Bro if you go back and look, the majority of Merrill Hoges takes are crazy accurate. How this dude doesnt have his own podcast or hasnt been picked up by another network is insane, hell of an analyst

Agree. Legendary Steelers HC Chuck Noll liked Merril Hoge because he had an honest work ethic who put in the time on & off the field to help the team any way possible. So now Hoge brings that same work ethic into evaluating players. It’s not about harming draft stock. He realizes these young men have a lot riding on evaluations & that talking heads who jump on bandwagons are actually pushing players up in draft stock at the expense of other players. Imagine the Browns not drafting Johnny Manziel or the Texans taking Khalil Mack instead of Clowney. Hoge is excellent at evaluating tangibles & also intangibles. He somehow assesses heart, toughness & how far the player is willing to go in the pursuit of excellence. Wondering if any NFL teams pay Hoge for evaluations because it would be money well spent.

It's crazy how correct he is. He didn't pick CJ just because he isn't small like Bryce but because he is special in his abilities.
Practically everyone outside of a small few have picked Bryce to be the best qb and out of those few only even a smaller few could see the actual talent and not put him above Bryce just because they thought Young was just too small.
But this dude saw it and actually called it out way back then.

Regardless of what happens between the Texans and Baltimore, C.J had one on the greatest rookie seasons ever and has a amazing career ahead of him! 💯

I agree with Merril Hodge. CJ Stroud’s game will translate better to the NFL than all the other QB’s because of his accuracy and descion making. I don’t think Bryce will last at his size.

Panthers are gonna make the mistake of drafting Bryce at 1 because they listened to the media hyoe. CJ will go on to compete against Burrow and Mahomes and be a completion percentage leader year in and year out.
