@@LanEXHikari Was pretty obvious his copter was doing something sneaky and saw it moving southward then eastward. You'd have to be blind not to notice.

I got matched with Mangs when I was 820 and he was 1000ish for some reason. He destroyed me understandably.
For you it was a boss battles, for Mangs, it was a Tuesday.

Some advice about 12:00. Instead of moving your 3 hp tank next to your lander, you could have moved it directly into it. This would have two positive benefits.
One, it would be saved from the Winter Fury damage. And, since your tank is on the HQ, it can repair. Yes, even inside the lander.
That makes a lot of sense. I once heard Deejus say units could "repair" while inside black boats and I was so confused because I was looking for the repair option, but now I understand, the property is what does the repairing
Been playing since AW1 and never knew units could repair inside transports. Can't believe it's been this long and you can still find something new in this game. Also good work sharing that piece of info about protecting units in transports from global damage powers. To add to that, it's worth noting that sometimes you are better off putting a 10 HP unit on a property to heal back to full instead. You trade repair cost for the ability to use your unit right away to punish over-extension on the next turn instead of using a turn to unload your unit. Depends on the state of your engagement in terms of what is best at the moment. Hope this helps.
Why is there a lander on the HQ in the first place? To stop people from simply capturing it?

I'm impressed with the way you were able to capitalize, Mangs' made a few reckless engagements and it really cost him, perhaps because he might have been underestimating you
The impression I get from some of Mangs' playstyle here in this game (since people can play differently based on the map, CO, and their mood in general) was kind of a poker player who frequently all-ins. Such a strategy usually forces newbies, and even some veterans, into a state of fear because you don't know what's coming based on such an extreme show of confidence like rushing in your powerful units straight into enemy lines, and the risk on the offensive player's part is tremendous, if you make a mistake when dealing with it, its game over for you.
You however, handled things in a very controlled way and that's impressive.
Plus I liked the framing of the video, the music, narration, explanations and editing were all quite good, it felt like you were a man going up against a giant in this, and you pulled it off well lol

if you check his videos you can see that he indeed make very reckless decisions lol, there is even the meme "mangs infantry", an overly aggressive infantry move that kills them.
But besides that he is pretty good at the game, would recommend his channel if you like AW and FE content
Mangs is a great player but sometimes he goes full baboon brain monkey mode and gets too aggressive lol
One thing I learned a little while ago is units will heal inside of landers on HQs. I dunno if vehicles do, but infantry do for sure. An interesting thing to note for this map.
Does it cost funds or is it for free ?
@@AAhmou It would be pretty weird for it to not cost funds. It was in a video on Deejus' channel if you wanna go try and find it IIRC.
It's been Patched recently looking at the changelogs not sure why since it's similar to the boosting tech on APCs and keeping units in transports to heal is a risk in itself
The quality of this video is so amazing and i can easily see how much work is put into it (Really underrated video)

The first half took a long time and was entirely scripted, with changes being made to the script and video based on the pace of each other.
The last half... not so much

I indeed come from mangs' chnanel to see what was up, and the editing was super well done to a handle a map that big, but you 100% got me when that s4 league music started playing

Drake is T2 on this map???
No he's t3. I thought Drake's normal power was 1 bar cheaper and my plan was to use it first so that he could never override my scop's rain with a winter fury. Ultimately, it worked to my advantage because he was forced into a position where he needed to use his scop first, but it would have been smarter just to pick Olaf on this map.

So I didn't know you could play AW on a website, as a old school nub how is Drake got Black Hole troops?just a fun little graphics change with no effect on the game I assume. Also does the site do balance changes to COs?
Yeah any CO can play as any country, it's just graphical.
COs are placed in tiers and ranked play always automatically choses a tier to play in. This was a tier 2 game, so characters like Sturm, Von bolt, and Hawke could not be chosen, but we could have picked other COs like Max, Eagle or worse characters. Characters aren't changed for balance reasons (mostly) but because you're locked to a tier they mostly remain viable in their tier of play
Well, this gave me some confidence to actually try Advance Wars online with randoms. It was very low after seeing GrimmGuy's games.

Why did you pick drake for this map? With so many mountains and forests to impair mobility, it seems like air units are pretty strong which is bad for Drake. Also, if Mangs was playing as Olaf you picked a tier 3 CO for a tier 2 match. Personally I would have gone with Eagle if I got this map in tier 2.

I’m surprised a competitive map would have com towers on the edges. Seems like an odd inclusion that dissuades players from simply fighting for the middle ones. The advantage with 3 also feels a bit much.

pushing after achieving income lead end fast in "overextending" and give your oppenent a fair chance to fight back

I have only played advance wars and advance wars 2 black hole so can someone explain to me what in gods name are those water units with robotic arms they created right at the start
Black Boats. They're like Landers but they cannot hold vehicles, cost 7500, and can repair 1 hp/resupply adjacent units

I don't know how you have played this much awbw without playing atleast aw2 lol, it's easy to get a rom and boot it up.
I actually made a video where I used it as an example of how quick and easy it was to set up an emulator. My record was like 40 seconds to download VBA, the rom and open it, going from a fresh computer with nothing pre-installed

He also said some really predatory things about a minor towards one of his now former mods.
I don't think Mangs can be worse than a person who spreads rumors, trying to initiate a drama and discord. If anything i wouldn't hang around you of all people, and neither i would trust you.
