DISGUSTING! My child was being bullied by a teacher, and when I reached out to the school, everyone, including the principal, made excuses and thought my child should ignore the teacher. After nothing was being done, I took it to the district office, board of Ed, and filed a police report. This is when the assistant teacher decided to stand up for my daughter and spoke up. Now action was being taken. Sometimes, we have to become vicious beasts as parents just to protect our kids.

I was bullied. I did everything right: I told the teachers and the principal, but nothing changed. I was taught to use self-defense as a last resort, and it ended when I broke my bully's nose. When the principal made me call my parents and tell them what happened, my dad answered the phone and said, "Did you start the fight or was it self-defense?" I said, "No, I didn't start it, and it was self-defense." He said, "Okay, you won't be punished when you get home." The principal wasn't too happy when she heard that on speakerphone. The principal wanted a meeting with my parents about what happened, and my mom put the principal in her place regarding me being bullied. My mom snapped at the principal and said, "He did everything right! He told the teachers and you what was going on, and nothing changed! The other students knew he was being bullied, and they even told the teacher, and nothing changed!" Finally, she said, "If I hear once more that he's being bullied by this person, I am taking it to the school board and pressing charges for you not doing anything." And my mom and dad just walked out of the principal's office after she said all that. It stopped permanently. You don't want to go to war with my mom when it comes to bullying. I feel so bad for this girl.

It's not the school that makes anyone suffer, it's other kids and they also didn't do it in school, they did it on social media. The school may not handle that situation well but the school is also not responsible for what children do in their free time or on social media. As long as the children have not broken an rules while being at school, it's actually not the school's business. If you cannot take actions against those other kids or their parents, that's a legal loophole and the state has failed on you; it has failed to protect you and your family by not making laws required to provide that level of protection.

And the losing your belief in a God makes sense, you're not alone in that, mine also died when I lost someone I loved who took his own life. I find healing in trying to help other adolescents at risk of s*icide. Some people want to do something totally different, even just painting or something. If it's just one guy, maybe. If it's a group, then I wouldn't recommend resorting to violence. Better to find other ways to deal with it that doesn't get you into trouble as well. It's not always easy or even possible, though. But I must say, I was always ready to fight back my bullies too. It just never got that far and for whatever reason, they just gave up. Like they could read my mind and not push me any further. Because I was more than ready to fight and it wouldn't have been a pretty sight. They must have sensed it somehow. But it wasn't that serious to begin with and I just dealt with it. Very light compared to what I witnessed with others. Not the same bullies, though.
