CR flopped 4/6 UCL finals he's played in, and has a similar ratio in the semi-finals. A profile like CR is extremely dependent on playing for elite teams where he only has to focus on one thing (finishing), and even then, he's only going to turn up about 33% of the time
So in other words, CR is actually not "the perfect profile". He's a very limited footballer who depends heavily on the quality of his team to be able to perform individually.
And for me Messi's insane standards never dropped once from 2009-2019. He was always the best dribbler, playmaker, & goalscorer all at once. Cr7 was a skilled/pacy winger for a while before abandoning real football in 2014 & resorting to poaching in the box.

Of the 6 finals ronaldo played, he was injured for 2014 and 2016 and was the most dangerous united player in 2009. People forget that because united lost the final. And CR has to depend on elite teams? WHAT?! the guy dragged the most BASIC of Portugal sides to a penalty shootout out loss to the great Spanish team in 2012. He impressed consistently in madrid during times where, yes they were all amazing players, but as a team in terms of cohesion and chemistry lacked massively since the attackers kept coming and going due to the galacticos policy. Neither of them actually NEED an elite side but if there was one I'd say who does, it's messi. And I'm not just saying it because you did but I think you're HEAVILY overrating Messi. @@tjhuss6425yeah you’re speaking facts. I really don’t know what this other guy is smoking on. He has done it in multiple teams, and as a juve fan. We were kinda crumbling before Ronaldo came. Even though we were consistently in the champions league, our system of signing and selling players had a lot of flaws. And even though most of our players weren’t performing good (until Chiesa came he was the only one with knockout stage goals.) he was still performing great. And he got multiple records there.
🤦🏽♂️ Messi scored 91 goals in a calendar year. He scored 73 goals for Barcelona in 11/12... and what IM counting is he scored 82 goals for club AND Country in the 11/12 season. Stop being emotional and actually assess the stats
