Ive been keeping an eye on Boxabl for about a year now. Im excited to see how things advance, in hopes of purchasing one or two for an ADU for my mother.
WELL DONE! It’s so nice to hear someone who actually converts garages to ADUs or builds them for a living who understands logistics, asks really great questions that have to do with practical living in the smaller casita version. I am in love with the 2-story one. 3 bedrooms, or depending on needs at the time, make it 2 master bedroom suites or a master suite, guest bedroom and office, it’s all GAME CHANGING!!! This may have become my favorite unit tour interviews! Thanks!
WELL THANK YOU VERY MUCH. im happy you enjoyed, I ended up asking them a ton of questions and wanted to make sure it wasn’t the same thing others asked. Definitely the 2 story three bedroom is a crazy design. It allows for so much but the truth is I don’t think it will every be sold commercially. They said that they will start selling it to consumers around Q4 of next year but they still don’t have the right design to install them In California. It will take a long time with this company.
@@JosephPeretz I don’t know, that may be slightly underestimating them because they will reconfigure several casitas to get the template that WILL be approved outside of historical districts. Every CA politician that needs re-election #1 platform will be about housing the homeless. In addition to that, LA will be hosting World Cup 2026 and Olympics 2028. The city officials will make sure the city is cleaned up for the cameras and the world stage, therefore offering as much quality looking shelter as quickly as possible. Just recently an AZ developer was sent over 100 Boxabl units that were 2-story duplex-apt style in only a few short months. It takes that long for ONE traditional stick build ADU or duplex apartment building, so we will see…:)
Great video! Do you see companies like this as competition compared to the traditional garage conversion ADU? The price sounds great at $50k, but I don't see how this would add value to the property of the home in the long run compared to the traditional ADU.
If there would be a way to make the house hurricane……. Not proof but able to live through a hurricane this will sell like crazy in Florida because of the style.

It's hard to tell. Boxabl can't build in CA. They need to push the local government to allow them to build and only then we can compare

Not what the title says. This is touring Boxable units that have been put together. Units that consumers can't even purchase right now.
