Have fun with the 570 quirks… went from one of the most reliable sports cars to one of the least. When I bought extended warranty’s for my R8 and my RS3, the R8 was cheaper. I asked why and was told, “R8 is more reliable.” I’ve put 36k miles on mine and haven’t had a single issue. It’s been the most reliable super car ive owned even more so than the Porsche’s i’ve owned.
Funny, I went from a 570s to an R8. Good luck youtuber, you're gonna need it. That thing spent more time in the shop than being driven, and I put 14k miles on it.
@@goldenbanana5079 Yep, I actually was deciding between a 570s and R8 V10 Plus, and while I thought the 570s looked better and gave me more of that "little kid in a toy shop" feeling that we look for in supercars, I knew how unreliable McLaren's are and it put me off a lot. The fact it only has a V8 vs the R8's V10 sealed the deal for me, but even if it had a V10 I probably still would have gone for the R8 because of reliability. No issues with mine after almost two years of ownership.
if you had any mechanical inclination and got off your ass and picked up a wrench, or if you payed a skilled tech, then you should know that its irelevant what vehicle you own, build your platform or get left behind

When I skipped to the "cons" section of the video expecting a bunch of valid criticisms, and it ended up JUST being about how Apple car play isn't well optimised, I was like damn this guy is way too picky. This video's probably a better advertisement for getting an R8 than anything I've seen haha.

the r8 v10 plus is my absolute favourite car and always will be. So me personally find it as a terrorism act to sell it, i mean when i read the title i almost started crying, but when i checked its replacement i gotta say, that yellow beast gonna be fire, so congrats 🔥

The damage from repairing the dash makes a lot of sense to me. I dismantle for work and the way they over engineered every single thing on it, you gotta take apart a million other things to get to the actual part youre fixing. They really took everything that has been working just fine forever in every other car, and changed it up and made it as difficult as possible. That way they can get more money out of you for labor time. Plus expensive cars seem to be slapped together as cheap as possible. Almost backwards of how it should be. I drive a 97 suburban because they used to put care into vehicles and make them actually last
R8 is a middle between supercar and discrete , its rare to see but also relatively cheap compared to similarly speced lambos, which are screamind atention

Mk1 v8 is our garage queen lol 😂 we waiting for all the salt and snow ❄️ clear then a nice weekend drive to nowhere special just to hear the motor 😊 maybe a v10 in be day and I am sad 😢 no more r8 or tt but yes to the gti lol one of the last manual cars I would actually buy 🫡
Mclarens are like tesla's when it comes to fit and finish. Also v10 vs 3.8L v8 LOL. TERRIBLE decision. I would have kept the v10. Definitely more desirable in the long run.

I honestly feel that these are not solid reasons to have sold the R8, even Audi took responsibility to replace or fix items that they damaged. 🤔
The main reason I sold it is because after test driving the McLaren, I felt it's a better fit for me. But the issues with the R8 definitely made it easier to move on from. With that said, I will absolutely own another R8 and/or a Lamborghini Huracan in the future. It's a fantastic all around car.
Audi didn't do anything the DEALER fussed up and looked after the issues.
@@johncorbett3109 Agreed. No hard feelings with Audi USA or the dealership. With that said, if I do own another Audi in the future, I will not service it at that dealership.

Not much at all haha. Enough for a small backpack behind each seat. Of course there are only two seats, so you may have to choose which person to take with you lol!

The space behind the seat is shaped and set up perfectly for a golf bag.
I've owned both R8 V10 Plus and 570s. Both have their pros and cons. Overall R8 is a better car and much more reliable.

Yes! The official color name is camouflage green matte - it is a factory color but pretty rare.

I argued with a lady some years ago about the navigation unit in an Aston Martin. She felt that it was sub par. I told her that NOBODY buys an AM and worries about the Nav. Any new car is going to need an update within a year or so anyway. It’s a goddam Aston Martin. Complaining about the car play in this beast is inane.

Ive had my 2020 R8 for 3 years now. It is my daily in the summer. There is no other supercar that you can drive everyday comfortably. The only thing Id replace it with is a 2023 just so I can have it longer because mine has 20k miles. I don’t care about the screen. I didnt get the car for that crap 😂
What about a 911? I was driving a 992 991, dailying it for about a week and loved it. Have you tried that? I'm curious to know the comparison

None of these complaints are actually deterrents to sell the car buddy. Screaming v10 sitting right behind you and the handling is all that matters

I'm not a Audi fan but really this is a "practical" supercar. It seems overpriced compared to Italian supercars and american wannabes. But Audi just makes it work with no compromised.

570 is one of the worst cars out there camakat got one didn’t do anything to it and it stayed broken and also died without a battery charger I hear everyone that has one has a nightmare w it good luck

When you look at the paint up close, you can tell that it is paint. But people assumed that it was a wrap because they have never seen that color on an Audi before.
