    Great job with the matching wheels, Bob! So much better than the factory silver. I never liked those “mouse-ran-up-the-clock” automatic seatbelts. So glad they went away. I noticed a missing bolt on the engine cover to the left of the H-6 logo. Hopefully, it’s a common replacement size.

    I remember reading about this car in a magazine when it first came out. The title of the article said "Subaru...Just SVXpecting".

    This is memory lane, I had this same car, though not as mint by any means. It has the MOST comfortable seats in any car I have every experienced. It's uncanny how comfortable it was to cruise in for hours. It cost me a fortune to keep running but I won't ever say I regretted it. It was like a grumpy racehorse: on some days it fought you and on same days it was absolutely on point. Favorite car I've ever owned on a purely emotional basis.

    That's a beautiful car!
    Doesn't matter if the design was controversial or strange when it was new, it has matured with age.

    Back in the day the SVX was a bucket list car for me as well! But my garage was full. I had a 928 for a GT & a Landcruiser for off-road/utility use.

    These were a really stand out car back in the day. Really wanted one, but they were twice the price of a base pony car. I was at the Detroit Motor Show in 1995, and was amazed by this car, even more so than the Porsche 911 of the time. Loved the way the steering wheel moved out of the way for ease of access. Of course, nothing special today. Unfortunately, while I still like these, I don't love them. I don't think they've aged particularly well. Still, a very interesting car. I'd prefer if the car didn't have Alcantara, but the pearl white paint and white wheels has to be the best colourway for this car. I'm sure this will still be someone's dream car, and the buyer is surely going to be a happy man. I don't know how Bob finds such cars week in week out. He must be using his DeLorean to bring them back from the past.

    We've owned a 92 since new. I don't think the laser glass between the two headlights light up. Parts & a qualified mechanic are very hard to find. Transmissions on the early models were a major problem, try to ensure you have a secondary cooler for the tranny. A/C compressor is a scroll type, hard to find a replacement. Clearly, if those issues were a problem, our SVX would be sitting or gone. Added bonus is if you keep it garaged & drive a few miles a year, with a good driving record, insurance is very inexpensive, from collector car providers. Bottom line, is a great car to own, actually in over 30 years of driving, the repair & maintenance costs are very low. Good luck to the next owner.

    I only have one question. Whats the transmission like? Has it been swapped with 4.44 4EAT legacy outback trans? Or was it a properly built one with proper cooling from a later 95-97 model? Just wondering... we all know how bad the stock 92 trans is.

    • @euroasianbob9268
      @euroasianbob9268  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s the original transmission and shifts perfectly. How car was treated and serviced is a big factor. Actually going to have an aux transmission cooler added for extra cooling.
