One suggestion: turn off the Google Maps, and just randomly walk & explore, relax & rest often. You will have more fun that way, I think. I did my world travelling in the days before Google Maps and the Internet, for which I am pretty grateful.
Remember, too, that you can never be lost, if you do not really care where you are at the moment, and if you do not have be anywhere specific, nor meet up with anyone, at any particular time... lol. :) In a big city like Bangkok (or Paris, or London, or Tokyo, for that matter), if you pick any random direction and walk, you will eventually find something interesting to see, something good to eat, and some way to travel back home or go somewhere else.
Love this advice! Will definitely do this when I go back. I feel like I was too caught up on filming everything that I didn’t get the chance to truly enjoy the place.
I love drinking coffee and I’ll try looking for local coffee shops there next time 😊 I feel like I missed good local coffee/tea shops at Chinatown because I was too focused on filming and not getting hit by a car 😅
Yes, it is certainly not good to get hit by a car (or motorbike or bus or truck or tuk tuk).
With that in mind, I would say that it is probably smarter to NOT be filming or using phone apps, while crossing any streets. There are a lot of people, every day, who get into serious & unnecessary accidents because they are distracted by their gadgets.

Haha I want to believe you but I’m honestly shocked myself too! 😂😂 I always commuted by BTS or buses around (even to Chao Phraya boats near Icon Siam) and just caught a glimpse of Yaowarat when riding a taxi but never stepped foot in it.
I grew up hating crowded places and preferred staying at home and reading books, so this video was really challenging to film with the crowds and traffic.
There’s a first time for everything, even if it may seem unbelievable to you 😊
@@jamrellb , I first lived in Bangkok as a teenager from 1971 to 1975, my two favorite hangout place were Siam Square, ( 3 movie theaters), and YAOWARAT. Also Chinese books stores. I am sorry being too harsh on my comments, that I apologized. I am sorry.
