My home city has done the same thing with a purchased hotel and is also in the process of converting it into homeless housing. Glad to see this hotel won’t sit vacant and become a blight on the community.
I’ve been noticing few hotels that already been purchased so far. I wonder what’s the name of the hotel in Vancouver? I have to agree with you, it’s great to know that this wouldn’t be vacant and support is coming for the community!
It was the Howard Johnson. A matter of a fact it’s located right next to the JCPenny at Vancouver Mall so I’m sure you saw it when you filmed the store.

The last super 8’s I stayed in that were in different cities were run down, had mold in the bathrooms, cigarette burns on the sheets, just to name a few
Hi Andy, nice video. Back in the early 2000's I trained a high school student to work there. The employees were awesome and friendly--they were a wonderful community support to your high school😎 I am glad there will be support for the homeless community.

Nope we never have one here in Oregon. Ironically enough, I just drove by that Great Wolf Lodge today on my way to Seattle! That location opened in 2008 according to Google.

Not quite. This actually closed in June 2021. According to the article about the closure (It was posted in May 2021) that they are going to close down to become a homeless shelter which they did actually!

That could be the answer the owner giving up. Thankfully, it's been sold to become a homeless shelter. I believe they will open in the late summer!

Interesting that you did a vid on a motel. And there's an abandoned Days Inn on NE 82nd Ave in Portland.
