Almost any time he played for club and country, he was always involved in whatever was good.. and this was an unfancied side that won the TREBLE. He wasn't a one man team, FAR from it. This is an amazing video! Obviously everyone has their own opinion and disagreements. I personally agree with everything, except for the year 2010. I think that Iniesta deserved the Balon D'or over Messi and Sneider. Not only did he score the game winning goal in the world cup, but he played a crucial role for both club and country. Sneider played just as much of a crucial role for club and country as well. But if we put statistics and trophies aside and focus on the eye test, Iniesta was absolutely world class. After he won the world cup, it was clear that there was no better midfielder on the planet. The simplicity and the elegance in his style of play set him far apart from the rest. I think that Iniesta deserved the Balon D'or over Messi and Sneider. Not only did he score the game winning goal in the world cup, but he played a crucial role for both club and country. Sneider played just as much of a crucial role for club and country as well. But if we put statistics and trophies aside and focus on the eye test, Iniesta was absolutely world class. After he won the world cup, it was clear that there was no better midfielder on the planet. The simplicity and the elegance in his style of play set him far apart from the rest. If you watched him play throughout that entire year, you would agree that he cemented his status as world class midfielder and was undeniably a pure maestro of the game.
