My 91 year old mother sang this out of the blue last night as she dozed off to sleep. I have never heard of it before, and I am an avid music lover. So I had to discover it today and because she has missed the computer train, she sat amazed... that it would come up today out of the blue. Many have in the last 2 years, but she forgets a bit now, glad I could give her a big smile and look for amazement. Thank you so much for being on here.
+lani kohler. You are most welcome Iani. Isn't it wonderful to be able, so easily, to give such happiness to anyone because of TH-cam which, in my opinion, is one of the greatest inventions of mankind.
I was an extra in the josef locke movie made when i was in school along with all my classmates. Great memories of those 3 days in what is now the davenport Hotel in Dublin
Wonderful! This song means so much to so many people, doesn’t it? In my case my grandad loved it…and I’m no spring chicken either. There is just nothing like this these days, young folks now are deprived of a great many things of quality and meaning; music being one of them. Thank you for the short break away from the drudgery of modern life.
Thanks for posting this. Remember it, just, from when I was very young and then from the movie, of course. Marvellous voice. I suppose there's a market in the UK for this kind of light classical music on Classic FM [radio station].
