Nice to see you back on the river. Listening to you talk about living on the boat and being there 24,7 having to find things to do , you have it on your doorstep and you knock the novelty out of it. I live in North Devon, sea is 3 mins away and I never go on the beach never go in the sea. I see it every day and why would I go to the beach. However, take it away and my god I would miss it. Anyway best of luck to you both, keep losing the pounds , I know how hard that is. We are down again end of April, hiring from completely different boat yard from the years we have been with Richardson's, last time the boat was filthy and I'm not there to clean a boat before I use it. Lcome back Robin and Sheila ,oh how you have been missed. As a Broads fan having holidayed there for over 50 yeads anything you do is great for my wife and I.We will be there in 3 weeks time for our annual boating holiday mooring in out of the way places and enjoying the veiw and fishing. We also come down in March for the last of the fishing season and enjoy the piece and quiet staying in a riverside cottage this year with a dayboat at Wroxham and are looking forward to loooking at the broads before spring appears. Looking forward to seeing moor of you a the future.

We hired the same class of boat as 'White Champagne' on the Thames in 2019 and it was a great boat but the bow head was almost impossible to use apart for a man having a leak or a quick swill of the face, lol. What a lovely surprise to see a new blog. I often see you when I'm on the broads, in either Trixy or Broad Ambition and it is because of your earlier blogs that I ever found the broads. I've been back many times. I've now sold my sailing yacht on the west coast of Scotland and hope to be back on the broads next summer. My wife's expression will be similar to that of Sheila 's throughout...!
Not sure what it is with women, she is the same when we are out in the car with the top down, though ti be fair I can’t see the appeal of running 10k for the fun of it lol.
There has been some content if you see a year ago Autumn Cruising for example. But, as per the video the ‘shine’ has filled somewhat with boating and yet having made this random video, I have to admit I’m liking the idea to get back and do something a bit better and more interesting.
Well I could have taken Broad Ambition out (40ft) but we decided on Trixie as she had not been used much this year at all. Shiela is just not as keen on boating as was once, and to be fair I feel like some of the shine has gone too. As I write this reply we are by the coast in Dorset having walked along the Beach early this morning before many were about and are staying in a cute B&B. It’s been Lovely.

I myself am currently taking a break and a small sabbatical from TH-cam and social media as real life just got so hectic it became impossible to juggle between the two. Hope to see you around though and maybe catch up for a drink at some point in the year 😀
I know how things can feel like an endless slide of posts and pressure for content from people. It’s why I have been able to enjoy going boating and doing as little or as much as I wish, but not thinking ‘I’ve got to make sure I have filmed something good today’. Look after yourself and we will meet for a catch up sometime.

I have seen You Tube and Social Media burn people out in the past as they try to produce more content and please their supporters and followers. It never seems enough to satisfy them and also you have to face the negative brigade too. I feel like I’m free to do as I wish when I wish - no pressure. You might get a video once in a year or a bunch, and if that makes people pleased then great and if not - I’m not worried. I think Russell just needs a break and will be back stronger and happier in time.

Very true, especially on Trixie as small and moves about a lot so she prefers Broad Ambition. Still this weekend making up for it off to the Coast.
