      Acerbis Rally Pro handguards, Hepco Becker luggage rack, Quadlock Moto smartphone mount, Oxford Premium Touring heated grips, Motostuff Auxiliary USB socket. Have planned on making the seat just a tad more comfortable. Aside from that, happy as one can be :)

      I got Race-Tech in front, Ohlins shocks, Barkbuster-Jet, Tusk-Lithium Bat, FMF Powerbomb, and wolfman gas tank bag (crap for hardcore Enduro when I need to be all in front in some situations).

    Small bikes are the best easy to handle cheap to maintain and being a honda you can pass it to your grandchild and maybe his kid.

    I'm in the UK. I have pivot pegs, Barkbuster Storms guards and bar end weights, Rox bar risers (up and back a little), heated grips (I ride all year, including the snow). I had a welder fuse on a top box holder for my Gobi box and as easy-to-remove Hepco & Becker pannier frames - to fit the boxes I already have. I also cut the silly little helmet clip off and had an aluminium box made to measure to fit there to old tools. On the front I had a small rack built too. And I changed the seat to a Seat Concepts higher version. What it really needs is a bigger tank and a better calibrated digital speedo and fuel gauge. I've done 300 miles in one hit a few times and having to stop for fuel so often is a bind.

      UK as well. Would love to see pictures of it. I'm thinking of getting an L or Rally in the new year and turning it into a short weekend adv bike. I have a G650GS now, great bike, but a bit heavy if/when I fall off.

    Bought these d2 led lights a few weeks ago. Man I love em. On coming traffic, not so much. These are bright. I'm getting lots of people flipping high beams at me. Might have to get the data dimmer to go with.

    Two thumbs up! I went the route of a non-abs Kawi x 300, as I found it a little peppier on the road and still startlingly good off.. not enough can be said about lightweight off road.. 1200gs owners have been sold a lie..!

      You can drop in a CBR300R engine/ECU/Throttle Body into a Rally. It's all plug and play other than one wire end of the stator. Sell the stock engine and it's basically free.

    In south America we have the Honda XRE 300 from Brazil, is not so agresive like the CRF250L, but is more confortable and more propper for a very long adventure tour. I love the look of the CRF250L Rally except the front light. Nice video greetings from Colombia. (sorry about my poor english).

    Hi I have seen many videos featuring this bike as a 'lightweight adventure bike' but doesn't i require frequent maintenance, oil changes etc every 10hrs, like other crf250's or dirt bikes in general?

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, Aro. The CRF250L Rally has the same engine as the CBR250/300 family, which is basically a mild mannered street bike and not a hard-core racer like the CRF250 motocrossers. The oil changes are called for every 8000 miles. The second valve-clearance check (after the first at 600 miles) isn't until 16,000 miles.

    Hi, really liked what you did wyth the extra lights. Can you point me out to those brackets on the forks? also what bar riser model did you apply? The rear Rack, what brand/model is it? Thanks.

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi there, glad you liked what you saw, we're pretty happy how the bike turned out as well. Those brackets can be found on our website and will mount specifically to your CRF250L Rally. On this bike we used an SW-Motech bar riser, which can be found under "shop by brand" on our website. We had to go outside our catalog for the top rack, which is made by Precision Motorcycle Racks. Hope this all helps, and happy riding!

    Are these D2 lights acceptable for daytime road riding? Or are they too bright?

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      We've found the D2s to be useful both during the evening and during the day, we doubt you will find them to be too bright. We actually shot most of this video during the day and we were running the lights more than half the time and never had any issues with them.

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey there DRZ, because you're in the UK, we would recommend you head over to R&G Racing's website and purchase DENALI's through them. Here's a link directly to their DENALI product page: www.rg-racing.com/browseType/denali_lights/
      Hope this helps!

  • @ultamatule

    Do the mounts to mount to forks come with the lights?

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Ultamatule, thanks for watching. To answer your question we have a few different options available. If you choose to buy a DENALI kit then they're are options available that come with a fork mount solution. Alternatively, you can buy just the light pods, or other variations of the DENALI kit that will fit your needs specifically. We recommend you check us out online or give us a call if you want more specific details about mounting options and accessories. Hope this all helps, happy riding!

    I have been trying to find out how this bike would suit a beginning rider at 6’2” 250lbs. Commute around town 35-55mph, and an occasional trail ride. I have read reviews that the suspension may be too weak. Thoughts?

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Derek: The suspension will definitely be soft for this size of rider, though turning up the rear preload will help (a little). For a beginning rider, though, it won't be so soft that the bike is unstable or hard to ride. It'll just bottom over bumps sooner than it would for a lighter rider. Most of us who like this bike for all the other things it does well are happy to budget for suspension upgrades.

    ROFL.... 350.-Bucks for the Denalis when you can get the same from China at 10% of this... thats really crazy and do not tell me the Chinese do not make good stuff...i am having LEDs since 5 years on my CRF-L without any problems and they cost me 15.-bucks each

    NICE video but to be honest, when i checked you page for the Prices i nearly vomit.... thats rediculous, may be you should sometimes check the prices in Platforms like AliExpress or even Ebay out....and i am not talking about the EBAY suckers in the USA where you ordering parts for 5.-US and you have to pay 70.-US for shipping them.
    Specially lights became so cheap in the past 4 years its sick buying a Denali for 350.-Dollars !!!! when i get the same one for 20-30US in an online store and these working perfect too... having a couple of lamps on my CRF since years, never had any problem.
    These prices are for guys can affort BMWs GS1200cc and not for guys buing bikes for 6k US ;)
    Have a great week, i like your videos anyways

    • @twistedthrottle
      @twistedthrottle  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's true you can get some really cheap LED driving lights these days. We have a few in our shop right now that we're testing alongside the DENALI products. Look for a comparison video soon. And don't forget that the DENALI light kits come with everything you need, from harnesses and relays and switches. The $20 lights we have here have really lightweight mounts and two short wires, nothing more. It's not really fair to compare the total price of a light by itself and a total system designed for easy installation.

    • @silvermonk13
      @silvermonk13 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      getting all the relays and extra wire doesnt justify the obsurdley high cost of the denalis sorry to say. relays and wire dont cost that much
