@some lǝᴉuɐp guy exactly. RCTs dont deserve the right to use USMC terminology to that extent so they address men and women like civilians would. everything is earned. 👊🏻
I do think it's weird how you Address you Training Staff as "Sir/Ma'am" when they are not Commissioned Officers. Here in New Zealand we address everyone below a NCO "Non Commissoned Officer" as their Rank. All above a CO "Commissioned Officer" get addressed as "Sir/Ma'am".
UNSC INFINITY well for all intents and purposes during recruit training recruits are to address all Marines/Sailors they encounter as Sir/ma'am until they pass the Crucible and become Marines themselves. After they become Marines they address enlisted by thier rank and Commissioned Officers with sir/ma'am. It makes it a lot less confusing in an already confusing environment
US Marine recruits address their drill instructors and other Marines in the formal way officers used to be addressed at all times in the old days. It was a training device. While officers are rarely addressed so formally any more, certain traditions do not go away.
It's a hazing process. You don't rate to address anyone by their ranks because you're not a Marine yet. As a recruit you're lower than dirt so you address everyone as Sir or Ma'am. Once you earn the title Marine, then you can address other Marines by their ranks. On the practical side, it conditions new boots so they won't fail to address an officer as 'Sir'.
I can't speak to the entire US Military, but in the Marine Corps, they apply "Stomp your ass into a stain and break and take your country" training. In all seriousness, of course not, they don't do that in basic, but they do a form of that in specialized training. Marines get that training in real life though and all over the world where people aren't trying to avoid shooting you, but are actually trying to kill you. If you know someone isn't trying to shoot you, you're not going to be very afraid. Marine Corps training is 50% physical and 50% mental.
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!" N-no... No, but seriously, I wonder how much guessing goes in on trying to understand the DIs. Maybe it's the video/audio quality but I couldn't understand a single thing the DI was saying.

Why do they yell wouldn’t be easier to just talk nicley I don’t understand the use of yelling can someone explain! I don’t think yelling would change anything in me personally
Yelling is for many purposes. As a recruit, you’re trained to do everything with speed and intensity. The Drill Instructors will scream to create that “fog of war” mindset. They need to get their recruits used to being under pressure and making decisions while undertaking those levels of stress.
@@mario6279 Well good for you then you should understand what the yelling is for then but alot of those that enter boot camp aren’t used to being under stress and pressure and as a marine you have to be used to it because in a combat situation you gotta think fast and make decisions especially when the lives of your buddies are at risk.

Makes me cringe that the Corps call enlisted “sir”
tokyosmash They make recruits do that to establish chain of command. They tell the recruits to call the enlisted by rank at graduation.
@some lǝᴉuɐp guy exactly. RCTs dont deserve the right to use USMC terminology to that extent so they address men and women like civilians would. everything is earned. 👊🏻
Seems like he could be more gentle. He is scaring these boys to death. I would have wet my pants.
“20 pack ultra thick condoms”..... YES MAAM!

Because it's Tuesday and not Monday.
What’s up with the lady in the blue jacket? Why isn’t she in uniform. Probably a dumb question I don’t know
Eyes straight ahead maggot. Your going green today.
@Samuel Alvarez-Galan I laugh about it today but MCRD San Diego in 1972 it wasn't funny to me at all. :)
this randomly popped up on my home screen thats us lmao Plt 1014
The US Army is the same with NCO's addressed by rank, and officer's by Sir/Ma'am.
UNSC INFINITY in training you're a recruit and refer to everyone as sir/ma'am. In mct you're a marine and can refer to other marines as their rank.
How do you know whay size to grab?
I wondered the same thing, no way the uniforms can be one size fit all.
Voice crack 😂😂
Drill SGT = Ruin your vocal cords forever
The worst part of basic training was reception! Horrible torture! Embrace the suck if your goin there 🤣😂😎
When does the rectal and prostate exams take place?
You don't need one to enlist, to be discharged, that's another story. At least it was 40 years ago.
Sounds like you want to do it 😉 😉😉😉😉?

6 time i'm fail to join in indonesian marines. I think very easy to join US military
LOL. Yes, the Indonesian Marines are so legendary. LOL!!!!!!
In the US military, did they apply Dopper training
I can't speak to the entire US Military, but in the Marine Corps, they apply "Stomp your ass into a stain and break and take your country" training. In all seriousness, of course not, they don't do that in basic, but they do a form of that in specialized training. Marines get that training in real life though and all over the world where people aren't trying to avoid shooting you, but are actually trying to kill you. If you know someone isn't trying to shoot you, you're not going to be very afraid. Marine Corps training is 50% physical and 50% mental.
"DO YOU UNDERSTAND ME!"
N-no...
No, but seriously, I wonder how much guessing goes in on trying to understand the DIs. Maybe it's the video/audio quality but I couldn't understand a single thing the DI was saying.
It's not the video quality... It really is that hard to hear and yes, it's a lot of guessing the first two weeks.
He wouldve been a good lead singer for a death metal band.
I wanted to be a soldier so bad but because i got a tattoo in a visible area, i was disqualified. I even wanted to be infantry, and this was in 2004

Why do they yell wouldn’t be easier to just talk nicley I don’t understand the use of yelling can someone explain! I don’t think yelling would change anything in me personally
It doesn't. Though men are more stoic.
Yelling is for many purposes. As a recruit, you’re trained to do everything with speed and intensity. The Drill Instructors will scream to create that “fog of war” mindset. They need to get their recruits used to being under pressure and making decisions while undertaking those levels of stress.
B_Rant_Gaming I’m used to stress
@@mario6279 Well good for you then you should understand what the yelling is for then but alot of those that enter boot camp aren’t used to being under stress and pressure and as a marine you have to be used to it because in a combat situation you gotta think fast and make decisions especially when the lives of your buddies are at risk.
