Your always a little wrong, but ONLY THE HMHS BRITANNIC SUNK & FROM A SEA-MINE! (#1) RMS (Royal Mail Ship) OLYMPIC* 1910-1935 She was an ocean liner. Routes - Southampton - Cherbourg Queenstown - NYC. During WW1 from May 1915 to August 1919, Olympic is reported to have carried over 200,000 troops and other personnel, burning 350,000 tons of coal and travelling about 185,000 miles. Her war service earned her the nickname 'Old Reliable'. Captain Fox Hayes was knighted in 1919 for "Invaluable services and safe transport of our troops". (#2) HMHS (His Majesty's Hospital Ship) BRITANNIC* never operated in her intended role as a passenger ship, instead she was operated as a hospital ship from 1915 until her sinking in the Aegean Sea, in November 1916. At the time she was the largest hospital ship in the world. (#3) MV(MOTOR VESSEL) BRITANNIC* didn't sink. 1929-1960 She cruised transatlantic from Liverpool or London - New York 22 years besides 1939-1947 while moving the troops during WW2.
I fucking love that Chrissy D is a history fanatic. It was the beauty of History Hyenas to hear top tier comedians give their spin in historical moments
Why in the hell would you act embarrassed about getting into history?? Afraid you might not be dumber when you put your phone down or something ..lol.. History is fascinating
Roger Bricoux was the Titanic's cello player and just 21 years old when he perished during the ship's sinking. But Bricoux wasn't officially declared dead until 2000, though all of the musicians died on April 15, 1912. The French army even called him a deserter when he failed to show up to serve in World War I
French army sounds like my boss. Boss- hello this was a secondary contact number for mytanda. They are late and have given me no notice. I must speak with them. My mom- *sobbing quit calling me I told you their dead, they will not be showing up for work today or any other day here after Boss- well their not picking up the phone. We are short staffed today, and all their sick/vacation days are all used up. This will be a write up .. Mom- *with shocking hands slowly puts the phone up to my ear as I lie in my open casket.
Bro PLEASE keep these up omg I have been obsessed with history lately thanks to your work and also a lotta stuff from Shane, and yall have truly encouraged me to believe that if comedians were in charge of education, the U.S.would skyrocket up through the international ranks of education and could be up there with the asians
Always a good day when Chrissy comes out with the history video ... Love the history videos ! Get Louis c.k. on to talk about presidents with ya lol ...
Chris, I promise you this is THE MOVE. There is so much fun learning and laughing with these videos. Especially when you pick up on the slight references to other historical stuff related. LOVE how you open up the discussion to viewers to participate so we can become more involved in history, too. Please keep this content coming! Would love to see your perspective of women driving the war effort during WWII!
Dr. Chrissy is the type of teacher you ask for private tutoring. Yes I said Dr. Also please do The Black Plague. I'm trying to coax you into this, and without any shame. Great show as always. - Morebatteries.
These are very interesting Mate. The HMHS Britannic sunk in 1916 off the coast of Turkey as it hit a mine in WW1 (some say it was shot by a torpedo from the Germans which is controversial as it was a hospital ship which were generally not attacked). It sunk in water so shallow (400ft) that the stern of the ship was still above sea level when the bow hit the sea floor. The ship was at 1/3rd capacity when it sunk (1200) and there were 30 casualties. Unfortunately the casualties were from a lifeboat being released whilst the ships engines were in full force, leading to them being sucked into the propellers and dying a terrible death. The wreck of the ship can still be visited today.
I love the high school history class presentation vibes, I can’t help but wonder if you were able to work in bits like this when you were a kid or if a nun would smack you around. I’d love to hear about it on the pod !!!
@chrisdcomedy I'm absolutely loving this series, I've always rated your comedy but you've really stepped up your content recently and you've now got yourself a loyal fan. I'm sure you'll get your second and third fans soon too 😉 Love bruv
Love these history segments. I love learning about the details of history but dont have the attention span so sit through a boring presentation of history. So this format is perfect for me to actually learn some shit lol. Cant wait to go to thanksgiving dinner and tell everyone the titanic had two engines lol
Can we please get a Christories lesson on the Central and South American Indigenous People ? This has been such a treat to throw in my No Presh pod rotation!
Im surprised Chris didn't dive deeper into the conspiracy behind the titanic. The captain knew what he was doing, and his family was compensated very handsomely.
Chrissy pls make a video on Little Rock 9. I am sure you could single handedly boost the testing scores of a whole district with these segments. You rock!!!
Hey Chrissy Carhartts, you should do an epi wepi on Manifest Destiny. Maybe even some ancient history on the Vikings or Genghis Khan. Been a fan for a long time, keep up the great work!
The hull of the Titanic broke so easily because the steel used to build it was so cold, making the metal more brittle. Had the designer had this in mind the hull should've been thicker. Material science in 1911 wasn't advanced enough for this design to withstand this impact at the given temperature. Major Thomas Andrews L.

Guys, what the hell? Give this a 👍🏼
Are these going to be on Spotify? That would be great.
Those immigrants in 3rd class were majority white people, Chrissy....You're coming off a little racist.

More conspiracies would be great
I learned something new this morning while cleaning up the kitchen, so I’m off to a great start! Also got a new comeback “Go sink like the Titanic”.

If Chris was my AP Government or World History teacher, I probably still would’ve failed the AP exam but I would’ve had a lot more fun
You know we live in amazing times when we can get free history lessons from a world renowned historian.
