U should see mine, looks like it came out of ww2 haha. Few tips:
1. U should have bought one with bolts instead of tool-free system, it clogs from sawdust.
2. If you got it with 1.1 bar and chain, change the bar and chain to 1.3/30cm so you can use stihl's picco duro 1.3/30cm chain.
3. Open the oiling screw to the end, the saw does not leak oil and it helps a lot since original makita bar is not quality made, cutting tears its "skin" from heat.
4. Always check your chain tension after 30 min of cutting, it loosens up and the chain likes to jump out, hitting bar and making bites.
5. If the chain jumps off, put it backwards and spin it few times, so it clears the tooth bites on the bar, and return the chain properly.
6. Do not try to cut 90 degrees horizontally, 1.1. chain does not hold bar good and deep and it will jump from the bar, always cut at angle.
7. If you bought 1.3/30 cm stihl's picco duro bar and chain, neglect 4th, 5th and 6th tip.
It is a great tool, great for smaller firewood, great for pruning and for tall cuts since the chain stops almost immediately, great for camping too. I have real chainsaws, but i do not rememner when did i took them in my hands last time, that makita chainsaw is so rewarding and simple. The only downsize is that its heavy, for the power it gives. Wish you many luck, do not treat it as a toy, there is no chainsaw that forgives mistakes, neither does this one.
After watching your vid, I’m gonna attempt to put my one of these saws chains back on, which came off last week. Usually I ask my pal to do stuff like that, but now I’m feeling brave. (Lol)

Yes, I do realise the difference. What I didn’t realise, is that ‘unboxing’ videos, were supposed to be vocal free, only allowing hand gestures.
