This is how a calisthenics park should look like. It has everything. Rings, straight bars, parallel bars, boxes. And multiple versions of each. Really impressive. I love the nordic curl station as well.
I’m not sure where you live, but in Illinois we have some of these parks, and if you search on the web and type In calisthenics park, you may find that there are some near you.
This is such a well thought out area it's crazy. That nordic curl/back extension spot was the icing on the cake. Great video, Alan, it's cool seeing you expand in even more cool ways.
that slanted box with the metal foot hold is used for back extension. then facing the other side of it the metal hold is used for GHD where your knees are on the floor of the workout area. Also the edge of that slanted box you can use for crunch holds. Doing a single leg squat with the bent leg on the back of the rails and and the rings for support is a different type of stability beast.
pretty cool park. i have some rings installed at home and they are my favorite piece of training gear. you can do sooo much regarding upper body, i love it. also, nordic ham curls are just evil, man. a friend of mine has a setup where you can get almost all the way down. it really is more of a torture device than anything else.
Great workout and another great video! I think what really sells it for me is the wearing of the turkey hat without any mention or acknowledgement of the turkey hat
I took my rings and chest expander on international travel and was able to use them at a public park. I threw my rings on the swing set snd got to work. I need to learn those curls and tricep movements to be able to target arms better.
They have this same Calisthenics park all over the country it was part of Michelle Obama Healthy Campaign I believe. I used the one in San Francisco it was just like that. The metal and chain rings are brutal and feel way harder than my wooden and fabric rings. I wish they had a better dip station there and some of the rings are kinda weird I wouldn't have designed it exactly like that but they are still very cool. In busy city like SF a bunch of guys were showing off doing handstands there and kinda a spot for the Calisthenics culture.
Yooo I have an outdoor gym that is legit identical to this setup in my town. I live on the east coast tho so these must be all over the country. I love jogging to the park and doing push ups and pull ups to mix it up from the normal barbell stuff I typically do.
I think Vince Gironda invented the dip bars where start off narrow from the bass and then go extremely wide You would see pictures of Larry Scott and many others in his gym doing dips facing outwards and with is dips facing inwards
You can widen the stance on the initial squat to keep your feet grounded and that will make more room for your core, and your hands to get into position. Looks good tho
I do concrete work for a living and our crew poured the slab for one of these fitness parks in one of our local towns. I guess that means I'm one of the first people to work out there. 😂
They have those things out by you as well? Those popped up in my area all the exact same design and paint job. I've yet to see anyone use them either, I think part of the reason is instead of putting them in the shaded part of the park they're out where they get blasted by the sun all day so everything is likely too hot to even touch.
I have one of these parks near me and while I appreciate it... just wish the U.S. had legit calisthenics parks and not all this old person stuff. Plus all the metal on these parks is coated with weird paint and the diameter of everything is just uncomfortable. That + the paint texture always immediately hurts my joints.
Also the ones by my home have no shade, they had the brilliant idea to put them in spots that get blasted by the sun all day. I've thought of stopping by with an infrared thermometer to see just how hot the surfaces get on a summer day.
There is one of these setups at my local park, I don’t feel any of the bars are good for dips. As he said, one set was too wide, and the other was too close to the wall.
Alan there's a turkey on your head
Thank you, I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed!
I’m lucky I still remember to train untamed without the reminder this time.
Duddddde it slipppppppin' bro!
To be fair, he tells you to ALWAYS remember, so if he told you once he told you a thousand times.
YES ALAN LETS GO 💪

I really don't like the color though looks like it should be a pool or something.

What I love about headgear is that it instantly makes you look more intelligent and sophisticated.

Wish we had stuff like this in the UK, great watch.
There are some in the Netherlands. Weather makes it challenging though
@@TCA17 the swim across the channel is a great warm up I suppose!
I wish these kinds of outdoor gyms were more commonplace, they could even build a roof for the weather
They have the same setup at Belle Isle in Detroit! It's a staple for my kids and me during the Summer and spring

Nice, my town has one of these free outdoor gyms also. Same exact setup.
Same in a few towns near me, they must be prefab as they are identical to this down to the color and lettering.
Great workout and another great video! I think what really sells it for me is the wearing of the turkey hat without any mention or acknowledgement of the turkey hat
Facing the opposite side of the V shaped dip bars is not a common knowledge, that is a great advice
Nice hat
I'm in Folsom and had no clue this was in Roseville!
Is the prison there getting you blue?
18:53 What a nice guy! The first thing you think of is your gym members 💪

Guess I’m gonna train Tamed today, since I wasn’t told any better at the end of this video.
WE WILL DO UP-DOWNS UNTIL BLUE IS NO LONGER TIRED...OR THIRSTY.
Lmao

No train untamed? Times have changed
I just wanted to rhyme lol. Happy thanksgiving
What a great fitness park! First time I saw an alternating grip pull up, nice
That is fantastic outdoor set up!
Is that paid for by the city?

Yeah they've popped up in the midwest.
I just came from the gym. Perfect timing

Great video! What is the chalk Alan is using? Like chalk on a stick? Thanks!
Good morning way to turn up 🔥🍁
There’s one of these near my house! Right behind the library. My kids call it the “workout playground.”
the one thing that makes me uncomfortable about this park is the small ledge for the feet. it feels like it could slip out of them
Great video!
Awesome workout!
There is one of these in downtown sac. I used to workout there several times a week on my work lunch
We have one of these in Beaver County, PA too
You can widen the stance on the initial squat to keep your feet grounded and that will make more room for your core, and your hands to get into position.
Looks good tho
ive worked out at that park! nice stuff
Dude that little gym is sick
I dont even listen to anything youre saying cause that chicken hat is getting all my attention
That turkey was flexing his beard on you since you shaved yours.
6:00 i got the GoRuck weight vest, it's beast
So just picked up Hoss Project. Did you do a video over the summer where you incorporated more running? I looked back can’t find it
Nice shout out to Daniel at Fitness FAQ

Cool hat.
Alan were you fasted? Nice hat and session
That Bubba Gump moment with wide pushups, narrow pushups, one-arm pushups.... and that`s pretty much all the pushups there are!
Looks like the same people who constructed the gym im Boulder Colorado made this one as well.
Hey Alan. My son just graduated bootcamp. What are some good shoes he can bring back with him for running and everything else?
brutal! cool place
That’s one hell of a park
I've just been discharged from hospital after attempting those burpees
Hey, you’re in my city!
alan can you do a review of my name jeff meme compilation please
Wothis gym is super cool
🔥🎸🔥

Why not do dips on one of the four dip bars?
There is one of these setups at my local park, I don’t feel any of the bars are good for dips. As he said, one set was too wide, and the other was too close to the wall.
those dip bars suck
Are we not gonna address that bad ass hat? I need to know a source for it!

Really enjoyed this goruck advertisement
For the algorithm
untamed calisthenics
Age 47 and I'm doing way more Calisthenics and less bar bell and feel much better.
Age 46 yeah buddy. I got some Olympic rings and have started doing bodyweight rows and pushups. Fun stuff. Might come back to some barbell work later.
WOW, random FitnessFAQs jumpscare! Please put a warning next time.
Are you in Boulder???
Judging by the big welcome to Roseville sign I'm gonna say no
Yeah I'm thinking Caporal@@benjaminroberts1496
I'm sad because I'm too early to tell anyone commenting "first" to shut up
shut up
First!
That's an awesome park!
