7a is the same experience for much cheaper, it's a no brainer. All these videos comparing them keep proving there's very little difference but they also end up pushing people to get the more expensive version... Makes no sense.

I sort of like the fact that the 7a is smaller. Easier to hold, easier to pocket. 👍

I would consider Pixel 7a as the better buy than Pixel 7. It’s more compact, and 0.5x zoom ultrawide is actually useful (compared to 0.7x zoom ultrawide on Pixel 7). Compared to Pixel 7 Pro, however, for me it’s about the size being a deal-breaker. I personally really dislike large phones. They are impractical, un-ergonomic, unwieldy, and cumbersome. On top of that, curved display is an ick. So Pixel 7a wins for me.
Ideally though, I want Pixel Pro specs in the size of Pixel 5 and with a flat display. That would be the perfect phone for me. Hopefully I can get that with Pixel 8 or maybe Pixel 9.

I'm also not a fan of these giant-sized phones. I've held on to my Pixel 5 since release. The battery is starting to go on it, though, so I'm looking into the 7a.

@@jesotReplace the battery. Trust me that will bring the phone back to life. I replaced my screen and battery on my Note 20 Ultra and the phone sped back up because the aging battery couldn't provide enough power to run as smooth as out of the box new when I got it. It's basically back brand new.

Thank you for this excellent comparison. The 7A in terms of camera this year has gotten way too good especially since it costs $499. Overall, I think the 7 Pro is better in spite of my love for the 7A. Looking forward to more of these magnificent comparisons!

I ended up going with the 7 Pro around a month ago because it's not much bigger than the LG V40 I used to have. I'm coming from a regular Galaxy S21 and the extra room on the screen is great. I also got a really good trade-in deal from Verizon.

The best deal IMO is when they give you buds pro to the phone when buying on Amazon, I bought 7 Pro with buds pro for 750$ so the phone itself was around 600$ and I don't even see a point in buying 7a in that situation. Pro looks so much better with slim bezels and curved edges and thanks to that design I can use it with one hand. The screen itself is amazing, surely one of the best on the market and gives you a lot of space. And the telephoto is a killer, I use it more often than main one.

Hey, thanks for doing the review. But honestly this 7 pro was on sale for $599 for over a month at Best buy. So I don't think anybody's paying full price for that phone anymore. But I have to say the screen brightness is a big deal. I had the regular seven and I sold it and got the seven pro just to have the brighter screen and camera wise. It really depends on what you use your phone for the macro and the telescope features on the 7 pro are pretty nice and having the 5000 battery does mean you're going to make it through a day. Where is I had the regular Pixel 7. I didn't make it through a day... But The seven is a big phone and that does take something to get used to. But if you want the 7A I would wait a month and get it on sale

Opinions aside, size preference aside, NOBODY should be buying the 7a. I made that mistake instead of going for an OPENBOX 7 pro which is only $80 more (i didnt know at the time) and i paid msrp for the 7a.. its a rookie mistake, as stated in the video Pixels depreciate at an INSANE rate, it's quite preposterous. 1 month later my 7a goes for $330 used, and 18w charging is a joke 😂

Pixel 7a isn't a good value like $299 or $349 should become the regular price since you can find a pixel 7 so often for $449 which is $50 less for a water down phone and even if the pixel 7 is asking for $599 I'd say stretch out your budget get the pixel 7 the difference is substantial and the price gap is small like your getting a plastic back, the cameras are noticeably worse, on paper they both have the same display but the 1080p panel on the 7a looks cheap like it's not unnoticeable, it lacks reverse wireless and it doesn't feel quite flagship even with the 7 and 7 pro processor, even though on paper it has the same 90hz which is a massive improvement from the 6a 60hz it doesn't feel quite as smooth as the 90hz on pixel 7 and tend to feel like a mid range phone 20% of the time, the difference is big enough like for a $100 difference they could've just left out the glass back and maybe reverse wireless charging but they dumbed it down a little to much that even fir a $100 difference it's hard to recommend and by the way the pixel 7 pro has been on sale for $599 brand new so if you can already spare $499 stretch your budget, the pixel 7a needed to be $200-$250 cheaper like $349 or lower to be justifiable even could bare with $379 but once u hit the $400 mark that's way too much for a mid range phone

On topic, but if you keep this up, your channel will actually have technology content daily! That would be great. Anyway, I don't like the Pixel 7a, (read my post on your last video to see why) but the 7 Pro is a decent phone because the screen is big enough to see the details without excellent vision. I said decent, though, not great. The Tensor chip is well behind other flagships. In fact it is only slightly more powerful than the 3 year old Snapdragon 865. The 8 gen 2 destroys it! Even the midrange 7+ Gen 2 chip beats it. They should lower the 7 Pro's price by $200, and call it an upper midrange phone, unless they include an up to date processor.
