Thanks again Dave! I subscribed and have been watching your videos. Your positive attitude is refreshing after watching many other reviewers who love to complain about 4 cylinder engines. If someone wants to buy a high performance car for drag racing, there are plenty to choose from, the family sedans are for something else. We recently purchased a 2016 Camry LE for our daughter and it is a wonderful car. The 2.5L zips right up on the highway, purrs quietly and has plenty left for passing. Keep up the good work, I'll be watching more.
I'm driving honda accord 2003 and it's still pretty smooth. I can only imagine how smooth 2014 HA would be.

Mine is a base '14 6 speed manual! 125,000 miles. One set of tires, front brakes, a sun visor and scheduled maintenance. Perhaps twice I got under 30 mpg, and that was sub zero (- 18 C.) winter. Over 40 mpg when speed limits are 55.

@Ivan Vojt - During the Cargo Room section of the review (5:23 into the video) you can see that it's one seat. But for those that didn't watch, yes, the back seat doesn't split - Dave
needed old info and this was presented very well .
Also just got the EXL v6 and love it, kicks it at over 280 HP but can back off too with the Eco button for mileage improvement. Its so much bang for the buck!
Dave you love this car. You have reviewed it 3 times in the last 6 months. I can understand why. It's a good car. I almost bought one myself but I couldn't move the seat far enough back. I'm 6'4 and I need another inch or two. My knee was at the wrong angle and would cramp up on a long road trip.
I love the middle tech package. The audio settings are convenient. I feel like I am driving a luxury car. I picked this over the toyota Camry and Vw passat diesel. Nissan Altima was too expensive.

Im 6 foot 8 will this fit me (drivers seat)? i have a car with 51 inches of legroom ( front) and it still seems like i need more room but i dont know any car that offers more

I've been thinking about this 2014 accord. Been seeing one for sale with low miles. But, I've heard the 2.4 literally 4 cylinder engine has issues with gasoline dilution in the oil and oil burning issues. Is this a common problem?
I got a 98 lx 5 speed manual. Still going strong. Gonna be upgrading to this soon and give the old one to my nephew. Great review dave.

Hello everyone, My brother likes the new accord coupe but would also like to know what he would achieve city/hwy mpg.'s (real world average driving). I live in the Greater New England Area, Can anyone Help me and my little brother?? Also, I am slightly curious about the mpg.'s in the Accord Hybrid?
Why can't they offer the v6 in the lx trim? Are they afraid the fuel economy would be to close to the 4 cylinder?

Love this car. I have the same model however I don't think the navigation is worth the extra 2k. After 2months with the car I find the center stack to be great - I guess it all comes down to preference. The touch controls control the audio and phone and beneath it is the AC, push the button and done. I think if they consolidated it, it would be too cluttered similar to the 2012 models and before.
I just bought the this car, and I'm really happy with it,,, I think spend more gas then what they say. but besides that, it is amazing car.

The only major downside I had with car is that whenever I have both of my backseat windows down while driving at 35+ mph the glass starts to vibrate and in turn it causes loud ringing sounds

Ha.. well I should probably let my wife tell you ;) I have not had much time with it yet, but I'm impressed. Car feels very solid, smooth and composed. The build of the car seems very good too. The steering feels nice and precise but very different than what I'm used to. This is my first Honda in about 15 years. I drive a Subaru STi so the Accord is a little different. I still think this has to be one of the best family sedans period. The Sonata and Fusion were out as soon as we tried the Honda.
I really need help, i live in Edmonton Alberta and planning to get a car, which one should i get this honda accord or compact suv like toyota rav4.. I love mid size sedan but i'm worried about the snow. We have a terrible snow should i get this or small suv.

I have had one of these for a little over a week as a service loaner and I find it to be incredibly uncomfortable and bland. The steering and suspension are quite responsive and the motor is torquey but the cvt is unpredictable and makes for a guessing game while accelerating to pass. B+ at best.
Damn, i'm stuck with my 2012 Civic EX...the Accord looks so fine.
I personally find this the best booking center stack on any car...excluding the luxury class

I have 10500 miles on my 2013 accord, Great car way better than the model it replaced, it will do 37.1 mpg hwy on a hot day using premium shell.Not one problem so far, just solid car.

Dave- Can you request a Mercedes CLA to test drive? I'm really interested to see what an "everyman driver" thinks of the new, smaller Mercedes. Great job with the '14 Accord.
the lx models get better fabrics and the auto dimming mirror is upgraded on the higher models. the dual exhausts on v6 models get an upgraded look as well. aside from that, no real changes.

I bought this car today. Accord Ex L but no navigation.
I am looking at the same car since I do not need the navigation. Your thoughts please so far? (I had a 1986 Accord LX and it still is the BEST car that I have ever owned and I had it for 10 years. My current car is a 1998 Camry and it has been a fine car for 16+ years but not as great as the Accord.)

eric golden I hope you are as happy with this car, Eric, as my neighbor two doors down is with hers. Dave from Everyman Driver loves the car overall but HATES the middle instrument panel with the two screens and two sections. He says that there is too much confusing info to deal with and that he wishes that this would reduced to just three sections. Do you agree or disagree with him? And since I live in New Mexico, Honda is only offering that .09% financing for the Accord LXs and not the EX-Ls which is too bad.

Since I will be a solo driver in my new car, I wonder if the Accord will be an overkill for me? But I wonder if the Accord will be more comfortable on the long road trips that I sometimes take. Anyhow, your comments are welcome.

You should mention the back seat doesn't have a split fold. I'd pass on the NAV. Even the cloth is nice as well.
Re the Honda Accord 2013: It says in my manual on page 298: "Files on USB flash drive are played in their stored order. This order may be different from the order displayed on your PC or device." On Page 285, the "Music Search List" should be called "Music Browse List". Honda has no plans to update the software so USB music can be searched. The system is almost useless (my files only show album title in browse list) and dangerous.
I bought mine 2 months ago. The wind noise coming trough both doors (over 50 m/h) is so annoying. I went back to the dealership and they let me drive couple of accord 2014 sport, and all have the noise. You may need to give it thought before you purchase.
I think that most (if not all) of the cars in this class from ALL brands have this noise issue but I do not find it as "annoying" as you. I have a 1998 Camry and have more interior noise at highway speeds than at lower speeds. My brother bought an Accord and I will ask him for his opinion on this issue that you are addressing and then get back to you.
Doug Celeste Thank you for your reply Doug. I've had many cars before this, and you know what Honda dealership told me when I asked them about this issue? they said: "We have had many many complains from customers about this wind-noise issue for this very model, and Honda has not come up with a fix yet, maybe they will". And they were hoping that Honda will fix this issue which happened since 2013 model. I actually am not that picky about noises, but this one is really something to put under consideration.
Ali Pordeli The wind and engine noises sound very minimal in the 2013-2015 Accord models compared to 2009 accord model. I don't find it annoying at all. What I do find annoying is that the new speaker's sound quality sucks. They aren't as powerful as the 2008-2012 models.

Damn. I'm going to cut off the leg room in the back. I'm basically 6'2" (6'1.75") and I'll have to move that driver seat back just to be comfortable.
I have a 2013 EX-L and it appears there is no difference.
