  • How I Polish & Wax A Motorcycle For Best Shine Easily - This is what I use to hand or machine polish and wax my motorcycles for the best shine and protection possible, easily. I find hand waxing faster overall for a motorcycle since there are so many tiny sections a random orbital polisher can't reach anyway. The brands I use simply work best for me, there are of course thousands of other combos that give just as good results but I stick with what I know works here. The key is the motorcycle must be clean and dry and NEVER do any of this in the sun, period. The polish step isn't as necessary as the wax but does ad a real nice depth to any paint and only takes an extra few minutes of work, plus the wax goes on easier with it and you are more guaranteed a clean surface.

    No windscreen manufacturer will recommend using automotive window cleaner on your windscreen. Too strong. Can lead to cracking. Hot water works well. Novus 1 Cleaner is also designed for it. Plexus is great after or if not very dirty. I also suggest a polymer wax for longer protection than pure carnuba. It breaks down faster in heat. An example of a polymer wax is Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax. Avoid paste waxes as grit will eventually get into the can. Excellent quick cleanup spray wax is Lucas Slick Mist Speed Wax. Its amazing & even removes bugs (best if apply b4). Shake b4 applying.

    I removed some old stickers from my fairings using ethanol and the paint faded quite a bit on that spot. Will this be able to make it look good again?

    I've never waxed my bike before. I don't even know what part to wax! It's a Harley Sportster...and besides the painted part, is there anything else that should be waxed? What about the chrome? I have NO idea what I'm doing...help. (and what the hell is a claybar??????)

    Great work! I've found the Meguiar's Black Gold Class carnuba wax gives a deep gloss finish that lasts for a while in the elements. The Meguiar's Black Spray Wax is great for touch up maintenance.

    Looks great Bryan. I use Plexus on my whole GoldWing. Tank...bags...trunk and the chrome parts. I also use Lucas Slick Mist as well and have been very pleased with results. I guess I am due for a full waxing, but my paint seems to really have a nice luster to it. On my F4 custom Windshield, Windex and a paper towel are suggested for cleaning. My head was spinning the first time I tried thT!!! But it works!!! The Wing is really an easy bike to detail. I can spend about 30mins for a quick detail and an hour for a full detail. I have to have a Clean Ride

    Might be a stupid question, but after clay barring, polishing and waxing, after a few rides, what are you washing bike with and how long will the wax 'last' before needing to reapply, love your channel, has helped a lot, cheers from Australia

      Using a waterless wash or quick detailer is a good way to clean the bike and boost the wax protection. I always wipe my bike off every time I ride. I start the bike up and wipe it off with a detail spray while it is warming up. I will usually wax it twice a year with a liquid or paste wax.

    nice video and I hope that you had a MERRY CHRISTMAS!! As for using water to wash my bike, I use my leaf blower to dry quickly. (just a friendly tip bud) Also, I am glad that you did this video, as I get an email every time you post. When i saw the title, I was like, "I need to do that." lol

      Yes I have a leaf blower too. You still have to towel lots of bits dry.

    Could you do a video on how you buff out your scratches sometime please? My bike's gathering a few on the tank but I don't like using those tank protectors either.

    Whats the difference between a pure wax vs a cleaner wax?

    • @TwoWheelObsession
      @TwoWheelObsession  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cleaner way has mild abrasives to help with fine swirls or scratches.
