Thiago, the truth is that I understand everything you talk about and to think that 5 months ago I didn't understand anything at all, I am very happy, thank you for the dedication and your quality videos, I am using the translator since I don't know much English, I am advancing step by step. I'm just strengthening my hearing, thank you very much
Thiago's communication skills are remarkable! You realize that he tries to be as assertive as possible. There are no cuts between each sentence as we see in 90% of other teachers’ videos. This brings a lot of confidence in what he says.
This is so true, you need to have exposure to the language as much as possible, improving your input skills on a daily basis. That's why now I'm listening to your podcast on x2 speed trying not to lose comprehension of the material too. Firstly I started listening on x1.25, not after couple weeks I'm increasing the speed of your voice. Thank you so much for the work you're doing for all of us!
Thiago, first of all I want to thank you for the content you release for free. I’m following you since 2020 at reallifeenglish and today I came across this channel. I’ll enroll your private community as soon as possible. Thank you
Hi thiago I am from CHAD a country in Central Africa I just want to say thanks For the great job you're doing I started following you a couple of weeks ago However I learned a lot from you and I recommend your channel to many of my friends out there struggling with the English learning journey ❤
Hi Thiago I found your personal channel today. I'm so happy about it. lol You are an excellent teacher. I was your student and I am an English teacher. Thank you for helping me.:)
Congratulations 🎉🎉 you got a new Indian's subscriber. I would like to inform you that I joined your channel because your rate of pitch is normal and essay for beginners.
A very focused and 'visual' lesson: it really helps in understanding pronunciation difficulties. I also want to emphasize how much your pronunciation course, with detailed connected speech analisys and exercises, is helping me! Thank you, Thiago! 👌
Thiago, I enjoy watch tv series to practice my listening but I just like sitcom. Some people say you need to watch or listen to something you enjoy to keep you motivated. What do you think about that?
Yes, I believe it's important to consume content you enjoy. At the same time, it's also important for you to gain exposure to other kinds of English and ideas. So I would recommend striking a nice balance between consuming content you enjoy vs consuming content that will challenge you and help you grow. =)
Hey Thiago, it's me again and I deeply appreciate your acknowledgment on this video and I can't believe I made a silly mistake with the preposition for when it should have been to (Could you say it was a slip rather than an error?). By the way, would you be open to the possibility of making another video revolving around International English Exams such as TOEFL, Cambridge, Michigan, Duolingo etc and your personal takes about them? (You already made one on IELTS which was incredibly useful by the way because I took the test approximately 2 weeks and a half after I watched your video and I surprisingly had an overall 7.5 band with 7 in Speaking which boosted my confidence so much).
Hey, Daniel! About your "mistake", yeah, I would call it a slip, which is very common among advanced speakers of English. =) Sure, I do plan to make other videos about proficiency exams. So stay tuned! And congratulations on getting a 7.5 on IELTS. That's already a solid advanced level! Thanks for the ongoing support.
It varies depending on the criterias the company/institution/academy uses to measure proficiency but it's colloquialy believed that C1 is when you can call yourself bilingual. B2 is like hold on, you're almost there but there's much more to learn
I agree with what Daniel said, Danielle. While a B2 level already enables you to achieve many things with the language, I would say the ideal level for everybody to strive for is C1. Then, for those who want to challenge themselves even more and push themselves, C2 would be the go-to level. But for most people, C1 is an awesome level to attain.
Hey Thiago, glad to see your another video. But I need help, in fact from anyone who see this comment. By now I struggle with that I cycled in circle of thoughts about my pronunciation. When I am practicing my speaking, I always think about words "this" and "these". I already understood what is difference between these words, but I have that irrational fear of that I can be misunderstooden by other speakers, but it never happened before, and i am just tired of constantly checking my own pronunciation of these two words. What I supposed to do? Just don't mention it or something else?
Omg, I had the opportunity to speak with Indian people some months ago, and what a coincidence to read your comment haha because I just uploaded an episode telling my story about that experience, I hope you can listen to it 🌻
Hey, there. First of all, "doing lots of things" doesn't equal progress. Progress comes from doing just a few, well-targeted things over a sustained period of time. Also, there's the time factor. How long have you been "doing lots of things" to improve your English? Progress doesn't happen overnight. I would recommend focusing on just doing a few things every week and being patient with your progress. This video might help you with some ideas of what to do: th-cam.com/video/olfMfDND0F0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=W74698crw5zx7Tl1

Hey Thiago, i have a question, what is the level that a person needs to reach, to be considered bilingual?
