Hello, i have the same problem on my late 2015 grand Cherokee 3.6L diesel but the mechanic says that the engine is isn't exactly the same because the sensor isn't mounted in the same place and is mounted on top of the transmission and for that we have to drop it, is there any other alternative for it? (I checked with him while watching the video we checked under the alternator and on it's side but we couldn't find the cable but instead we found it in another place and it's leading above the transmission)

I never change that sensor on a diesel, but I’m summing the sensor its on the same location. You don’t have to remove the transmission to replace that sensor just keep looking on this same side li the one in the video. If you find it let us know where it was locate it please

@yassinebedraoui5212 were you able to find the alternative OR did you have to drop the transmission for your Diesel WK2? I have the same issue...

I have a crankshaft sensor code in my 17 grand Cherokee 3.6, replaced the camshaft sensor and every parts store doesn't know what that camshaft sensor is, is this the same motor as a 17 3.6? I'm getting nowhere finding the part.

@@flako4u77 I'm in Pennsylvania, not one parts store has any idea what the crank sensor is, they keep giving me a cam sensor and the reader clearly says crank sensor and I replaced it but obviously didn't fix the problem. I can't even find anything online about a crank sensor for a 17

@@flako4u77 I get about 10 minutes of normal driving then the stop/start light comes on and it won't go up hills, no power. I'd love to fix it myself but it seems impossible to find a crank sensor

@@flako4u77 your video is great, I mean I can't find the part to purchase from an auto parts store, they keep handing me the camshaft sensor , it seem like they don't have any idea it a different part
