- Played a game in the Kamikaze that I decided to go through and explain, to show what people did wrong / right and why I made the choices I did. Both teams thought the game was done, as did my chat, but looks can be deceiving.

I run thrue bronze ligue in 3 days bearly playing with Agincourt & Sciroco and now I am at qualyfy round -_- that crap sucks !!! , WG should better made 5 ligues :

... but without qualyfy round , because that crap is just no fun , I have spend yesterday and today geting stars loosing stars , I had 6-6-6 streak = 6 times I earned 3 stars and I have lost 3 stars in a row , and then 6 times I saved stars , issue was I had no stars -_- , I want to have fun playing game , and me spending like 20 battles basically going nowhere in limbo stage just dont make me spend cash on game , and steel make game more fun = more players will get that easyer from ranked they will spend more cash on game ... this is a wife rule , you spend cash on your wife , she will make you happy ...

I powered through rank with the Hill (and the Nicholas for when I derped) in a few hours the first night. I'm kinda sad I can't keep playing bronze, it was actually fun.
And now imagine "just a CV" in this game and all the "stealthy tactics" goes puff.
Sad but true, CVs flatten the tactical depth of the game to a puddle. One of the many reasons good players hate them.
@@Flamuu I'd love for them to have a place in the game. Unfortunately, WeeGee's warped sense of priorities doesn't seem to include making a good game. Just a money funnel from our pockets to their pockets.

So much revenue has been lost to their infinite stupidity.
Even with a DD you easy outplay a cv player, unless it's a cv player with brains. because I won my last battle thanks to a cv player teamed up with me and spotted the enemy ship constantly so I could torp him from a distance... But they changed the I.J.N. Fubuki somehow don't know retry tomorrow .
Or you set up a no fly zone group of three ships its possible to eliminate the best cv, cant get in....or at least united states, but the snag is distance, the other ships can use the no fly flank to advance away from, now add a few radars with hydro to counter the dd threat to the no fly flank......you want to get spotted by the cv in a position of strength......a cv using distance will have less damage potential, so tge no fly moves faster assuming their surface ship is hanging back as backup, if its turn around supports a close or brave cv then the no fly zone ships can maneuver slower to bleed the planes into dust faster

+1 flamu is the best at giving commands, probably the only player I would listen to in-game.
This is why I love it when Flambass and Flamu play DDs: just scary mythical and calculating gameplay. I've always maintained that Jingles brought me to this game but Flamu taught me how to play. One hell of a match, dude.
To paraphrase a funny speaking dude, "You think WOWS is Jingle's ally, but he was merely adopted by it. Flamu and Flambass were born in WOWS, moulded by it."

this and the suicide/time/rush mindset, which flamu mentioned are the problems in every ranked match.
last season i played my last battle with a guy who suicided his bourgogne for no reason - we had 2 caps. and was blaming me for it. i checked his stats, which were not bad, except his win rate was
@@jaqenhghar9758 much easier to blame the team instead of thinking it was something he may have done wrong or what have you. Sadly an all too common reaction for many.
As a DD main, this has been some of your best content I've seen in half a year. It's analytical, objective, useful and entertaining. 👍
tier V is so balanced indeed if there was a radar cruiser dds would not dare to cap
tiers 9 and 10 feature the worst gameplay that WoW offers funny enough in my opinion. endless planes, radars, endless homing torps, machine gun HE, and super ships have seen to that.
im not a fan of tiers 3 and 4 either because i find it complete bullshit that ships at that tier can literally have no AA but still go against CVs so my sweet spot is usually tier 6

@@zacharyjackson1829 Tier 9 and 10 intentionally have the worst gameplay. WeeGee made it that way to try and push people into playing lower tier ships.
@@psychologicaltirefire8190 I doubt it was "intentional" considering they designed the entire research bureau to give you only tier 9 and 10 ships. Also like 90% of their premium ships sells are reliant on ships tier 8 and up.
That's the ironic thing. Below Tier VII is where reality sits. Just about every ship from Tier I-Tier VI were real ships, meaning absolutely 0 paper ships. It's only at tier VII that they start slipping in, Tier VIII that they start becoming prolific, Tier IX when it's a joke, Tier X when that joke has grown old, and Super Tier when reality sets in and we all realize that WG actually know absolutely nothing about WWII naval warfare.

I see the community supports replay analysis, and im with them, i cannot emphasize how useful these types of videos are for improving tought processes and tactics in battles. With that being said, i'd love to see more of this content

Excellent gameplay sir, I play the Blitz version of this game and a huge amount of what you say can be translated to that version of the game, also the amount of potatoes on Blitz are roughly similar

i miss these content so much, Flamu sit down and give commetary to replay. Analyzing and explaining his move to viewer, i miss that Flamu saying "hello, Hello!" at the start of every videos. You should do this occasionally, Flolo. These video teach us, or for myself. How to think and make strategy in this game, play this game better.
First year into this game, i was just a potato at sub 40% winrate, but after watching your commentary learn how to play and think, i'm atleast play better now. Improve myself to 50%+.

I miss vour videos like this. A great break down of the game. I've been playing this game since 2017, but I still learned a lot form this video.
My clan is a fairly casual group, and one of our biggest areas for improvement in Clan Battles is forgetting that we've got 20mins and we don't have to win the round in the first 5. By following the same advice and by not rushing, taking our time to get into good positions, assess the enemy positions and coordinate targets, we tend to perform much better. Really good analysis, this is for me the best kind of content Flamu produces. Sure calling out WG stupidity is important, but leveraging his huge knowledge and understanding the game to help players improve is something I really like.
This analysis shows the strategic potential of wows and it's great for low rank players to understand the depth of the game that isn't obvious in lower tiers
with CV in game this whole masterpiece would just blow out in a loss.... that is why we hate CVs (and subs); funny (and sad) that cyclone vision of CV planes would make it much more bearable... the mechanics is there, just apply it to planes..... but WG is so stubborn actively trying to sink this game

As a DD main myself I was seriously impressed with your quick decision making, something you seriously need to main DDs however this was an epic example of first class DD play even though "kamikaze". WP and great tutorial for all budding DD mains of which their are very few.

Flamu, you are expecting something too difficult (such as analytic thinking, planning ahead, etc.) from a Wargambling player base, which has in its mind only one thing: "sail some boat and shoot at some other boats".
Top, top masterclass. Thanks for that. I play DDs in ranked, almost exclusively. You set the pace with the DD, and you can make up for the potatoes. Thanks for this lecture... it's golden.

I'm just an average player, having 52%wr and comparing myself in some battles to other players, I see that I understand a thing of two.
But mate, you are monster! Just analysing this battle, saying what things are good, what are wrong is just amazing to see and they are really eye openers for us who just want to become bit better.

52% is equal to grand master in chess. the amount of bots and 41% idiots in this game have made it unplayable.start a random and check all 24 players at the end. at least 16 will be under 50, and at least 10 unde 40. how is that even possible?besides idiots, you have to play with cvs and subs. so the reasonable way to do it is start the game, realize what you're dealing with, suicide, close the game, move on to something else. repeat next day! untill you finally find the courage to delete de game

Well played sir, And I understand what you are saying. And not only patience but a lot of people tread this game as a single player game. they do not tread it as a multiplayer game. Also this was for me an eye opener, time very important tool in wows and even I tend to forget that !!
This is a brutal, clever and perfect masterclass. However, it has to be noted that you’re on a Kamikaze. Probably in the top 3 of most OP ships tier by tier of all WoWs. Most of us don’t own it, and probably you couldn’t have achieved all this torpedo spam on another DD. Still you’re TOP and you teach really well. GG
His choice of ship is worth noting but I don't think it was what determined the win. Even if he had gone with the Nicholas in this fight he had ample opportunities to just smoke up and farm the battleships with great fire starting and still have torps to deal with the kirov given he had that island at B to use for cover

Excellent review which sums up ranked tier5. I qualified for silver with 35% winrate thanks to the Kamikaze I lost only 3 stars.
My man's putting more thoughts into one game of WoWs than most players do in 10.000 of them.

24 mins in was waiting for the comment of not going in the B cap so not to give position away. He wasn’t 100% sure where you were so if you had stepped in to cap he could have dodged the torps.

Keep in mind that the kamikaze R is one of the only ships that could comeback like this from such an "obvious loss". It's like a tier8-9 ship(in all its positives) playing at tier5

it should be mentioned too, when the Oklahoma did the yolo run into the A cap, with the torp DD on position for cross firing, better said cross *torping*, these yolo BB can and will block the route of the torpedoes, so these yolo BB are not just wasting their own ship, but they are protecting on top the enemy ships!
Very good game analysis and should be helpful for my own Kamikaze play.
Just think how much "enjoyment" would be added with a more DIVERSE set of ships including a delightful CV and exciting submarine game play action.

DDs are the "Thinking man" part of the "Thinking man's game" because ive only seen god tier IQ plays be made from DDs, this video shows god tier IQ DD plays with the gun baiting on the Kirov and the mind games of flooding areas with torps against BBs, sadly, game modes that exclude subs and CVs are the only places where these plays can be made, since CVs and subs can just demolish any and all strategies that wouldve been made
Interesting analysis post-game. I think my primary take away from this review is "time" and using it as a resource. As a mediocre player I often find myself of the mindset that time is limited; perhaps from being in several games that ended within 5 minutes. The mentality of "rush" and "Speed" and limited time is something I certainly need to try to break. At my present state of experience and knowledge, I find that even 15 minutes goes by far too quickly, and I often get lost in the small moments, as opposed to seeing the "bigger picture" of the entire game time frame. Really need to adopt this more "calm" and reserved approach to the game.
Thanks, very valuable. Just one comment regarding the shooting when about to break LOS: In a torpedo boat, only do that if the enemy knows where you are anyway. Otherwise you will give away your position and your torps will likely miss or you might trigger a radar.

The main problem with potatoes in rank, they play like it's random, pfew pfew to score XP and kills. Disregarding the fact only victory counts. They don't teamplay, they play the selfish random mode. They don"t consider if your team mates die, you lose !!! In rank Tanks have to tank spotters have to spot and damage dealers have to secure kills. BTW nice wedding picture, Ms flamu looks awesome !! Congrats !

Good explanation but the last smoke to shoot at him gave him a chance to blind fire. You could have been more safe but i am just being picky for this monster carry game. WP

I think something that everyone forgets about Tier 4, 5, and 6 is that BB's are the tanks and CC's bring the dakka. Only the most acutely aware and sensible WOWS players are going to forego blasting at a BB and shoot at a cruiser if the two are parked up next to each other. Why? BB's are easier to hit with some of the absolute s**t guns of those tiers. The kind of guns that if they were any more cross-eyed you'd be shooting yourself. If you're flinging those at a BB, at least 1 of them is going to hit. If you're yeeting them at a CC or heaven forbid a DD, then at least 1 of them will get menacingly close to making a slash on their side.
But CC's just need to roll with the BB's and BB's need to target priority CC's and DD's. BB's are easy targets and with the exception of the Kongo are unable to maneuver fast enough to dodge well placed torpedoes. So keep the DD's and CC's alive, BB's have heals, but have the DD's sneak and sabotage, CC's start blasting, and BB's tank shells and walk quietly with very big sticks.
Good guy Flolo calling out potato gameplay with teammates and providing valuable feedback at the end of the battle to them once they apologize they were wrong. Randoms would never lol
Playing bronze with Königsberg, which actually worked great I noticed many times, that people don't understand when the team is winning, and how you have to play cruisers and Königsberg especially.
I always got into a position behind an island close in, sometimes for a good few minutes to dump DDs or wait for BBs to get close, then normally, I then started kiting, as Königsberg is just best at that in open waters (and dies if you do anything else as we all know). Many people ranted in chat about me, because "I did not play with them" but in the end I bareley lost any stars in bronze, only when Königsberg was just Königsberg and the enemy was just better.
I still don't know why people would play cruisers in this mode. I played Rio De Janeiro almost exclusively while occasionally playing October Revolution. Generally I just kept the HE loaded in Rio and nuked spotted DDs. Hell you can HE-citadel-dev strike cruisers at this tier with the Rio.
Cruisers in T5 are pretty powerful. Cruisers in T10 rooms, on the other hand, are just a punching bag for any other classes, especially BBs with all those overmatches.
@@DixxyV what? did you mix up the tiers? T10 cruisers are really good; their utility is insanely valuable, and their dpm is often crazy high. T5 cruisers get overmatched everywhere - often even by other cruisers. You're just a punching bag in a cruiser.

This exact thing drives me most nuts the most in game, people not understanding that you don't need to cap/ contest caps from the off to be doing your job as a dd. Kleber is my favourite/ most enjoyable ship and the amount of ignorance I see regarding it in game is unreal. People expecting you to contest caps and then cussing you out because you don't blind rush and contest from the start in a game when the enemy has Shimas, a Daring and a Groningen. Being fast and having good guns and a reload booster counts for nothing when the enemy dd can just smoke to disengage and leave you spotted after firing for every ship behind to be farmed by at close range.
This is driven by a real experience from a BB who said he plays Kleber and it's an "excellent cap contester in the first minutes of a game" and proceeded to flood the chat with utter nonsense about me, whilst I sat at 13km range (outside enemy secondary range), picked up 200k on a triple Kurfurst platoon supporting the enemy shima he did nothing but moan about me not rushing a shima with triple german bb support... when the trip Kurfurst were dead I pushed the Shima and hunted him down leaving my team to cap behind me. I'm not a great player, probably above average maybe, but some peoples ignorance is just baffling and infuriating

I find if I push into a cap at the start I get spotted and killed or lose most of my hp. It is rare in randoms that I get support enough to kill the enemy DD without losing too much myself. So, I stay back and let the enemy focus elsewhere and tunnel vision on their other targets then I either cap or stealth torp.

First rank game in my Kami r got 3 kills one of them was their t22 . He didn't stop shooting when smoked up then even bad guns hit hard. Kami is somewhat op bud i love it. 😃😃

Funny how the mindset of the player of this game goes, at lower tiers with literally glass cruisers players play them aggressively but at higher tiers with more tankie cruisers they literally hug the corners of the map
