පොත්ගුල් වෙහෙර
පොත්ගුල් විහාරය ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ පැරණි පොළොන්නරුව නගරයේ සිට පරාක්‍රම සමුද්‍රයේ වැව් බැම්ම ඔස්සේ දකුණු දෙසට වන්නට, පරාක්‍රමබාහු ප්‍රථිමාවට ආසන්නයේ ඉදිකොට තිබේ. මෙම සංකීර්ණය පරාක්‍රමබාහු රජු (1153-1186) විසින් ඉදිකරන ලද්දක් බැව් විශ්වාස කෙරේ. මෙම ආරාම සංකීර්ණය භූමි මට්ටම් හතරක (මාලක) ඉදිකොට තිබේ. ඉන් තුන්වන මට්ටම තුල ගොඩනැගිලි 9ක් දැකගත හැකි වන අතර ඒවා භික්ෂුකුටි ලෙස භාවිතයට ගන්නට ඇතැයි සැළකේ. ආරාම සංකීර්ණයට ඇතුළු වීම පිණිස ප්‍රවිශ්ඨ ත්‍රිත්වයක් වන අතර ඉන් ප්‍රධාන ප්‍රවිශ්ඨ ද්වාරය නැගෙනහිර දිශාවෙන් පිහිටා ඇත. සිවුවන භූමි මට්ටමේ ගෝලාකාර වහලක් තිබූ වෘත්තාකාර ගොඩනැගිල්ලක නටඹුන් වන අතර එය පරාක්‍රමබාහු රජු විසින් තනනු ලැබූවකි. වර්ථමානයේ එහි වහළය දැකගත නොහැකි වන අතර ඇතුලත බිත්තිහී විනාශයට ලක්වූ පැරණි සිතුවම් කොටස් දැකගත හැකි වේ. මීට අමතරව උඩම පිහිටි භූමියේ සිව් දිශාවෙන් ඉදිකරන ලද දාගැබ් හතරක් දැකගත හැකිය. ආරාම සංකීර්ණයෙහි වූ ලක්ෂණ අනූව මෙය පැරණි බෞද්ධ පුස්තකාලයක් ලෙස භාවිතයට ගන්නට ඇතැයි විශ්වාස කෙරේ.

පොත්ගුල් විහාර ප්‍රතිමාව
පොත්ගුල් විහාරය නමින් හඳුනාගන්නා ලද විහාරාරාම සංකීර්ණයට උතුරින් මෙම ප්‍රතිමාව පිහිටා තිබෙනවා. උසින් අඩි එකොළහ යි අඟල් හයක්‌ පමණ‌ වන ප්‍රතිමාව ශ්‍රේෂ්ඨ පුද්ගලයෙකු මෙයින් නිරූපණය වන බව, පිළිරුව දුටු පමණින් ම වැටහෙනවා. ප්‍රතිමාවේ හිස මුදුනේ ශීර්ෂාවරණයක්‌ සහිත යි. එය ඉහළට බැඳි කේශ කලාපයක්‌ ලෙස ද පේනවා. හිසකෙස්‌ බොකුටු යි. හිසෙහි ඇති ජටාමකුටය කේතූරූපාකාර වන අතර, මුහුණ උඩු රැවුලකින් හා දිගු යටි රැවුලකින් ද යුක්‌ත යි. තොල් පළල් ය. ශරීරය මඳක්‌ සථුල බව පේනවා. ළැම ප්‍රදේශය හා උදරය පිටට නෙරාගිය ස්‌වභාවය ද ඉස්‌මතු කර තිබෙනවා. දෑත් වැලමිටෙන් නවා ඉදිරියට යොමු වී ඇති අතර, දෑත් මත ඇත්තේ හඳුනා නොගත් යම් වස්‌තුවක්. වියගසක්‌ ලෙසත්, පුස්‌කොළ පොතක්‌ ලෙසත් ඇතැම් විචාරකයන් විසින් හැඳින්වෙන්නේ මේ වස්‌තුව යි. ජනප්‍රිය මතය වන්නේ පුස්කොළ පොතක් වැන්නක් දෑතින් ගත් ප්‍රතිමාව පරාක්‍රමබාහු රජුගේ බව යි.

Potgul Vehera
Potgul Viharaya was built near the statue of Parakramabahu, to the south of the tank bund, south of the ancient city of Polonnaruwa in Sri Lanka. The complex is believed to have been built by King Parakramabahu (1153-1186). The monastery complex is built on four levels. There are 9 buildings on the third level which are believed to have been used as monasteries. There is a trinity of entrances to the monastery complex, with the main entrance to the east. The fourth ground level is the ruins of a circular building with a spherical roof, built by King Parakramabahu. Today its roof is invisible and inside the walls are with ruined old paintings. In addition, four dagobas can be seen on four sides in the upper ground. Due to the features of the monastery complex, it is believed to have been used as an ancient Buddhist library.

Potgul Vihara statue
This statue is located to the north of the temple complex known as the Potgul Viharaya. The statue, which is eleven feet six inches high, depicts a great man, as one can see from the statue. The head of the statue has a helmet. Hair is Curly. The jatamakuta on the head is conical and the face is covered with a mustache and a long lower beard. The lips are wide. The body appears to be slightly obese. The nature of the chest and the protrusion of the abdomen have also been highlighted. The hands are bent forward at the elbows, and there is an unidentified object on the hands. This object is known by some critics as a yoke and a leafy book. The popular belief is that the statue is the King Parakramabahu
