The show is actually funny and there's no laugh track. Meanwhile some shows can have unfunny script and have laugh tracks on it like it's profoundly funny. Sad that this was cancelled but the writing was terrible. They didn't use Andy well. Andy is funny as hell and they gave him a really boring character and bad setting and unfunny supporting actors. Sad that such a treasure like Andy didn't get a proper sitcom. But glad that he got some good roles in movies.
I don't agree that the writing was terrible but I respect your opinion. The show was created by Victor Fresco, who wrote for a few other shows I enjoy such as Dinosaurs, My Name Is Earl, and Better Off Ted. I guess he just has a sense of humor I find funny, but given all of his shows are cancelled very quick, I must be in the minority. Recently he made Santa Clarita Diet, which didn't click with me.
I think these two just wanted an excuse to hang out outside of Conan's show... and get paid for it XD
