I took one out last weekend when the Demo trailer was at Seminole H-D. I absolutely loved it as well. It felt more nimble and has significantly better throttle response than my 22 RG Special. Even in street mode. I like how the base model has all of the tech that's built into mine. I'd like to have one. Or the CVO ST. :D The Android auto thing is a problem for me though. I've heard others say that it wasn't supported. And the Motor Co said that Google isn't going to support 2 wheeled vehicles or something like that. That's disappointing. As I use it for Nav and music when I'm riding. And it was a significant factor in my decision against going to a Challenger/Pursuit during Biketoberfest last year. I don't want to switch phones either. I have a real problem with Apple as a company. But that's a different tech related conversation. :D Anyway!! Thanks for the Review Jess.
The cross country trip is pretty awesome of them to do. I know it was because of the insane weather in California but letting someone ride a brand new model that just came out 3k miles is pretty awesome. Maybe they can make some kind of awesome trade deal and give a massive discount so she can get for just a few grand? She is definitely selling some bikes with these videos.
Just bought the same bike. Same color and added the CVO heated grips, stage II speakers in the fairing and saddlebags, Krome Werks exhaust among other things. Waiting for Klock Werks to come out with a windshield for it. Taking delivery tomorrow.
If you go to the audio settings. Then the EQ settings. Go down to the bottom to custom. From there you can turn up mids highs and turn down bass levels to get a louder sound. I myself had this issue and even though it's not great ,it's way better than before.
I had the same plans. 100k or more on my 19 RG. Said it over and over and over to everyone saying I had too many miles on it and time for a new one. Then the 24 Sharkskin RG came out. Guess the 24 will have to see 100k!
I have a 2019 RGU that just got a zippers 468 cam. This has made it feel like a new bike. The cam isn't as peppy on the high end as yours but is perfect at slow skills practice and in the sweet spot for touring. Im slowly getting use to the new look but still like mine better.
Awesome job! You did a great job narrating, executing and articulating your description of the 2024 Road Glide. 👍 And as an added bonus, you’re very attractive. 😊
That’s why I don’t go look at bikes too often, because I will want to buy things that I can’t afford right now. I have been really tempted to go look at the new road Glide now that it’s liquid cooled. But now it’s a choice between the Indian Challenger and the Road Glide for me in about 5 years 😅
Thank you so much for this review . I did watch your cross country trip and this review makes me feel better about the fact that I have just purchased a 2024 Roadglide. Unfortunately, living in Ontario Canada, I won’t be riding for another month or so but really looking forward to it.
I traded my paid off 2023 Road Glide for a 2024 two weeks ago. I love it! I agree about the speakers and the kill switch. It took me a few seconds to figure out why it shut off at 70 mph. The left fairing pocket also popped open once on the interstate. I have to disagree about the seat, though. I'm 5'11", and 230lbs. After 30 minutes I was uncomfortable. At a little over 100 miles, I really wanted a break. Still, I love this thing, and can't wait to put some more miles on it.
@marybethcleveland8945 My 2023 was the base model ( not even ABS). It wasn't as much as I hoped, but they did remove the "Market Adjustment " off the price. I knew I was going to take a hit, but it wasn't unbearable. And I really love the new one.
Love it Jess! I just sold my old Ultra and im looking at Road Glides. Dont think i can get a new one but I love the model and your videos on it have been great!!
Did you make sure your phone volume was turned all the way up? There has been so many times when I get on the highway and can't hear my music then remember to max my phone volume as well as the bike volume which then fixes it. I'm sure you know but just incase you don't there you go. If you did have both devices maxed in volume I'm glad to hear your feedback. People may need to upgrade the speakers and/or get a taller windshield.
Maybe HD Corporate may work a good deal for you. Giving them lots of great and honest publicity. Would definitely get a taller, flaired windshield for the buffeting though. Would the Appa sofa seat fit the new bike or would this not be Appa 2.0? You rode a lot of miles on a Harley seat and were not in pain. That's impressive.
Hi Jess, I'm test riding the same bike but the dealership in the UK hasn't got it in yet. Watched tons of reviews on this bike so far and yours is the most useful in terms of what I want, doing miles !!! You are straight forward and honest, exactly what is needed. Thanks so much. Maybe bye bye to my totally loved Road King 😪
I just stumbled across your review scrolling through TH-cam. Great job! I'm 73, and I ride a 2013 Ultra Classic. I have the same problem not being able to hear the speakers at highway speeds. Again, great job on the narration and editing! I'll be checking out your other cross-country videos. ❤😊 Respect from Texas
I have a 16 ultra limited perched the tallest windshield on the market and I can ride on interstate and have no problem hearing the radio. And my wife enjoys the ride much better.
Jess ive followed you from the beginning. Its great to watch you grow and how your tastes evolve. Glad youre enjoying lots of riding and good luck not buying this gem!
I have a 2016 Road Glide Special and the GPS is horrible. How is the 2024 GPS and better? May have to pull the trigger and get the new one..Thanks for a great video as always
I bought my '21 RGS in Billiard Teal after I saw your test ride of that bike. I really like the new dash in this bike, but I'm sad that they took away Android Auto. I'm sure the 117 is great. There is much talk in the HD circles about making your bike truly yours. Ironically, HD has done this for me by eliminating the Road Glide Special, and removing Android Auto on the new bikes. The sharkskin blue is a really good color... but maybe not as good as the teal. I've never been more motivated to keep my current bike, and dig deeper into modification. Thanks for your content, and for what you do in this community. :)
My club brother just got one, told me to look it up! I crashed my 2008 SG in August, and got a 2015 RGS . The difference in acceleration & torque is crazy, anyway said all that to say this you got a new sub off that giggle of pure enjoyment when you put it in sport mode! I was like "hell yeah she a real rider rider!" Had never seen your channel b4 now! Do that shit sis!!!
Thanks for the review on the great Harley. After putting so many miles on the bike in so many different types of weather and still saying you would like to own that bike is quite a testiment. (Hopefully folks can go and buy that bike at MSRP and not be abused at the dealerships with exorbinant markups like in the past.)
@@chublez You are correct and supply and demand helps dictates the prices. If a handful of people are willing to pay the additional money, nothing will change.
Hey Jess. Just do it. You only go around once in life and you can’t take it with you. The worst thing to carry is regret. A just to show I back my words. I got one and I love it. 😮. Ride safe sister
Took me 7 years to put 100k miles on my 17 streetglide, Now I'm really wanting that new roadglide! I'm like you tho I don't have a payment and have to make myself get a new one. BTW I'm the guy that passed you on Beartooth when the sleet had you pulled over and you said man those guys are hardcore! We weren't I just had multiple vehicles and needed a better pull off place! Still love those chipmunks at the rest area tho. Def a must stop spot.
Hi Jess, How would you rate the new Road Glide to your BMW R18B and which would you prefer if you could only have 1? I have the R18B which is why I ask.
Thx for the info. I’m currently wanting to switch back to Harley from my current Goldwing. I still have an older Low Rider and my wife who also rides her own has asked me to ride my Harley because she wants it to be a “cool” ride 😊. She says she misses the Harley culture and I agree with her. I’m planning on buying a Road Glide but my dilemma is colour. Does the white really look bad when it’s full of bugs?
can you operate GPS without the cell phone also does it has Spotify built in the infotainment ? or you have to buy an Iphone if you have an android phone also are the brakes link to each other or nor ? please fill me in , Thanks
Google dropped android auto support for motorcycles in 2024. There's nothing Harley Davidson could do about that. I use Apple CarPlay for Spotify and navigation in my truck, car, and motorcycle and don't understand why Google dropped support for all but cars and trucks. There is probably an aftermarket gizmo that you could use to stream Spotify without using CarPlay. The bike comes standard with RDRS and linked brakes.
Just purchased the 24 RG sharkskin blue yesterday very excited to get this thing out and see what it can do…I had a beautiful SG 20 that i went all out and put an amazing sound system in so im sure im gonna miss that 😢
I went from a 19 streetglide with a very expensive stereo I put in and it’s a little dissapointjng with the speakers but this bike is 10x nicer than my old one.
Jen,Mark here I have a 2019 HD Triglide Ultra and I purchased the HD modular helmet with the HD sena built in. I have an Iphone SE(newer), I’v been unable to connect my phone thru the HD boom system to my helmet. Do you have any sudjestions?
Another awesome video, Jess . Wow you have a hard decision. I was thinking that new bike is going to grow on you when I was watching one of your videos of you going cross country, oh man . I bet it was like when I went on vacation with my family and we rented a new version of my truck and then we come back off vacation and at the airport on the way home I go , oh man my truck even feels old now it doesn’t have all the new charging ports built in , but totally before the trip I’m like my truck top notch. Blah blah blah … 😂😂😂 That rental maid me say , Yeah Right. So I can’t wait to see what you end up doing. It would be cool if Harley maybe even gave you a great deal for it. Would love to see what mods you would do to Appa 2.0 !!! Keep the videos coming !!!
to solve Apple Car play issue, just connect a BT mic pluging to the usb C port. Your card can be paired only to iPhone so you can handl calls or navigation directions and save battery. To stream audio from bike speakers, need to choice them on Audio setting.
I just got this beautiful road glide in chrome. Any tips with parking and the clutch lever having to be so far out? From factory they are the last 1/2 inch or so of the travel in the clutch lever.
Jess love your videos on different bikes, but I really like this bike, because of your honest videos I really really thinking about getting one!! Here is my ? to you,I 6'4" 325lbs with long legs, what's your opinion on this bike for long distance riding because iam so tall,is there room to stretch out my legs, any suggestions on what type of highway pegs would be good to buy for a long long trips?? BTW...I from Coral Springs FL out off the Sawgrass Expressway near the everglades levy...😂😂😊😊
Thanks Jess,I seen alot of videos on this 2024 road glide,so from your experience what brand of extended reach seat,do you recommend for comfort and long distance riding then and also sometimes a passenger too??
I see you have the tour pack on this one. Did you get the wobble you had on Appa, when you were going across PA? Do you think it was the way the bike was loaded or suspension settings? When my rear suspension is set softer I get tail wag in high speed corners.
Such a great time to be able to enjoy riding these wonderful bikes these days ! Yep there is no perfect motorcycle , just the one that fits you perfectly , I ride a Goldwing and she fits me , but she’s not perfect , still love her , thanks for what you do !👍😎
I just bought a 23 Street Glide, but because of your videos, I had to check out the Road Glides. I’ve never been a fan, but the 2024’s are growing on me. Tell Harley to give you $1 per view of the video off the bike and you’ll take it. 😊
@@HerTwoWheels your husband sure must be proud of you. Im Sure he knows how rare someone like you is. We like him on the videos also, a cool guy ! Keep it up
Good review. Regarding headset battery life, if you're getting less than 10 hrs it could be a setting. If your mic is always "hot" your battery life will be less. Stay safe and ride what fits your budget and makes you happy. Plenty of high dollar bikes that seldom get ridden.
I got the same bike just blue and really enjoy it. Only a couple complaints and one is the radio can’t really hear it and my other is when you come up you have to shut the whole bike to get the motor to shut down unlike on previous they do have a kill switch.
Traded in 21" SG Special for a 24" RG, Whiskey Fire! Of note, Apple Car Play does not connect via Bluetooth to your phone; you have to have a headset connected or fool the system by hooking up a Bluetooth device; keep in mind it's not a USB connection but a USB C, so more than likely you will need an adapter.
Jess Have to agree it dont matter what a rider rides as long it fits them. I have my personal preferences and dislikes. Ill say im Harely Davidsons guy and prefer Untra Glides. My budget dont allow newer bikes and im trying get debt free. But im tempted to purchase a newer or a new bike. Honestly im not into technology. Im on the fence. Your bike is very nice and i enjoy your videos. I ride a 99 Untra Glide and i really like this bike but my circle tells me i really need to upgrade bye 20 yrs and i need go Untra Road Glide. I don't know. My problem is i dont adjust to well to newer things and im conflicted.
Seeing you at the park blockhead used to do his reviews at was really cool. I’ve actually taken my mom to that park to show her the peacocks and the pavilion across the street. Also took her on the wildlife trail so she could see gators. That road you were on is like one of 3 twisty roads in the whole area. There weren’t as many houses there when I lived in Orlando. You popped out onto 441/OBT where I used to drive link 44 bus route. I did like 103…kph…yea….kph 😂 on that section of 414 you were on. Cool to see you out there.
I’m going to get one of the new road glide bikes but I’m going to wait until the fall to see if they have any problems with the new liquid cooled heads
Sounds like Harley had you figured out when they made the invitation! Seriously, I’m not a fan of all the tech on the new bikes. Engines and body styling are bound to change over the years. It’s a lot easier to upgrade my phone for the technology I want, rather than upgrading the whole bike!
Maybe on different but I really don’t care what brand you ride or what style of motorcycle you ride as long as you enjoy it that’s all that matters. I prefer Harley but I will ride with anybody as long as you respect me, I will respect you
Thanks Jess, I enjoy your videos. I've got a 2013 Road King FLHR. Could reach 100K this year. I love my RK so much but, could be swayed by this bike. Not till next year though.
My 24 Alpine Green is in for its 1k service right now and is waiting on a new transmission before I can get it back. Between the electronic issues I’ve had, clutch issues, and now transmission in 3 weeks of ownership, I kind of regret parting ways with my 2010.
I’m scared about that with ANY new gen. 😅 car, bike, boat idk. If it’s an entirely NEW thing… there WILL be lemons unfortunately! Hope you get it back asap!
@@HerTwoWheels thanks! The electronic issues I kind of figured I’d deal with at some point, but the transmission I thought would be solid since they haven’t made many revisions to the 6 speed. They found chunks of second gear in my oil when they drained it. I had been complaining about it feeling weird while shifting since I got it. I’m ready to get it back though! Weathers looking good tomorrow and Monday here in Ohio and I’m gonna go stir crazy! lol
I actually did mention it the FIRST time I recorded this video 😂😂😂 the audio didn’t work so I had to re-record it. And it only happens when you hir a HUGE bump. But still. It happens. I’m the only person who has experienced it apparently according to my other friends who rode the bike
Yes, I would love to get the NEW ‘24 SG. But, after all that extras you put into Appa w/ the cam, wheels, seat etc… it would be hard to see him go! 🤷🏼♂️
Good review but you never mentioned the ride quality on rough pavement vs your old bike. The frame on the new bike is still from 2009. I find the Harleys ride very firm and you feel every bump in the road with the stock suspension. The only bike i test rode that was smooth was a full touring Indian that uses a mono shock in the rear. Please comment. Thanks

I just got this beautiful road glide in chrome. Any tips with parking and the clutch lever having to be so far out? From factory they are the last 1/2 inch or so of the travel in the clutch lever.
I have not noticed any issues. Sorry 🥲
You can definitely ride! I would recommend an extended reach seat so you sit back further, and some good highway pegs to put your legs out!
Yep there is no perfect motorcycle , just the one that fits you perfectly , I ride a Goldwing and she fits me , but she’s not perfect , still love her , thanks for what you do !👍😎
Couldn't agree more!
I just bought a 23 Street Glide, but because of your videos, I had to check out the Road Glides. I’ve never been a fan, but the 2024’s are growing on me. Tell Harley to give you $1 per view of the video off the bike and you’ll take it. 😊
Don't give it back😁!!! Big thanks Jess!!
Very intelligent content. Good job. My 22 Road Glide is paid off, so I’m not even gonna test ride a new one.
Don’t do it! 😅😅😅
@@HerTwoWheels your husband sure must be proud of you. Im
Sure he knows how rare someone like you is.
I agree with BOTH of those comments! I was just telling my H-D Rep that I miss the ignition. Don’t like that i gotta shut the whole bike down.
I test rode one of the 24 Road Glides a few weeks ago. Now I wanna sell my current bike and get one of those.
Is the Tour Pack removable?
The flashing screen is because the rate is the same as the camera. If you change the camera rate it will stop. Same as the certain led tail lights.
Just bought one bright blue! Go for it!
Your audio best it's ever been
Thanks for your honesty
Always!
Is this your first true review Jess? EDIT: OMG your voice sounds so good! What mic? 🎤
Jess
Have to agree it dont matter what a rider rides as long it fits them.
In previous vid, you mentioned an issue with the fairing storage.
It really is a great looking bike. Great review Jess! 🤙🏼
Thanks a ton!
Ugh I love my 22 Road glide but damn I want one of these so bad
Sounds like Harley had you figured out when they made the invitation! Seriously, I’m not a fan of all the tech on the new bikes. Engines and body styling are bound to change over the years. It’s a lot easier to upgrade my phone for the technology I want, rather than upgrading the whole bike!
Just bought one
Same color
First cruiser 🤙😊
Maybe on different but I really don’t care what brand you ride or what style of motorcycle you ride as long as you enjoy it that’s all that matters. I prefer Harley but I will ride with anybody as long as you respect me, I will respect you
And that’s exactly what it’s all about! I love all bikes and I love riding with people who enjoy different motorcycles than me! ♥️
Cheers Jess !👋😃
Weathers looking good tomorrow and Monday here in Ohio and I’m gonna go stir crazy! lol
Hate the wind shield but like the bike
That white paint is awesome in person!
I’ve been calling it “Mentos White” because it is the whitest white on a bike I have EVER SEEN! 😂
seriously thank you for mentioning your inseem instead of just hight!!!
Jess, have you ever ridden or reviewed the Indian Challenger or Pursuit? I’d be interested in your opinion and comparison to the Road Glide
I’m hoping to finish a deal on a 2024 RG in the blue burst
I've heard a few people are having problems with their new 24s not starting or running on 1 cylender. Have you had any issues at all?
Not at all!
The dealership can change the setting on the speaker issue. It’s a setting glitch they are now aware of!
Post Iron Butt you brought up compartments popping open and the front vent popping open on a cold night.
You forgot to mention the front side pockets and how easily they come open. This was in one of your videos.
I actually did mention it the FIRST time I recorded this video 😂😂😂 the audio didn’t work so I had to re-record it. And it only happens when you hir a HUGE bump. But still. It happens. I’m the only person who has experienced it apparently according to my other friends who rode the bike
Thanks jess great video and that's a beautiful bike
Going to test ride a RG CVO st tomorrow can't wait to see what all the fuss is about
Let me know how it goes!!!
Thanks
Did the tour pak come with? If not how muck to add?
It’s awesome and you deserve it. So there
😂 I love your logic bahaha
With car play can't you connect to the bike and use the phone's GPS?
