I wish people would actually put this into practice. I've played golf for over forty years, carry a 2.1 index, and just in the past two years have adjusted my focus to only hit the middle of the green and don't flag hunt. Les, thanks for sharing your experience. I've been working on determining my shot dispersion for various clubs to create a "circle" that I can expect my shots to land in. Using this "circle" I can now decide where to aim and importantly where NOT to aim. I first encountered this approach when I looked into Decade Golf. I too am doing less flag hunting. Help me spread the word, and share this with your golfing buddies.
I saw where you commented on a Manuel De La Torre vid that you put together an instruction manual from what you learned watching Manuel teach. Where can I find that link?
