One thing I really like about this format is that you took the time to move planner other options. That's incredibly helpful for visualizing the different options, especially as you explain why you like your version more.
At the beginning of the match, the Von Bolt player did not send an immediate infantry to cap the neutral base. This set up for starting an infantry fight at 4:20, but not going for a neutral base ASAP is generally a mistake.
and then they don't even do the double attack, making skipping the base pointless... I was holding out hope they did it as a big brain play to deny that city :(
I really enjoy content like this! One quick suggestion: it would be helpful to mention how to find the tier list for different game modes. New players might just pick a CO that sounds cool or brings back good memories.
I thought my eyes were deceiving me, I haven’t seen this map (at least the OG one) in forever! Seeing a beginner video is nice! I think the Tier thing isn’t explained very well to beginners when choosing your CO. At least, the interface doesn’t make it easy to understand right away. Love me some low tier games every once in a while, nice to remember the basics 😊
Would be cool to make this a series if you enjoy producing it, Humita! It doesn't take much to improve on moves made at 800 level (compared to the difficulty analysing and explaining the top players' moves) but i imagine your commentary and demonstrations could do a lot to help bring more new players into the game
As a new player this is exactly the kind of content I'm looking for on TH-cam. Really helpful to get this kind of insight from a better player. My only critique is that I felt like you spent longer than necessary explaining some of the relatively small mistakes in the beginning.
Love this kind of review, even as an intermediate player it can be helpful. Some things from this match, VB delayed the neutral base. Most likely an accident as they capped the city they could get to day 1 and didn't notice the neutral base. Surprisingly the Sami player kind of bullied VB on Sami's weak side. VB did not capitalize on this overextension (even after the pipe break). Almost every turn there were opportunities for VB to decimate Sami's troops on the left, even after Sami has the neo over there. I feel like a lot of what determines matches at the lower levels (even a lot of my matches around 1200) is knowing when and where to fight and/or be aggressive before the fronts have taken their natural shape and you realize you have been fighting on the weak side, taking engagements that don't work out long term, not positioning your army correctly, etc. A lot of this comes down to map reading and game play experience so no surprise that newer players struggle with it.
Very nice analysis. I think the over reliance on sneaky hq caps will only carry you so far. Higher level players will know Sami’s endgame and plan accordingly.
As nobody has offered a solution yet, I'll try: Could you not defend the cap in the final turn by freezing the infantry on the right of the HQ and then killing the Southern infantry (the one on the tile north of the t-copter) is fairly trivial. (rocket the tank, copter the tank, arty the aa, tank attacks the aa, the aa cleans up the southern infantry on the road)? - there's a bunch of other combinations to clear that infantry too, not sure which is optimal though without looking at all the combinations. I think there's a bit of an issue that it still doesn't feel like a winning position from there. The income lead and unit value for Sami feels pretty strong, especially for them to still be sitting on a full power vs no power.
I've always enjoyed watching lower level reviews in other strategy games, so I'd definitely follow this as a series~ Personally I catch more videos than streams, but either one is totally fine. There is the option of editing stream clips into a video, albeit much more work than probably necessary Enjoying your content! ヾ(•ω•`)o
One Trick Wolf busting out Sami's one trick. Living up to the name.

I'm actually looking forward to a series like this
Me too
Nutty lower level game with Humita? Yes please!

I like seeing games from all levels of players to learn various aspects of AWBW. You're doing great work. Thank you
You need to talk about the map characteristics as of we had 5 years old and also, trying to make we learn to check it ourselves.
That’s a good point!
This is an interesting change of pace for sure, I like it.

Can you make this a series. I cant break above 850 yet
Same. Been stagnating at 950.
I think watching lower level players is often more entertaining. It's "spicy."

that onetrickwolf guy is clearly a tactical genius
Great game, my friend!
great review. thank you!

Ooh, redirecting the missile, that’s smart, i hadn’t thought of that. Would have to check but def possible! Nice find
I didn't even know you accepted games for submission.
Lol nice ending gg
So we're gonna look at some nutty game.
I think you can do it like Go7 as we love his stream so probably we will like your stream too.
Can you do a series in how to identify viables CO picks in maps?
Oh they replaced the pipes with bboats
How do you submit requests to get a dpot
Do you coach mid level 1100 level players too!
