it began. I also think that her power can only be activated when she has a strong emotion or feels threatened. For example, in too short to ride, peridot felt really strongly about her tablet and how it was a piece of her. Her power ignited when she felt this part of her threatened by amethyst throwing her tablet into the ocean. Or at least that's what I think anyway...... 😉
You know what I just realized: Bismuth's Gem has four section: yellow, green, blue and pink. Yellow and Blue are both colors of two of the Diamonds. Pink is the Color of both Rose and Pink Diamond (or just Rose if she was Pink Diamond once). And if you look on the Symbol of the Diamonds you can see that in the middle of the white, the blue and the yellow triangle there is a small green one. (Sidenote: Maybe the color of the fusion of the three diamonds.) So basicly Bismuth is colored in the, well, colors of at least three diamonds. Honestly I can't do much with it, just theorizing that Bismuth maybe has a direct connection to them like for example that she was an experimental new Gem created by the Diamonds personaly. But I'm sure you (the person who reads this comment) can do something out of it.
if there was a planet that was as good as earth, or better, and uninhabited, it has either already had the life sucked out of it by Homeworld, of it hasn't been discovered yet.
The gems would've colonized the Earth first regardless of whether or not it had life on it simply for the fact that it is the largest and most dense terrestrial body in the Solar System and therefore the most useful for gem production. Mercury is small and low on silicates. Venus would be a bitch to colonize even by Gem standards, and Mars is small. Everything else is either made of ice or gas or is to small to be an immediate priority.
But lapis has a diamond on her outfit so no homeworld gems would attack her it could only be a crystal gems and why would they put so much detail on a random gem.
+Ryan Carson it's not bismuth's fault she was just doing her job if anyone is to blame it's lapis she shouldn't have brought her blue was to the damn battlefield bismuth is a crystal gem and lapis was a homeworld gem they were enemies anyway bismuth poofed lapis and she was picked up by a HOMEWORLD SOLDIER and confused for a crystal gem that soldier was the one who placed her in the mirror
What if yellow diamond is lying about the powers of gems to ensure no future rebellion? Maybe that's why fusion is such a taboo thing? Fusions are strong as HECK.... And if all the newer gems think they're weak, that would squash any thoughts of going against the Diamond Authority, right?
Lets get this clear! Most Gems are made from a metal+ element. Bismuth crystals are an oxide of this element, as many other gems in the world, with their respective metal or organic matter. But Bismuth doesnt have a nickname as many gems do. Sapphire and ruby's composition is Al2O3 Aluminium oxide (another metal). But we dont call them Aluminiums, just because they had their common names before we knew what they are made of. Quartz are another oxide of the element Silicon(silicon is a metaloid). Even the color for them are other metals that got mixed in to oxidice the rock. And all of them, even bismuth can be grown and cultivated the same way. The only one who's different is Pearl, who is mostly an organic precious stone, who is still classified as a gem in gemology. Now, if this theory was right, Peridot should be able to move everyone with her powers, since even humans contain metal in them. So, I think this theory is wrong. As we've seen, may be Peridot's power is just Telekinetic in general, or Technokinetic, wich sounds more into her character. We see Amathyst changed her appearance, that means she got puffed, and that might happen before or during bismuth getting unbubbled. Is more possible to spect Bismuth fighting against Amathyst after being unbubbled, cause she doesnt know her, and we dont know what was she doing when she got locked, or if she was corrupted and Steven healed her. As we do know, corrupted gems will attack, no matter what, and bubbled gems keep their minds on what they were doing at the moment they just got bubbled, from the episode Catch and released.
Excellent explanation for the recently and the back information about the gems and the science that bound them to the reality and i appreciate what you bring from facts and chemical reactions and it's relation with the gems it so fascinating knowing that the gems could be consider as a minerals as the part of the unorganic form that involve in the construction of the earth and the rest of astral material and the form that it take it as planets comets and even inside the organic creatures which been formed inside the suns as the elements that constructing their body and their earth's and most of the solar system and the galaxies and the unknown amounts of the forms and material in the universe including the particles and the energy forms and the cosmic fabric that constructing the universe we live in so it seem that the show not only focusing in the bonds of the earth and the gems in it with the outsider unorganic life forms its also does on in the facts of the gems and the resources that the gem could need to grow strong and have much of abilities that might be exist in any planet or land they want to use to create more gems and what the real common bonds that keeps them at the most activity with the rest of the minerals and gems so a gem is kinda a mineral then what could affects on a gem could also affects on a mineral or any thing else have minerals within and i think that includes the living creatures as well then its coming to the level of a universe of a places to find and gems to be made or create with any kind of power and ability but it's seem that the homeworld focusing more in the number of the armies they could have from any colony they had or will and the developing of their expanded empire and the advanced weapons they could have maybe to take down more planets or solar systems at ease or to prepare for a major threat that crackle their plans of grow a powerful civilization not have alike in the universe so earth had took it's time and now it's not much valuable right now then they (yellow diamond) intend to use it for a strategical purposes then we come to the gems and their powers and how it deals with their original construction then it does make sense that peridot can actually control anything that had metal but that could need for some time to master it and that could include every thing that has mineral in it as she said about not having the standard gems abilities because the lacks of the resources so they went to the technical powers as the mineral bending or maybe their is more than this ability for the new or 2nd era gems maybe like an atomic manipulating or beems as their physical form are actually made of light or a radical particles or maybe even teleport them selves as when they send the bubbles back to the temple without needing for a wrap or making a barrier who knows i think that if peridot mastered her power she may be able to construct a robot in the air or collect the items to make it in one point then form it immediately and even to control weapons from away and let it fight for her then she is not in the need to have even limb enhancers or her size wont be a problem with that fact if that what she could reach as to be maybe the first gem or peridot to use her hidden gem abilities or the unmagical powers that she could wield within her gem there is a lot to be talking about for the minerals and its relation with the gems and how they could use it for their sake but i think that is enough for now sorry for the long many wordy talk but i can't help but to think a lot about this show and what's connected with the reality i wish to all of you and for the show creators to have their dreams comes true and to be a better persons and thanks
lucy dragneel Im not sure if you are exagerating or you just dont know the differences between a paragraph and a line. Anyway, we enjoy writing a well explained thought in just one Paragraph.
i highly dislike your stupid bismuth rage theory. Bismuth was probably just fighting home world and lapis got caught in the crossfire. I find it more likely that Lapis will attack Bismuth in revenge, because thats what lapis has done multiple times. Bismuth has no quarrel with crystal gems, but Lapis would probably want revenge for what bismuth did to her, similar to how she attacked jasper and peridot.
+Duncan Mckinney It's rude either way, you totally could've said "I don't agree and here's why...". He's just here putting his thoughts out for everyone.
+Ms.Aweso-meme and, all theories deserve to be criticized and challenged, because they're trying to be truth. You cant say something isn't stupid just because it's a theory. Experimental gems were an atrocity to the crystal gems. why would rose perform one? she loves all life, so why would she do something vile and possibly torturing just to make an experiment? and also, what have we seen of bismuth being violent? her attacking a home world gem in a war? everything else points to her being fun and nice, not berserk. If she was berserk too, she probably would've had a different expression during the war than the smiling face of someone whos winning a battle. His theory holds no basis and is only kept "relevant" because we know nearly nothing.
+Duncan Mckinney I didn't say you couldn't challenge the idea, I'm saying you don't have to use such a rude selection of words to get your point across. I have my own opinions on this theory, just like you, and yeah; some of it doesn't seem like it matches up. But just because YOU don't agree, doesn't mean you should call it stupid.
+Christopher G I want centipeedle to stay everyone thinks her healing might be temporary but that doesn't make sense unless she was a homeworld gem and they bubbled her but we will find out next Wednesday
+Wolfinatophat Gaming I used the clues that the War Bismuth ha longer hair, more masculine features, and is way more aggressive and malicious, but everyone just said she probably reformed and changed er ways
On Peridot and her metal powers: I believe it is highly likely that she had this power to begin with and was using it to control her limb enhancers, but just didn't realize it.On Bismuth's encounter with Lapis and Peridot: This is entirely plausible, but it could end up taking many forms depending on Bismuth's personality. Bismuth being a berserker is possible, but the big question is why her bubble was placed where it was. Wouldn't it have simply been simpler to keep her in the temple with the other bubbled gems? That way any of them could have recovered her when they needed the extra muscle.
Rebecca did say bismuth is more of a male build, just the voice actor is female, as hey puberty can be weird like that to some males in real life key word real life
Black Pants The OP was alluding that they were gonna be a male gem. It's not called a male build, by the way. A female can also achieve a muscular body. Gems are sexless, not genderless, regardless of what Rebecca says. She got the definitions mixed up. Gender is how you act or dress like. They act and dress like females, they even address themselves as such. Therefore, their genders are female.
1:17 *Excellent* catch! That adds yet another reason for why Periot was so pissed at Yellow Diamond. Which gives me the idea that the ressource shortage was not the cause, but a *result* of homeworld's current expansionist militaristic society. Would go well with the enviromental message.
I have a similar belief, but not quite the same. Personally, I don't think that Bismuth is bad or crazy, she was just in the middle of a war, and attacked someone who she didn't realise was just a bystander. Also, I don't think Bismuth is gonna snap at seeing Lapis, I think Lapis is gonna snap at Bismuth, and it won't end up being much of a fight, more of Lapis wiping the floor and not even giving Bismuth a chance to fight back. I don't know, the idea of Bismuth not intentionally causing Lapis all of that pain and Lapis snapping at her for it is something that I could see the show doing.
Dude you are seriously AWESOME all the things you say are so close to what will happen in Steven universe but I was never told that there will be a special event called bismuth but now that I'm you mention it, I am EXCITED
The fact that peridot mentions that home world's resources are dwindling completely changes the context of Yellow Diamonds demands. I kinda thought this just by the way she asked "How is... earth" but knowing they could use those resources makes this appear far more personal. Also while thinking of what you said, I realize we actually have seen evidence of Male gems. In "The Answer" there are a bunch of blue diamonds court that have masculine designs and even voices. Sure it can probably be said that "Well it's just an error in the flashback" but saying that would throw the entire flashback's details into question then.
I imagine Bismuth v. Peridot would go just like Wolverine v. Magneto. Bismuth would be charging furiously at Peridot and Peridot would just stop her mid-charge and throw her into something xD
I do think we could have a Amethyst vs Lapis episode, as we see Amethyst has become very protective of Peridot, so if she sees Lapis bully Peridot, it is on.
If Peridot doesn't recognize Bismuth as a metal, my guess is she'll see her roommate being attacked and will reach out her hands to try and help somehow and actually does help.
If you look at Peridot's page at SU wikia, you can see that her metal powers is called ferrokinesis, if anyone wanted to know~ Great video by the way! Your theory about Amethyst defending Lapis and Peridot sounds reasonable, because of Amethyst's new shape. But soon enough we will know what's gonna happen. For now, let's look forward to the new episode. I'm ready for it!
If the theory of Homeworld fighting a larger battle to not have resources anymore is true, it makes Yellow Diamond attacking Earth and wanting the Cluster much more understandable: the Cluster is a superweapon that could turn the tide of the war
Well, Earth was used to make the Geoweapon, so. She wants the strankz of Gem of all. Also, she could just have resources out the butt, just doesn't care about doing anything different. "If it isn't broke, why fix it?" sort of mentality.
'Why would they waste time sending Peridot and Jasper if they're at war?' Because they were checking on the cluster, which is mentioned to be 'a giant geo-weapon bigger than Earth.' If the Cluster 'hatched' Homeworld could use it to end the war quickly -and messily.-
Here's my Bismuth theory. She, along with many others like her, were results of Homeworld making their own super soldiers to fight in the war. After Bismuth accidentally poofed Lapis, Yellow Diamond exiled her to Earth where she met Rose and fought alongside her.
In the episode "it could've been great" peridot explains the plans for earth so, yellow diamond does care about resources, but I think that with the rebellion, yellow diamond saw earth as a lost cause for gem colonization so instead used it as her advantage to make a geo weapon while getting rid of the rebellion. two birds with one stone.
1. Shame this was wrong it would have been cool (apart from the reason she was bubbled) 2. Bismuth isn't a man-made metal, it's the hopper-shaped crystals that it's known for (which is what Bismuth is based on) that almost never occur naturally and are formed in labs or domestically.
I think the lack of resources might be because the war on earth may have inspired other gems to rebel on other planets, keeping the colony from expanding, and preventing the increasing of resources.
Sticking with your theory on the possibility of Homeworld being in a battle with another entity, if we all recall, Peridot's original mission was to check on the cluster. What if the mission to Earth was a top priority not just because the Diamonds hate earth, but because they were in need of that weapon to increase their chances because their lack of resources? With their newer gems lacking special powers, they would need something more powerful to make up for that. Maybe the Diamonds lack the power to defeat whatever it is on their own since they are down a Diamond.
Honestly, now that the episodes out and all, looking back at this theory, this would have fit PERFECTLY. Biz is all up in homeworld about shattering, so having something like this, would have been perfect... Also, peridot is like, my 3rd favorite character after "two short to ride" so...
Bismuth was poofed because she wanted to shatter homeworld gems but rose wouldn't allow it so rose and bismuth fought and rose bubbled her and hid her from everybody
i think the recourses dwindling on homeworld is because of forced fusion. As we know, Homeworld conducted expirements to try to make bigger and stronger gems, which means that if that one fails, they need to make those gems again and try again. And that they tried to make as much era 1 gems as possible before they had to resort to era 2, hence peridots inability to shapeshift
I wonder if the Era Two Peridots all got metal powers because Homeworld had experimented with metallic gems, like Bismuth in the past, but then phased them out because of their toxic personalities. Then later when their resources began to dwindle, they were forced to use whatever scrap materials they had to construct new gems, including leftover Bismuth-forming materials. And maybe since Homeworld only used a part of Bismuth' s makeup that was non-reactive, the Era Two Peridots would be made with personalities intact. Homeworld probably wouldn't even realize their Peridots had the ability to warp metal, or if they did, they kept it a secret from the populace.
I know people like Avatar, but the term for Peridot's ability is magnokinesis. Since Gems are just mind with a holographic body I can see multiple forms of psychokinesis being used. This would also help the theory that Homeworld lies to their population. As one form of psychokinesis is geokinesis.
With the " why would jasper and peridot be sent to earth if there is a war going on" thing, I'd think that they are sent to check on the cluster, (their weapon for the war) if there WAS a war.
A theory that filled my head while watching last nights episode was that what if the diamonds are lying to the home world gems about the fact that the resources are declining and so the newer gems don't have powers as a way to stop any more rebellions against the diamonds
Well what ever happens Bismuth is going to be bubbled/corrupted/shattered by the end of the special. Remember, the woman doing her voice is listed as a special guest not a permanent cast member.
Yellow Diamond probably doesn't want to conquer Earth because it'd take up too many resources with the Crystal Gems still there. Jasper's an older gem that is more intelligent and a vital general that Homeworld needs to retrieve as they can't afford to lose her.
Maybe she became corrupted. Because in same old world she had no detail in her eyes. Also that evil smile. Anyway, maybe Rose bubbled bismuth because she was corrupted. Keep in mind the only things that the gems do bubble are mostly corrupted gems. Also this episode takes place after monster reunion, which Steven heals centapeetle. So it wouldn't be a surprise if Steven healed bismuth too.
If all Peridots probably have the metal-kinesis ability, it could even be how the fingers on their limb extenders work. Maybe Homeworld doesn't tell them it's an inherent power, to keep them reliant and subservient.
I think that both could be both in terms of resources. Yellow Diamond doesn't care and just wants to keep doing what she is doing because there is a bigger situation in the background.
Yes, this is the theory that popped into my head while recording Too Short to Ride's review. Also I have social obligations so I probably won't be home to watch and review The New Lars tonight, but it'll definitely be up tomorrow.
hey
Awsome vid
I WROTE THIS THEORY AS WELL
Hey round table, guess what? NOTIFICATION SQUAD.
Hey I have a question. Why didn't Lapis deform when her gem was cracked?
I think that she always had metal bending powers, thats why she could control her limb enhancers
Exactly!
Dont think so....
She seemed pretty suprised herself to own this powers. I think the limbs even stopped her from realizing her inner strenght.
they did, she thought it was normal and anyone with limb enhancers could do it so she never tried and she was told she had no powers
Or at least, some latent part of her which she never used which now helps with her powers, was involved with her tech enhancements.
with peridot i think the issue is that all peridots are too weak to have powers. i may be wrong, but i think peridot implied one time that they can force gems to emerge. could be they changed the standard for peridots that they are 'born' prematurely, before they have the energy to have powers.
basically, undercooked.
the lmb enhancers were used as a means to amplify what little there was there.
i like the fact that steven universe had to slightly overlap the diamond authority symbol to dodge a lawsuit from zelda
OMG Thats right lol
yea in the beginning episode the red eye has the triforce on it.
+Rainbow Ribbons GOOD LORD!!!
And the illuminati
Actually, that lawsuit wouldn't go through. The Zelda franchise didn't create the Sierpinski triangle. It would be an entirely different situation however if the Hylian Crest was used.
Lapidot vs amedot: Civil war, whose side are you on?
Lapidot mate
amedot asf
+Peridot grind that smurf lady
Amedot
LAPIDOT
I guess you could say lapis and jasper were
Toxic together
+ÆRO HEAD I don't get it
+Poop Jasper and Lapis' fusion is Malachite. Malachites are toxic gems in real life, and Malachite has a toxic personality.
Bunda dun dun tsh
XD
A Flamboyant Fandom Trashcan ths joke was CRYSTAL CLEAR
it's 22 minutes? It's a two parter! I'm calling it!
Wwhaaaat , Nahhh really...?
He said it!
lpsmovingstyles1 exactly , in the video he says it's a two parter , yet you're apparently calling it?
I didn't hear....
+lpsmovingstyles1 so you know "he said it" but you didn't hear him
what if bismuth is the one who made Rose's scabbard and the armor of the fallen
One of the things I've noticed about Bismuth is that her design reminds me of a blacksmith so that's entirely possible.
+Emily Stone thats a good observation
That would be cool
i belive it
+Emily Stone maybe she is. if peri can metal bend then maybe she can be bizmuth's apprentice or partner
If that is the same Bismuth that attacked Lapis, I'm pretty sure it would be Lapis that attacked her on first-sight.
Is that how peridots control their fingers on the limb enhancers
Thats what i thought!
Exactly what I thought.
i thought that too
I though that too.
And I know lapis isn't exactly a crystal gem but still
+Bill Tonys I don't think Lapis will have a star just yet she's still being an emo jerk
+Taryn Universe nothing wrong with being emo
+Why Not? I know that
Lapis isn't a jerk, she's just treating Peridot the way she deserved after all that Peridot's done to her.
THEORY: Bismuth was a very powerful warrior and the first Peridots were created with metal powers during the war to keep Bismuth at bay.
I'm pretty sure it's confirmed Peridots were originally created AFTER the rebellion.
+Pan Pan it is
only era 2 peridots were confirmed after the war
Nah They made Era 2 Peridots she just didnt know she had powers because supposely " They had no powers because of their generation", and Yellow diamond didnt give flying f*cks so she kept making them for technical issues.
No, I'm sure Peridots were around before the war. Era 1 Peridots, that is.
it has been confirmed that it was metal powers on Peridot's official twitter
But it was confirmed to be metal bending
The subtitles and Peri's official twitter confirmed it as "Metal Powers"
To reply to the people who mention the Twitter, I think she thinks she can only use her powers on metal, since the iPad ignited the powers.
Ooh that sounds possible too
PERIDOT = MAGNETO
😂😂
You know what I just realized: Bismuth's Gem has four section: yellow, green, blue and pink. Yellow and Blue are both colors of two of the Diamonds. Pink is the Color of both Rose and Pink Diamond (or just Rose if she was Pink Diamond once).
Wow so many good comments no one ever finds. :(
#StopSwearing thx.
+Marc Magma...if this theory is correct....YOU ARE A GENIUS!😉
+Peridot The Cristal Gem I hope its right I just don't want to like bismuth for some reason I need a reason not to like her
omg open new posibilites
My only question is that, what is Bismuth's ability/weapon?
i think its a hammer lel
A hammer probably
+Swag Dawg I mean she looks like a blacksnith
I think it will be a war hammer
+Swag Dawg Sardonyx posesses the war hammer.
"lapis's blue diamond insignia"
"blue diamond insignia"
"blue diamond"
Lapis is blue diamond confirmed completely
If the hoops were plastic doesn't that mean Peridot is actually telekinetic and not just a metal bender?
the Hoops have metal in it
But they were metal
I said "if"
+Alexander Gil-jacobo it was rigged
+Alexander Gil-jacobo For weight
"that's a toxic mindset" That mindset wins wars.
It's not the s a m e b i s m u t h
> same gem placement
Ooh he gotchu
Why would it be a different bismuth
Lapis was attacked because they thought she was a crystal gem why would a crystal gem attack her own kind?
+Elizabeth Martinez No they said Bismuth poofed lapis and the Homeworld gems mistook Lapis for a Crystal Gem so they put her in the mirror
Why can't they just hollow out uninhabited planets?
What fun would that be? lol
They must be struggling to find planets with resources they need.
if there was a planet that was as good as earth, or better, and uninhabited, it has either already had the life sucked out of it by Homeworld, of it hasn't been discovered yet.
they might need life to produce seintence we don't know how gems are fully made yet
Lapidot Hell would obliterate bismuth.
If this is right, the episode would be so greatly amazing. I'd love to see this happen.
And it's not bismuth's fault that lapis was trapped a homeworld soldier trapped her in the mirror
+Christopher G But you have no proof.
+mastergoku4321 I know I was talking about people who think it was a homeworld gem.
+mastergoku4321 it wasn't her fault she got caught between the war she was just doing her job.
"It'd be kinda weird of shit didn't go down" 😂😂
anyone watching in 2017?? if You are type in Lapidot

PEOPLE! ITS THE SAME BISMUTH, IT IS, STOP SAYING ITS NOT
yeah I dont know why people think that it isnt the same.
It's because of the fact that the portrayal of Bismuth in the flashback has slightly different hair color patterns, and the hair appears longer.
+The Toontastic Toon That's honestly not enough evidence, its the same
k
AN ANON CONFIRMED THAT ITS NOT THE SAME BISMUTH AND WE WILL SEE THAT BISMUTH LATER IN THE SERIES I HAVE PROOF
I thought it was telekinesis.
I thought that too
They confirmed in Twitter it's metal powers
When it has to do with metal, it is called "ferrokinesis."
i did not know if he said metel or met her
+Laurence Williams why would they say met her "omg peri you have met her powers"
What if yellow diamond is lying about the powers of gems to ensure no future rebellion? Maybe that's why fusion is such a taboo thing? Fusions are strong as HECK.... And if all the newer gems think they're weak, that would squash any thoughts of going against the Diamond Authority, right?
I despise Lapidot so very much.
Welp it's canon so you gon have to deal with it
+Annie Paget u misspelled amedot
after too short to ride no shipping suprises me.
+Annie Paget Where's your proof? I really want to know since I also despise Lapidot.
+, I hate it too
I knew the medal bending memes were coming lol

Excellent explanation for the recently and the back information about the gems and the science that bound them to the reality
and i appreciate what you bring from facts and chemical reactions and it's relation with the gems it so fascinating
knowing that the gems could be consider as a minerals as the part of the unorganic form that involve in the construction of the earth and the rest of
astral material and the form that it take it as planets comets and even inside the organic creatures
which been formed inside the suns as the elements that constructing their body and their earth's and most of the solar system and the galaxies and the unknown amounts of the forms and material in the universe
including the particles and the energy forms and the cosmic fabric that constructing the universe we live in
so it seem that the show not only focusing in the bonds of the earth and the gems in it with the outsider unorganic life forms
its also does on in the facts of the gems and the resources that the gem could need to grow strong and have much of abilities that might be exist in any planet or land they want to use to create more gems
and what the real common bonds that keeps them at the most activity with the rest of the minerals and gems
so a gem is kinda a mineral then what could affects on a gem could also affects on a mineral or any thing else have minerals within and i think that includes the living creatures as well
then its coming to the level of a universe of a places to find and gems to be made or create with any kind of power and ability
but it's seem that the homeworld focusing more in the number of the armies they could have from any colony they had or will
and the developing of their expanded empire and the advanced weapons they could have
maybe to take down more planets or solar systems at ease or to prepare for a major threat that crackle their plans of grow a powerful civilization not have alike in the universe so earth had took it's time and now it's not much valuable right now then they (yellow diamond) intend to use it for a strategical purposes
then we come to the gems and their powers and how it deals with their original construction
then it does make sense that peridot can actually control anything that had metal but that could need for some time to master it and that could include every thing that has mineral in it
as she said about not having the standard gems abilities because the lacks of the resources
so they went to the technical powers as the mineral bending or maybe their is more than this ability for the new or 2nd era gems maybe like an atomic manipulating or beems as their physical form are actually made of light or a radical particles or maybe even teleport them selves as when they send the bubbles back to the temple without needing for a wrap or making a barrier who knows
i think that if peridot mastered her power she may be able to construct a robot in the air or collect the items to make it in one point then form it immediately
and even to control weapons from away and let it fight for her then she is not in the need to have even limb enhancers or her size wont be a problem with that fact if that what she could reach as to be maybe the first gem or peridot to use her hidden gem abilities or the unmagical powers that she could wield within her gem
there is a lot to be talking about for the minerals and its relation with the gems
and how they could use it for their sake
but i think that is enough for now sorry for the long many wordy talk but i can't help but to think a lot about this show and what's connected with the reality
i wish to all of you and for the show creators to have their dreams comes true
and to be a better persons and thanks
+Darion Blaize jfc i just watch the show just cuz
onikaya why yall writing 50 paragraph comments
lucy dragneel Im not sure if you are exagerating or you just dont know the differences between a paragraph and a line. Anyway, we enjoy writing a well explained thought in just one Paragraph.
6:39 OMG I WASN'T THE ONLY ONE THAT NOTICED XD
maybe bismuth manages to poof both peridot and lapis and that's where they get the star form
Hi TheRoundtable! I always enjoy listening to your steven universe theories.
i highly dislike your stupid bismuth rage theory.
Hey, no need to call anyone stupid! It IS supposed to be a theory video after all...
+Ms.Aweso-meme never said he was stupid. the theory itself is stupid.
I believe home world is so advanced, that gems stopped using their weapons and rely too much on technology
Mabey centipeedle wont stay or is not fully healed because she's not in this clip
+Christopher G I want centipeedle to stay everyone thinks her healing might be temporary but that doesn't make sense unless she was a homeworld gem and they bubbled her but we will find out next Wednesday
cennti is probaly in the barn
I hope so
+Jimmy Kennedy Me two.
+Gabbi Evans *too
That was a VERY comprehensive and believable summary. I will be excited to see what happens when this show airs! :)
does ANYONE remeber that there can be mulitple bismuths (i cant english)
and lapis said she was mistakend for a crystal gem?
I theorized that maybe the war Bismuth was different than the friendly one, but it got shut down quickly lol
SmashLime how did it get shutdown
IF that was this same bismuth that proofed lapis, she could have been trying to save Lapis. I'm not sure
+Wolfinatophat Gaming I used the clues that the War Bismuth ha longer hair, more masculine features, and is way more aggressive and malicious, but everyone just said she probably reformed and changed er ways
SmashLime i think we are the only sane people lol
(glad i found someone how thinks the same!)
Peridot is metal, peridot bends metal, if they fight and bismuth went against peridot she would destroy her.
Bismuth is metal*
You are braindead**
This would be Pyrrha vs Penny all over again. And just the same, the metal will die.
yeah, because Peridot is so used to fighting and using her power
+Quiddly Diddster
WHY DID YOU HAVE TO REMIND ME ABOUT THAT
were do i find peridot's twitter page please help I NEED TO FIND IT
Rebecca did say bismuth is more of a male build, just the voice actor is female, as hey puberty can be weird like that to some males in real life key word real life
She did not say that. Bismuth is a she.
+Liz Daw *sigh* -_-
+Liz Daw She is genderless, plus they said male build.
+Black Pants But gender is not physical.
I think the main reason that the episode is so long is that we're finally gonna get a good war flashback, told by Bismuth.
If Bismuth did have a break down and go after Lapis and Peridot w/o allowing for an explanation, thatd be really good example of PTSD.
Monster Reunion and the Bismuth episodes are the ones I'm waiting for!
HYPE, HYPE, HYPE!
1:17 *Excellent* catch! That adds yet another reason for why Periot was so pissed at Yellow Diamond.
Which gives me the idea that the ressource shortage was not the cause, but a *result* of homeworld's current expansionist militaristic society. Would go well with the enviromental message.
LAPIDOT HAHAHAHAHA I LAUGHED SO HARD WHEN SHE SAID THAT
Awesome theory! Won't be surprised if this is what we'll see happening in the series c:
I have a similar belief, but not quite the same.
Personally, I don't think that Bismuth is bad or crazy, she was just in the middle of a war, and attacked someone who she didn't realise was just a bystander.
Also, I don't think Bismuth is gonna snap at seeing Lapis, I think Lapis is gonna snap at Bismuth, and it won't end up being much of a fight, more of Lapis wiping the floor and not even giving Bismuth a chance to fight back.
I don't know, the idea of Bismuth not intentionally causing Lapis all of that pain and Lapis snapping at her for it is something that I could see the show doing.
the limb enhancers magnify the metal bending powers. i think she just learned how to use the powers natually
Dude you are seriously AWESOME all the things you say are so close to what will happen in Steven universe but I was never told that there will be a special event called bismuth but now that I'm you mention it, I am EXCITED
Bismuth will see the yellow diamond and blue diamond symbols and immediately get a Vietnam flashback.
If Peridot doesn't recognize Bismuth as a metal, my guess is she'll see her roommate being attacked and will reach out her hands to try and help somehow and actually does help.
the way Bismuth's cloths look it seems like she is a type of gem that makes other gems
"it'd be weird if shit didnt go down"
SHIT ALWAYS GOIN DOWN
THIS
IS
STEVEN
FUCKING
UNIVERSE
Love these theories you make.
If you look at Peridot's page at SU wikia, you can see that her metal powers is called ferrokinesis, if anyone wanted to know~
Great video by the way!
Now all 3 of them are on the same planet when the other gems are in space. This will be interesting
Well, Earth was used to make the Geoweapon, so.
She wants the strankz of Gem of all.
Also, she could just have resources out the butt, just doesn't care about doing anything different.
"If it isn't broke, why fix it?" sort of mentality.
Peridot probably moved those metal finger thingies with the metal bending but thought it was her technology
Yellow Diamond needs to change that mindset, Is rather have ten strong Quartzes than one hundred weak ones
'Why would they waste time sending Peridot and Jasper if they're at war?'
Because they were checking on the cluster, which is mentioned to be 'a giant geo-weapon bigger than Earth.' If the Cluster 'hatched' Homeworld could use it to end the war quickly -and messily.-
Good theory, I'm subscribing.
Hahaha I didn't get that small reference to Lapidot at first. That's great! XD
Ok, Its starting to make sense that Peridots Metallokinesis powers were shown in last nights episode then.
I'm liking how their doing this build-up.
She's small, She's Green, She can metal bend, SHE IS TOPH
1. Shame this was wrong it would have been cool (apart from the reason she was bubbled)
2. Bismuth isn't a man-made metal, it's the hopper-shaped crystals that it's known for (which is what Bismuth is based on) that almost never occur naturally and are formed in labs or domestically.
So.. Peridot can control Bismuth because she's a metal....
Honestly, have fun reviewing tonight's episode~
Honestly, now that the episodes out and all, looking back at this theory, this would have fit PERFECTLY. Biz is all up in homeworld about shattering, so having something like this, would have been perfect...
Also, peridot is like, my 3rd favorite character after "two short to ride" so...
I'm gonna go on a Steven universe binge watch
HOLY CRAP I DIDNT EVEN NOTICE THE CUTE ROOM MATES THING THEY PUT IN OMG LAPIDOT LIVES
Bismuth was poofed because she wanted to shatter homeworld gems but rose wouldn't allow it so rose and bismuth fought and rose bubbled her and hid her from everybody
DUDE LAPIS IS PROBABLY GONNA BE THE MOST PISSED PERSON ON FREAKING EARTH
i think the recourses dwindling on homeworld is because of forced fusion. As we know, Homeworld conducted expirements to try to make bigger and stronger gems, which means that if that one fails, they need to make those gems again and try again. And that they tried to make as much era 1 gems as possible before they had to resort to era 2, hence peridots inability to shapeshift
The limited resources are the reason why rubies are dumb, because in garnet's story the other 2 rubies weren't really dumb they were just goofing off.
This bismuth we saw in the same old world was a different bismuth than the one we saw leaked. There gems are shaped differently
Quick theory: A Bismuth's job on Homeworld may be to craft weapons such as a gems weapons, laser light cannons, ships, etc...
I think that bismuth was bubbled because rose believed that she was too reckless in battle, and would hurt herself and others too much.
I never thought of this before but now I WANT IT SO BAD.
If all Peridots probably have the metal-kinesis ability, it could even be how the fingers on their limb extenders work. Maybe Homeworld doesn't tell them it's an inherent power, to keep them reliant and subservient.
one hour until lars!!! love your theories videos!!
I think that both could be both in terms of resources. Yellow Diamond doesn't care and just wants to keep doing what she is doing because there is a bigger situation in the background.
Now is the perfect time for the crystal gems to strike. Their resources are dwindling
