I LOVE your videos. I’m moving toward planting more containers. I would like to place a few containers in my mostly perennial gardens. I’m not sure quite how to do that. Just plop one into a space or give it more thought. Maybe a video about putting pots into established gardens would be helpful to me and maybe others also. Have a good day.
Those plants you chose are stunning! Just lovely containers 💛🤍💚💙. The new sweet potato vine was nothing like I have ever seen before. Thank you so much for sharing!
By far my new favorite channel! I love hearing you explain your creative thinking and decision of how you chose your plants. It really inspires me in thinking a little differently. Can’t wait to see a follow up on all these containers. They look beautiful and so interesting. What zone are you in? Not sure if you have told us.
Love seeing your user name pop up in my comments all the time. 😊 I’m gardening in Seattle. I treat it like a zone 7, but some crazy just relisted us as zone 9, which is INSANE. No zone 9 plant would survive our winters. So yeah… zone 7, but on the verge of zone 8.
I feel like I should add a little “The more you know” 🌟 when I drop a design hint. Ha! But in all seriousness, I’m playing with new combinations and get inspired from other gardeners ALL the time. In fact, I’m planting a new combination TODAY based on something I saw yesterday.
I love how you do the color echoing! It definitely is more pleasing to the eyes. Than my several containers all of stuff I love but each pot has a different theme. And I really can tell it’s kinda all over the place, it’s beautiful but not that put together feeling. Definitely trying to keep color echos around all my pots this year. Lol 😂 i love your cute personality! When you said, “it’s happening” during the moment, just love those quirky little things ya say, so cute! 🥰
That is all my partner. He always says he wants to capture my nerdy sayings in the garden and I’ve always been a bit sheepish about what a geek I am… but that’s just me! And it was totally happening!!!!
Love these containers! I was trying to decide whether to try my white cosmos in a pot this year and you have given me inspiration. Thanks for explaining the difference between the angel trumpet and the devils vine, now I have to have one! That yellow color is gorgeous!
I’m obsessed with brugmansia and datura… they are so gorgeous! And let me know how your cosmos do. I’m so happy excited to see how they behave. It’s definitely a new move for me.
Oh I love the blue pot. I tend to buy white, terra cotta or black, but I am going to go blue next. So so pretty! Especially with the Coca Cola sedum (?) WOW
Blue is such a flexible, classic color. I can literally put any color flower with it and it works! That would actually look super good with the colors you already have. 🌱
Hi, you create lovely containers! Like you I love planting trios. Datura is so beautiful, as is Brugmansia. You have it on a dining patio, so you’ll want to keep it very separate from any edibles. Every part of it is quite toxic to people and pets. There are only a few ‘toxic’ plants I don’t grow on my property but these can cause such severe reactions that I steer clear.
Great point! I never shy away from poisonous plants (foxglove, delphinium, euphorbia… the list is EXHAUSTIVE) because I know how to handle them and my kids have grown up with extensive plant knowledge. I also don’t anticipate any of my dining guests to dive into my planters so I plant what my heart loves. 💕
I just this week planted an area of my garden with creams and yellows. I found a Golden Lights azalea. I had not been aware that azaleas could be fragrant.. This one has a light fragrance similar to honeysuckle. I added it to an area with yellow iris and cream hydrangeas. Surprisingly I like it. The rest of my garden is pink, white, red and shades of purple. I guess I just learned to experiment with new things.
A++++++++ azalea selection!!! It’s GORG. And I love so many colors that you are doing exactly what I would do. Developing a color palette for various areas of the garden so you can experiment. Good job!
Love the soft blend of colors in this container combo. What size are the containers? Thanks for the tip on using different container colors in the recipe. Hello from NJ🪴

This is a FABULOUS idea! I feel like I need to gather some photos and pull together a proper video for it. Stay tuned!

@@HelloGarden I’m in zone 7b, used to be 7a. New Jersey along the coast. Otherwise also called The Garden State. Love your videos.
I get your excitement! I love the colors and textures of all these plants together!
Yes! Its so fun to bring in a new season with a totally different plant palette
Good morning! What beautiful container combinations. As I have gotten older I mostly plant containers. Thank you for sharing your talent.
I find this is the case for so many people. It’s so much joy and a lot easier on the body. It’s also great for when people start downsizing. 💕
Love how you describe your technique! So interesting- making me think of my past boring designs! Thank you!

I love that variety of euphorbia! Euphorbia’s are one of my favorites. I have one in my front garden.
I love a euphorbia! This one is so twinkly!
Thank you .💐💚🙃
That variegated potato vine !!! 🤩 You always find the coolest stuff 😉 Heading to a Master Gardeners sale tomorrow 😜
Oh man… I’m SO excited about that vine. I might try to pull together a little “new favorites this year” video… might be fun!!!

You’re so brave. I hate pulling out/tossing blooming flowers, even cheapo pansies.
I’m desensitized from doing this for a living. 🫣
Love the plant choices.
Thank you so much! 🌱
Beautiful finds
I was tickled with what I found.

Love the soft blend of colors in this container combo. What size are the containers? Thanks for the tip on using different container colors in the recipe. Hello from NJ🪴
Well hello, NJ! You are so welcome. I should really do a Q&A… the big one is about 25”… mid sizes are 19” and 21”… the baby mint pot is only about 8”
@@HelloGarden Thank you so much for responding! Love the videos and your passion for gardening. Ava
I don't care for the dusty miller at all. It is very odd in the container that you're pulling apart.
That’s ok! I love that people have differing opinions. You get to do you and I get to do me!
