@@adambrock284 This restaurant Zauo is well known. It was absolutely the same fish. The reason it wasn't cold was because it was alive just a few minutes ago. This same restaurant has live lobster on the menu, and by that I mean you eat it while it is still alive!
I watched something that explained there are actually real people behind the robots. They are remote workers. So it makes it even funnier if someone was listening to him and gave him a side eye🤣
Love the vid Ed as ever, i can relate. I'm on my last night of 6 in Tokyo as i type. I've travelled on my own here after spending christmas in Australia from the UK and i can say it's quite a daunting place to those who wish to stay inside your comfort zone. If you're looking for a place to inspire and take you outside of said comfort zone, Tokyo is a must, you just have to throw yourself at it. The people are generally so welcoming and respectful, although i do find them to be either super sensible and introverted or the complete opposite and barely any inbetween - It's a city of calm yet chaos, tradition yet futuristic and bizarre, yet brilliant. There are so many other things to do, I took a bullet train and did a day's skiing in the mountains which was just awesome and the mount fuji day trip also allows for some tranquility. Japan has much more to offer beyond Tokyo and i can't wait to plan my next trip (I will be including Tokyo in it again!)
Crazy to see how fast your channel has grown since I first started watching you fair play not long before you started selling paintings I think it was or something before then😂
They probably put the fish in another tank and crack open a packet of value fish bits. Before returning the fish to its spot when all the customers have left.
Ed been watching since luton airport days, its amazing how far youve came. I see youve uploaded i make a tea get a blanket and watch, keep it up mate, you should have millions of subscribers, there missing out.
Been looking forward to this! My fiancés uncle lives in Tokyo, Tom Byer (big in Japanese football) I really want to visit! Looks amazing. Great video again, Ed! Love it
Hi, I have been a fan of your channel for a long time! You have inspired me to start my own channel. I have 35 subscribers currently, but I am determined to improve and gain more. I am starting to post videos of a very similar trip to yours 🎉. Anyway, keep up the great work! 🎉🎉
Yeah so many people over exaggerate Japan like it’s the most magical and perfect place in the world when in reality it’s not just like everywhere else. It is an amazing country and culture but it’s not perfect
There's no point pretending is there, also hope that if people do visit these places that perhaps they don't have to waste their money, so much better to just say what you think
This is awesome I went to Japan a few months ago and the guy who ran next to your rickshaw was my driver he’s a super nice guy so good seeing him on the video
Ed catches fish for his dinner, in Scottish Highlands, we have to catch the wild haggis running around the countryside near Inverness for our dinner.. no different really 😂
A lot of chain restaurants here have those robot waiters now, i think i depends on the restaurant layout, sometimes they are a big help, other times they just get in the way.
Been to Japan twice, Tokyo Osaka Kyoto, never had any bad food that I can think of. Did research a majority of the restaurants but also walked into some that I just went past and it was all good. The fishing restaurant sounded like a tourist trap from the get go, I'm vegetarian so I don't go to these places anyway 😂 but it's pretty obvious which activities are tourist trap and it's easy to avoid but I guess it makes entertaining content 😅 your suffer for our enjoyment 🤣
Getting close to 100K there Mr. Chapman. Good luck in 2025 buddy and I wish you success in the new year. I hope you have a happy holiday season and a happy new year!! Another EPIC video, it was pretty cool to see Japan. I highly doubt that I will ever even leave America, but you never know. On a side note, does anyone know why auto correct or the "red-line" that shows up if you spell something wrong is no longer showing up for me? Is this a browser setting or a "Google" setting? I really need it to not look stupid. 😆
I know you're probably back from Japan now, but basically if it's on rice or wrapped in nori you can eat it with your hands. No more dropping the sushi in the soy sauce.
So there's an area in Tokyo called take a shit in the street ? I like those red heart shaped Lolita sunglasses they looked good on you Ed. And as for the hat , well it covered your lovely honey blond hair. I feel like i have been to Tokyo now.
I had to stop the video and miss the end, it's totally my problem. I've watched Ed for many years and I'm happy to see *him* happy ☺️ Things like that upset me so I don't watch ✌
Yeah the touristy areas in Japan are pretty unbearable. But if you go a couple of blocks away, they're as Ed says, pretty peaceful. The rest of Japan is amazing for introverts, everyone keeps to themselves and interactions with service staff are very polite and impersonal, so you can just eat your meal or buy your stuff and get out.
Obviously, robot technology has not yet advanced sufficiently to understand a Yorkshire accent! Wherever you are this Christmas have a good one, but I wouldn't wear that hat to Spoons, (you could use it as a Christmas present for Ellis!)
A big proportion of the population are over 60 and they still want to stick to the old ways of doing things. You have to fax most of your paperwork and go to the post office to get a relevant ink stamp for paperwork or to pay bills. They were fighting to keep the squat toilets 😂 There’s a lot of great technology being created and used there though and I really hope I can visit one day ❤

Been a great series Ed, hope you are back home for Christmas
The rickshaw girl is super sweet!
And attractive! 🙂
Tbh Japanese people in general are calm and sweet
Ed catches fish has it delivered with the fish still looking at him "ive had fresher in tescos" lol
I was legit expecting him to say I need a Greggs Sausage Roll 😂
Do you really think it was the same fish?
@@adambrock284 This restaurant Zauo is well known. It was absolutely the same fish. The reason it wasn't cold was because it was alive just a few minutes ago.
This same restaurant has live lobster on the menu, and by that I mean you eat it while it is still alive!
If he's sayin yo sushi from Tesco I could understand it.. Ed I love u man but pls tell us u didn't mean that standard Tesco brand sushi 😢
love the fact ED speed ran all the tourist traps in one video haha
Oh there's 100million more. Episode 2 pls 😊
Oh god no, a youtuber in japan with a silly hat, im having flashbacks
Edd dissing the robot saying it's broke, needs new battery's doesn't work.... while the robot is giving him a weary side eye 😂
I watched something that explained there are actually real people behind the robots. They are remote workers. So it makes it even funnier if someone was listening to him and gave him a side eye🤣
Haha no this is a different place at the other side of Tokyo, didn't fancy that robot cafe, this one was purely robots hence them not working great
That rickshaw lady is so lovely. I can't wait for my trip to Japan❤
She really was 😊
been absolutely binge watching your videos recently, they’re soooo well done and entertaining. keep it up man, you’re awesome!!

Over 30 minutes!! It really is Christmas! Merry Christmas Ed! 🎄💙🎄
Absolutely howling at you trying to get the robot to stop dancing 😂😂😂 ffs
Completely fair, also u shouldn't have to poke a robot in the baps to get it to do things.
The most awkward rickshaw ride in history😂🤣
Which part haha? 😂
Hand dyer, plop, hand dryer, plop. lol! Ed you crack me up
Loving the Asia vlogs, keep it up Ron Weasley
Thanks Harry Potter
You have definitely sent it with the travel this winter. Great content cheers 👍👍🙏🇬🇧
Thank you! 😊
I loved the vlog. It looked great there Ed.
You're such a grounded and down to earth guy.
Safe travels 🥾 bud x Happy Christmas 🎄
Japan is a strange juxtaposition. Ed, you are awesome. I wish you a merry and blessed Christmas.
Thanks Simon, you too!
There is no way you went to Cambodia and Japan just to order a carbonara twice. 💀
Absolutely, Asian delicacy
You should have watched abroad in Japan before you left the uk. Chris has some really great places to visit and some great tips. Merry Christmas ed.
Crazy to see how fast your channel has grown since I first started watching you fair play not long before you started selling paintings I think it was or something before then😂
Tacky shitter!!! Absolutely brilliant as always 😂❤😂
They probably put the fish in another tank and crack open a packet of value fish bits. Before returning the fish to its spot when all the customers have left.

7:24 love this Ed. 😊🙏🏻 Ps the hat also 😂❤

Hey Ed, your Adidas sweatshirt suddenly gave me cravings for Heinz Baked Beans 😛
Never wearing it again now 😂
Ed been watching since luton airport days, its amazing how far youve came.
I see youve uploaded i make a tea get a blanket and watch, keep it up mate, you should have millions of subscribers, there missing out.

Cooking on Christmas eve while watching Ed. Happy Holidays! Thank you for the video!!! Eat KFC in Japan if you're still there
Ed dissing the robot, and it gives him side eye 🤣. I'm Really enjoying these holiday videos and honest reviews. Merry Christmas Ed.
Christ I just got total recall vibes with those 3 eyed sunglasses
The film was better as they were titties 😝
One place I've always wanted to visit, great content as ever Ed.
Ordering a Pasta dish in Japan should be a criminal offence
Proper food
Been looking forward to this! My fiancés uncle lives in Tokyo, Tom Byer (big in Japanese football) I really want to visit! Looks amazing. Great video again, Ed! Love it

mcdonolds abroad is something we've all done but no one wants to admit!
I love the hat and want a matching one. We all love you Ed🥰
Heading to a lot of places you’ve been to Ed next year . Going to Thailand , Cambodia and Japan for a bit . Anything you’d recommend ?
Ed 'the chap' Chapman; living the charmed life!
Want to trade channels? You're taking fun trips and I'm buried in lasers and printers 😭
Ed you are a legend among us for telling us how it is, unlike that trek trundy guy.
Great video, you should've tried the onsen spa experience. Not one for TH-cam but just very different to what we have in the West.
That hat!! It's so distracting lol well done Ed, love it
8:37 I think Ed just entered the DMT realm, his third eye thought it was alright, nothing special like. He's stacking shakras with dem shades
I love all of your videos Ed ❤ and that hat is awesome 😍 Ten quid for an apple though 😧
I wish you a very Happy Christmas 😘
Thank you! Merry Christmas to you too!
Nice Christmas jumper 2x👍
from takeaways in leeds that should be closed down, to the dynamic chaos of tokyo. fairplay ed... youve come a long long way my friend!
Yeah so many people over exaggerate Japan like it’s the most magical and perfect place in the world when in reality it’s not just like everywhere else. It is an amazing country and culture but it’s not perfect
Very lovely country but agree its probably a bit overhyped, worth going though
Loved this, would love to go to Japan. Love the people too. 🇯🇵 ❤
Love the fact you don't hype average experiences, just calling it like it is.
There's no point pretending is there, also hope that if people do visit these places that perhaps they don't have to waste their money, so much better to just say what you think
Always a bonus getting two singles and making a super bed one day you have two double or better and make MEGA BED 😂
Japan is like the uk of Asia…. Island nation a bit weird/eccentric good engineers 😂
'It's a clothes fridge' did it for me 😄
Ed's interaction with the robots was quite funny
This is awesome I went to Japan a few months ago and the guy who ran next to your rickshaw was my driver he’s a super nice guy so good seeing him on the video
Yeah he was lovely!
Please be a barbecue😂, that's the inner British coming out 😆, the vid slaps Ed! 🤙🤟
Would be cool if we got an Ed Chapman, Nomad Push collab whilst you're there.
Ed catches fish for his dinner, in Scottish Highlands, we have to catch the wild haggis running around the countryside near Inverness for our dinner.. no different really 😂

A burger? You could end up catching the cow you want it from
hello Ed, i've been there twice and i have to say i absolutely love it!

Another banger Nice one Ed Mate 🎉🎉
Cheers!
Was really hoping he'd get a burger eventually. I was not disappointed 😊 Well done lad 😊

Props to the hat for containing the Steve Davies fringe merry Christmas to you and your fringe
that hat is baller mate
Gracias
No one, absolutely no one:
Ed: you sure you can carry me?
It's Odd, really odd. That was the most Gordon Ramsay you've ever been. 28:58
I know you're probably back from Japan now, but basically if it's on rice or wrapped in nori you can eat it with your hands. No more dropping the sushi in the soy sauce.
Great outro.. Hope it was a unique McDonald's and not just a Big Mac
Ed the Chap Chapman, livin' a charmed life!
The robot waiters are controlled remotely by physically impaired people who are housebound... 😶
that's a different place you're thinking of that's also in Tokyo
I love Japan💖 You should go to Okinawa and compare it to mainland
So there's an area in Tokyo called take a shit in the street ? I like those red heart shaped Lolita sunglasses they looked good on you Ed. And as for the hat , well it covered your lovely honey blond hair. I feel like i have been to Tokyo now.
Please, please do another video in the Japan countryside so we can see the difference.
I want a t shirt with "bog standard toilet " on it.
Bros choice of hat in Japan while talking about trees is diabolical
The robot is called pepper .. we had one in our office it's dumb as box of rocks but it's very old 5-6 years old
what do you call a sunburnt snowman
a puddle
what's black and white and red all over?
@@shornoMALONEY Penguin with a pocket-knife?
Im not sure I could catch my own fish for sushi. You're braver than me Ed 😂 loved the end of the night Maccies haha
I had to stop the video and miss the end, it's totally my problem.
I've watched Ed for many years and I'm happy to see *him* happy ☺️
Things like that upset me so I don't watch ✌
How do you go to Tokyo and not show off Don Quijote
Man, Tokyo looks so good!
😂the ending. Beilliant
I love the hat ❤
1:56 iv seen them robot things in Ireland in the Jasmine Palace limerick they wear moveing dirty dishes around the place and just getting in the way
I love Tokyo. I just came back after 2 weeks and man it’s a great city
Hahaha😂 that burger in the end must have taste very good😁🍔
It certainly did
Oh god, those crowded streets seem like a nightmare for introverts. I was already VERY ANNOYED bumping into people at Hamburg Hbf.

That restaurant must be terrible if you've had better in the UK because most of our sushi is dog compared to what I had in Japan
Congratulations on choosing a hat that a supermodel would wear if they didn’t want anyone to even look at them.
Obviously, robot technology has not yet advanced sufficiently to understand a Yorkshire accent! Wherever you are this Christmas have a good one, but I wouldn't wear that hat to Spoons, (you could use it as a Christmas present for Ellis!)
Gives me the fear with the way Ed eats an apple
One tip for Japan - get out of Tokyo! ;) (from a Brit who used to live there)
I wish I had enough time to go elsewhere, but gives me a reason to go back next year!
@ Hope you make it back!
Liking the video before finish watching it 😆😆😆
Tokyo was futuristic compared to somewhere in the UK back in like 2000, by a long long way. But not really now.
