Initially thought Anakin had some anime supervillain vibes during tourneys. Turns out he’s super chill and cool. Became one of my go-to’s recently on TH-cam. Love the content man!
I just went and watched 4 other videos straight, and he played different characters in each video. For some reason that in itself was educational along with entertaining, instead of watching other you tubers who only play one character and give their perspective from that one character in every video.
Man first time I saw you I thought this guy is cocky, but after watching a row of clips you were currently uploading, I was like man how can you be so blind, this dude is not cocky and funny but also a legend :D Keep it up!
I forget which video it was but Anakin once said "You only need 3 rounds to win, first 2 losses can just be downloading." That really stuck with me, there really isn't pressure until you're down two rounds if you're mindful and observing your opponent.
Yeah there's another saying from Nin way back in the day. He told Knee that, "if you haven't downloaded your opponent by the end of the 2nd round then forget about winning. You've already lost" That's why top level players are so quick at adapting and barely ever fall for the same thing twice.
Yeah I’ve found it makes a huge difference in my gameplay to relax a bit. Remember that as long as there’s HP in your life bar, you can still win. So chill, keep HP in the bar; and take your time. No reason to risk getting blown up.
"That's called frames! That's called setups!...That's called trash!" 😅 Very informative and entertaining video! The new content in general is dope man, keep up the great work!
I just came back after 10 matches with a Heihachi player. I can confidently say I pretty much downloaded every single bytes of him after I lost the first match. Thanks, Anakin. I'll definitely seed.
Whenever I downloaded my opponent during a set, once I get to the promo match, they play completely differently (either much more defensively or offensively) and everything I downloaded blows up in my face (since I always expected them to do what they always did before). How do you deal with players completely changing their play styles on a promo match?
Assume that other players are like you tbh, don't just think they are going to play the exact same way even after a loss. Most people will try to adjust, just confirm on the reads you can.
People tend to do their most dirty stuff when they low hp like hellsweeps , rage arts , hopkicks after strings , so panic buttons come in handy by that time
Thanks so much for putting out these video! I am a Gigas main (Gigas 4eva) but i feel like I get downloaded lots. Like it would get so bad where I feel like anything I do is the wrong decision. Any tips on what to do when you are the one getting downloaded?
I’d watch your replays and notice any habits you have or patterns. For example I have a bad habit of engaging with a low or df1. Or I have a bad habit of trying to force a crouch mix up too often even if they’re aren’t working
I don't really watch replays in Tekken, but back when I'm half-serious in DOTA2, I would wait for a couple of days before watching replays. Just so I can forget what and why I did stuffs, and figure it out again. It's easier to call yourself out when you forget the justifications.
This series is great. I want to know the best ways to implement all this with limited time. Let's say I have an hour a day. How do I split up that hour to train most efficiently?
@@terencema6714 While I agree with you on the efficiency, I also agree with the other poster. A well known TEKKEN player/commentator/streamer Aris once asked a Korean Pro ( I forget who exactly atm) how long it takes to be decent on a competitive level. His response was 2 years. And that's 2 years of a Korean regimen where they take games very VERY seriously.
DeadEndzMusic i heard that too but i think thats an exaggeration. If u put the time in id say a year MAX but u got to put in serious effort and u definitely gotta be going to events playing different people and not just spammers on a shitty netcode.
@@MIGGYME1 MIGGYME1 MIGGYME1 Yeah if you had a good local (offline) scene with cool people for teachers... and you were watching tournaments and reading up on the game during the time you WEREN'T playing then yeah, a year. But driving to the local back and forth may take an hour alone. To really familiarize yourself with the game, and be comfortable in it, takes nothing other than time spent. Once you stop saying things to yourself like ( What the fuck is that string/I've never seen that move in my life/Is that a mid, high or low/ etc.) Takes a very very long time. There is almost 50 characters now, there is no way every character is represented at your local. You're going to have to go online and pray you finally see a bob/bear/gigass to get any experience on them. That takes a bunch of time, who knows when you will get matched with them. Point is, 1 hour a day is not enough to be COMPETITIVE but if you just want to go online and play your favorite character, maybe spend a bit of time in the lab here and there that's fine too. TEKKEN is fun at all levels of play!
I DID click for the title XD Reminded me of a certain thing that happened on my High School arcade days I was given a round to fight in MvC 2 (the one with Ruby Heart) SO THE GUY COULD FIGHT SOME OTHER GUY and I Can actually FEEL the rhythm of the guy calling in the assists And I go 1-2-3 assist? Okay And it goes 1-2-TRIPLE SUPER Assist is dead
Amazing gameplays as always and Im enjoying so much your tips for beginners, I'm playing Lili and doing ranked... got to rank Initiate and then downgraded to 1 dan again lol.... gonna use your tips tho. I'm uploading my gameplays on my channel if you could watch a game and tell me some feedback to improve would be amazing.

Not the most useful advice. I get what he's trying to say, but having an idea of what someone is going to do and being able to something about it are two different things.
Everything? No. Remember the things that stuck out to you and make educated guesses. Learn as you go. It's not rocket science. Some people just sit there and play the same way every round. This video gives them something to think about more often
Anakin facts i actually did this yesterday and OMG i got the read and got a perfect on my opponent of course i lost but that moment i was trying to download my opponent.
Gotta keep in mind that anakin is only giving you a piece of the puzzle. When downloading its more than "just this or that." There's understanding what your opponent will do after a poke (df1, generic d4), there's interesting their timing in situation after they poke or want plus frames on block. Try to look at it from his perspective-- he's showing you one side of this large puzzle for you to put together. His other videos also help in understanding your opponent to "download."
lol that ending was savage
Absolutely, lmao
Can we get a round of applause for the editing on these videos? Good stuff

called em ALL out!! super impressive.

I love how he fights an actually good law player but then he's like 'wait im anakin' and beats him anyway
its just focusing

My guy, Anakin, killin it with the videos! These are dope man and they're upgrading each time.
Really enjoying your videos so far Anakin. You suddenly became one of my favorite content creators for Tekken :)
It’s so cool to watch your videos with knowledge of matches)) you are great
Love that the editing stepped up
I'm really enjoying all of your videos, thank you for sharing man!
The ending, I am fucking dead
Anakin we love your guides.
I definitely played him before he doesn't know much but his flowchart and pure mixups with panic moves if whiffed from what it looks like
I still lost to him before lol
Here's how it actually ended:
Lei player: *Rage Arts*
Anakin: Omae wa mou shinde iru
Nice tip for giving wisdom knowledge stuff dude! 😲😉
you are a very good teacher
Heard some of the best advice in this one vid..... MORE

Yes. Aka fuzzy parry
@@TkAnakin Excuse my ignorance, but is that a real thing or were you joking?
@@EternalSilverDragon yes it's real in Tekken lingo.
