Love how you take the time to explain your decision and why you are placing the plants in the spot. On a side note I really like feverfew but it is very prolific in my area. I only had one in a pot and now I have at least 25 clumps all over my home. I’m a zone 9 coastal area in central California

I have carpenter bees ruining the beam at the top of my garage. Of course the bees have chosen to burrow in the wood of my garage instead of the dead tree in my yard.

The Russian Sage behind the Kniphofia is one of my favorites.

What an enjoyable garden tour. Her garden is really coming together beautifully, and I love how they created a garden that fits the environment instead of forcing it to be something that isn’t natural for the climate and the location. And I’m still jealous of the massive orange trees, lol.

Ok, you are helping me to be brave to "just start" my front yard. My backyard is covered in gravel (because of doggy destruction from digging in grass chasing all the gophers) and I have multiple and various styles of raised beds and containers. But that's the backyard and I'm super comfortable and in love with it and I have designed in 10 separate spaces or outdoor rooms. The front yard is a clean slate though, with only a large Zelkova. Everything is covered in fabric and wood mulch and weeds/grass have started to come through because I'm frozen with how/where to start. And I know I just need to start. I've even grown various perennials for this project, most from seed, and they've been in pots for over a year or two and are more than ready to be planted (i.e. rudbeckia, salvia, gaura, lavender, rosemary, laurel bay, manzanita, nepeta, Mexican heather and petunia, feverfew, yarrow, stock, statice, dahlia, lupine, hydrangea, geranium, columbine, and even a few eucalyptus, and an adorable lemon cypress, ohhh, also a few Tater Tots and Franky Boys...to name a few, LOL). Arrrrrgh! And I want to start more seeds for future plantings and I need the room. I love my problems. I'm going to watch several more of your videos this weekend and see what I come up with. Thank you!!!!!

Hi Kate, if it’s in your budget definitely have something special custom made. For me it would be art and function. I’m excited about your new additions! I started some feverfew by seed this year, but I hadn’t realized there is a chartreuse variety, love that look. I’m interested to discover your choice of ground cover. It all looks so fabulous. I love the look of lambs ear next to the lady's mantle; it's very sweet together. Your trellis on the other hand is driving my eye into the neighbors yard, which has nothing to special to focus on. IMO A metal panel or a big pot with Japanese Maple placed between the yards at the raised bed opening would be a great eye catching moment. Anyway love your channel.

Hi , I'm new to your channel. Love your video, Have you thought of putting the trellis on the end of of your raised beds in the ground to bring down in scale? Adding pots on ethier side? Just a thought.

Hopefully you will be able to have a few meals outside with the good weather we are due for the next week or so. That area is so pretty.

I personally feel like the arches are out of proportion for the space; they are far too tall...I'm excited to see what route you guys choose :)
