Fabric glue is great for hemming denim and thicker fabrics. It also helps to repair belt loops, loose pockets etc. My kids pants, my jeans, corduroys have all lasted after washing. Great for crafts and embellishments. I have hand disability making it very hard to sew. Great and economical. If you are worried it will show thru your fabrics test it in a small area first. Many projects can be done thos way including curtains.
Once the glue is on there, it's on there permanently, only unless you could scrape it off carefully with a razor blade, pin, or the like. Perhaps you could add an embellishment or another piece of fabric on top to cover it up?
@BADBRYZ It is formulated for multiple washings, which is why we love it! Not sure what that "Adam Ant" vest is, though.

I'm sorry -- fabric glue (flexible or not) is for children who cannot yet sew. Fabric glue NEVER holds (or moves) as well as what can be accomplished with a simple needle and thread. If it did, do you think every sweat-shop worldwide would take the trouble to sew clothes? Fabric glue also hardens, stains and can scratch the wearer. Fabric glue is best suited for covering photo albums, scrapbooking, etc. But for garments that have to absorb body heat and moisture and need washing -- no.
