Would of loved to be a fly on the wall listening to Poles & Waldron plus whoever else they had to evaluate JF & those College QBs now in better focus. In KC there was a scout Brett Veach who followed Patrick Mahomes for 3 years in Andy Reid's ear saying " We got to draft this guy " ! The Chiefs traded up to get him in that draft & now Veach is KC's GM ! Recognizing QB talent is a gift. I think Merril explained it pretty well as a former talent evaluator.
The Bears better have a beefed up O Line because what Fields played behind last year was crap !

@@he-mansuncle7661 There were many off season College QB evaluators last year. Merril has has thoughts just like any other. Doesn't make CW any worse or better. With the Bears on Hard Knocks for training camp it should be really interesting.

You must not have paid enough attention to Poles and Eberflus during the combine. They don’t say the things they said if we weren’t drafting a QB. The messaging was subtle… but obvious.
Paul's also said when asked the question what are you looking for in a quarterback first and foremost his answer leadership Something all Bears fans know Justin has tons of hence the reason the whole team wants him back
