For me, Floor is by far the best choice for Nightwish. The reason for this is that Floor sings with incredible versatility. There are very, very few singers in the world who are as extremely versatile as this woman. But that doesn't mean that I automatically think Tarja or Anette are bad singers. Absolutely not, its just the fact that they doesn't manage to fill the range like Floor. Floor Jansen is unique and a phenomenon. It can hardly be described in words, you just feel it. And as an added bonus, she is also extremely likeable and warm-hearted as a human being. Simply a perfect mix.

There are singers who are better on technique, like Simone Simons and Dianne von Giersbergen, but the most important thing by far is the ability to emotionally connect with an audience. Because if we extrapolate that question to "I want" would it be listening to her sing opera? or listen to her sing only gutturals?
That is why it is incomprehensible when many "fans" shout "they are wasting their voice" and that contrasts with Floor's own opinion when she says that "this album, and some songs, was quite challenging vocally" so that understand with that? that "fans" don't know what they listen to or have "selective" listening and aren't able to understand the "everything" about what Nichtwish presents on stage and on their albums.

Anette was chosen from over 2000 auditions by Nightwish. They wanted her. She wasn't let go because she was a bad singer. Nightwish singers are professionals. They know their strenght and weaknesses. They (Anette and Tarja ) don't deserve all these amateur judges to judge them after years and years they are gone from the band. Nightwish's fanbase online is sad because it's divided by which singer one prefers. That is disrespecting the band because the band chose them all.
Experts on the comments section sure know what's best for Nightwish and they have a burning need to express their "criticism" whenever an opportunity comes. "Army" also likes to dictate reactions. There are wrong versions of Nightwish songs. 👀 It's quite embarrassing..Contrary to the popular believe Nightwish isn't about the perfect performance. (Tuomas said so and it makes sense since they are humans) I don't care if Anette fucked up some performances and whatnots. She-on her own part-kept my favorite band going for five years and it wasn't an easy job.For that alone she has deserved my respect as a Nightwish singer and that is far more important than some live performances that people are "criticizing" her for.
