  • Cropping an image is an essential part of anyone's job who works with computers.
In this tutorial, I show you how to use the crop tool on the software Preview.
Preview is the built in software provided on all Macs, to edit images & PDFs.
This isn't a tricky tutorial, but it is useful for those people that aren't experienced with Preview!
Let's get straight into it guys! Here are the written steps if you need help.
Step 1. Open the Tool Bar inside of Preview
Once your image or PDF is open inside of Preview, you want to select and open the toolbar. The icon looks like a pen tip, with a circle around it.
Step 2. Use the Select Tool
Now use the select area tool (the icon looks like a rectangle with dotted lines) to outline the area you would like to crop the image to.
Step 3. Crop the Selected Area
Once your area is selected, select the crop button and the image will crop.
    Step 4. Save your Image
Finally you want to save your cropped image, and you will be all set!
    Cheers
    Luke

Do you want to learn more about me?
I grew up in the remote north-west corner of Australia 🇦🇺 known as the Kimberley. It's approximately the size of California, but with a population of about 90,000 people. It was a beautiful & rugged place to grow up.
I started my journey in marketing back in the Kimberley, where I dabbled in videography. Before I knew it, I was filming weddings & commercials for local businesses. As much as I loved videography, I didn't like the pressure of filming for clients 🎥
A few years later, I moved to Adelaide (South Australia) and decided to learn digital marketing 📲. From there it's been a rollercoaster, my business has snowballed as I built up my skills & got better at my work.
Now, I find myself focusing on digital marketing, education & being active outdoors. Follow along for the journey 🌎

never mind I got it. for anyone wondering, go to preview, settings (top left corner), click general and you can change to whatever color you want.

@@alicelibertas View menu -- Show Markup Toolbar. Luke shows how to do it using a button on the Action Bar. I think the button is a pen pointing up. I have horrible color vision so I don't use toolbars b/c I cannot freaking understand them.
