I still have a Pixel 5a and I love it. It honestly is all I need in a phone personally. Does everything I need it to, and is unbelievably affordable. I used to go for the Samsung flagships, and if things keep going the way they are now, I'll probably never switch back. Probably gonna snatch up the 7a when it comes out.
I bought a cheap Japanese Pixel 5a when I heard the pixel 6a was not gonna have a headphone jack and back finger print scanner. Will eventually upgrade to pixel 7a but I liked the older style phones with headphone jacks and rear finger print scanners.
"Photo unblurring" was literally my final project in "image processing" course (Electrical Engineering). You basically need to find two parameters: Power - How strong is the blur, meaning - how far was the pixel moved from its original place. Angle - The angle of the pixels movement in a coordinate system There is some math going to achieve that, you have to make a Fourier transform to the image to change it into the "frequency domain", then find the angle and the length of the "strips" that you are getting from the image, and viola! you just calculated the two parameters that you need. Now you have to make another Fourier transform to return to the "time domain". With the 2 parameters you have just calculated, you can reverse the process of the blurring effect. TBH, I'm not working as a signal processing engineer, but as a DevOps Engineer :)
@@markonikolic7957 In Matlab XD Majored in subjects that include the following courses - 1. Signal processing: Image processing, DSP, Random signal processing 2. The recorder app would be incredible for university students, to transcribe lectures. When I was in college I remember frantically trying to write down everything the professor said (so I could just rely on notes later and not do the reading). With this app, you don't even have to take notes anymore, and if a student asks a question, the app will even label the different speakers, so you can transcribe an entire Q&A. And transcribing is not the same as recording, so you won't be breaking any rules.
@@nehemoth You're right. Isn't there such a job as a transcriber? Where you get paid to listen to stuff and transcribe it? Couldn't you just use this app? Free money LOL.

About 3 months in and my Pixel 7 is going great. My major frustration and disappointment, the fingerprint recognition has resolved itself (magic or software upgrade?). The battery is excellent, no problem going a whole day. I changed over from an iPhone (something I thought would be daunting but it was so simple) and can't imagine ever wanting to go back. The software in this phone makes it smart in so many ways I feel it's a step ahead of the competition. Love my Pixel 7.
I’m honestly thinking of switching from an iPhone to this phone. So videos like this and comments like yours are marking me fore confident to make the switch.
Same here, really happy with my Pixel 7. Just wish it had a better front camera, that's been my only major disappointment. For a line of phones known for their camera quality, they really dropped the ball with the front camera. That plus the fact that the home screen search bar can't be removed or even repositioned at all without using a separate launcher, but I can live with that.
My phone gives barely 3 hours of screen on time heats up like crazy w the slightest camera use and the network bands and the idle battery drain is intolerable
Would choose google over apple anyday now. Initially Google didn't make good phones, but they have improved so much and they are much better than apple now.
I love how whenever you do Apple/Google reviews you always pay homage to their ad campaigns, including the smallest details, such as colors, framing, song choices, all of it
@@olumideaanu5403 4 should be better as it would be more efficient/ more powerful/ a combination of the two. The smaller the process the closer everything is.
Regular 7 is crazy value for the pre order package. 7 and Pixel Buds Pro for 599 is great. Also the flat screen and matte aluminium is both the better design and the more practical choice.
Love that you dedicate a slot for sustainability. Just as an upgrade, the programmed obsolescence has way more impact than the packaging. 2 years of software upgrades and 5 of security upgrades makes a more sustainable device than a few grams of recycled materials!
"But for patient Pixel people who prefer pristine programming and pretty pictures, the Pixel Pro is pretty perfect." Really liked this alliteration at the end!
Amazing alliteration at the end! I took a chance and preordered the 7 Pro before the embargo was lifted, I'm glad to see there are no glaring problems at this point. It will be a great upgrade from my aging Pixel 4 XL.
@@alternatereality7713 yeah but adobe is like software multiplied by software. Adobe has loads of other AI-related features that work like software magic which would be really cool to see on phones. I absolutely LOVE all of the cool features of this phone, and I still haven't gone through everything yet. I was done with Samsung anyways, after almost 10 years, but it was nice that the Pixel 7 Pro was THIS amazing.
@TewPaqs for me, it's because im on my third fold 3 in 8 months. Every time something stops working, samsung say user error and try and make you pay. All three faults on my fold 3 where just hardware faults.

I'm a Pixel fan. My first all Google phone was the Nexus 6, and I've been hooked ever since. The software is really the selling point. And we're to the point where I don't really feel the need to upgrade simply for hardware every year, or every two years. As long as I'm getting software updates I'm happy.
Bro one question. Can Pixels connect to Windows laptop via USB file sharing? Cuz I think Pixel charging wires are different from ports and I desire to keep laptop and phone integrated

The fingerprint reader is *definitely* much improved this year. Way more reliable, speed is good. It doesn't "instantly" capture your fingerprint like a supersonic reader, but it's almost as fast overall if you keep your finger there for a couple more milliseconds. Much improved over the pixel 6.
My pixel 6 pro's reader is actually really good now compared to what it used to be, still not the absolute greatest I've ever used but due to software a really solid reader
Yeah, I think Marques is basically tapping the fingerprint sensor like it's on fire, rather than pressing on it. Seen others saying it's working great for them.
The AI keeps getting better and better. I finally traded in my Pixel 2XL recently. I do miss one thing from that device......the rear finger print reader. It was so much more natural to use. Oh well!!
I've been watching your videos since you convince me to buy a Nexus 5X when I joined Google Fi. My 7 Pro arrived a few hours ago, and so far I am very impressed. Such a huge upgrade to my old Pixel 4, I thought the camera app had bugged out at first, turns out it was updating in the Play Store, once all updates had been installed, I am yet to encounter any strange bugs which is great
I grabbed a 6a a month or so ago (they were offering $300 trade on my old 4a5G, so got the 6a for $150). I'm very impressed with the speech-to-text with Tensor chips; its now giving a pretty decent shot at punctuation (like Marques showed in the vid).

Such an informative review of the Pixel 7 on things people care about. Really cool theme in this quick review of software solving hardware limitations. Really cool to have a tech expert perspective that is easy to follow for enthusiasts of all levels.
Yeah. Just ordered a Pixel Pro 7 and I'm excited. Never used Android until I got a deal on a cheap Oppo phone and learned the Android OS. Even though it's really slow I was using it more than my Apple XR. I did a lot of research and this is the phone I chose to make the final switch. Looking forward to it!
I like my iPhone 15 pro but I must say that all of the Exclusive pixel features are very useful and I really miss them. Im thinking about switching back to pixel for good. Its the cleanest and most unique experience on the android side in my opinion. I may decide to do it when they make the 8 Pro cheaper due to the 9 series coming out.
I preordered the Pixel 7 pro despite having an S21+. It came with 10% off, 350$ in google store credit (nearly free pixel watch) and 470$ additionally off for giving them my current phone. Haven't had a Google phone since the 3XL. I'm looking forward to it.
@@Numb_ they're giving me 470$ for it, and it has a gigantic crack on the back. The used market here in Japan is extremely volatile. I'd be lucky to get 250$ out of it, so google exchange is the best option. But yea my wife has a 6 pro, and the photos (especially in zoom) are mountains better than mine, so I look forward to it. Financing phones in Japan is like 48 months with half price down with extreme penalties for bowing out early, but google lets me do 12 interest free payments so I figured I might as well side grade haha
your data and usage on the S21+ is more valuable than the 10% and store credit combined. Google thanks your patronage at supplying them with data the the hardware to recycle for future pixel products.
@@simplylearning9347 The S21 goes to a partner company that refurbished and resells it, not google directly. Plus they only accept the phone if it's completely reset, meaning all bits flipped to zero, which I will do before sending it. The conspiracy paranoia doesn't rub off on me. Nice try haha
I really like Google‘s approach with these phones. The future-oriented features thanks to the tensor chips for a competitive price especially with the Pixel 7 is a really great deal. The mix of great photos enhanced with AI and the rest of the AI stuff is probably one of the highest ranked points on the wish list of the everyday consumer. Great work!
I've always been partial towards the Galaxy S and Note lineup. Previously had the S4, Note 4, Note 7 (had to change it out to the LG V20), S8+, and the Note 10+. My Note 10+ lost video output and touch, so I had to get a new phone quickly, and went with the iPhone 14 Pro Max, to which I didn't really prefer UI-wise. so I ultimately paid the restocking fee and traded it in for the Pixel 7 Pro. I love this phone. It's simple, has no extra apps I never used from Samsung, easy to setup and personalize, and I'm excited to check out a lot of these cool features. The camera is awesome, too!
As an iPhone user, this is the first Pixel that seems to be a compelling option. The software features and design make it seem really impressive! Great video!
@Garrus Vakarian if it opens the apps pretty much at the same time and has no lag who cares. Is tik tok gonna scroll faster or is the email going to send faster ?
Coming up for a year since I changed over from an iPhone to a Pixel and I definitely have no regrets. The phone has been super reliable with no major problems except for a short period when the battery drained quickly (never to zero) but that seemed to be short-lived. I still believe the smart software that makes my Pixel such a delight to use is way in front of Apple. Love my Pixel 7.
I'm still rocking the Pixel 5. It's been great! I do notice some slowdowns sometimes, but nothing deal breaking. I love the form factor, the back placed fingerprint scanner, and the updates have been amazing. The Pixel 7 isn't grabbing attention with anything I have to have so I'll stick with the 5 for another year. Hopefully the 8 has some worthwhile upgrades!
I bought this phone a few months ago as a replacement to my Samsung based upon this review. It is indeed a wonderful phone with great features. Sadly, after 3 months I am going back to Samsung. There has been an ongoing and apparently insolvable problem with the Mobile Hotspot feature, This is incredibly frustrating because this is otherwise a superior phone, but I need to have a reliable mobile hotspot on my phone.
Think you mean 8a because the A series is a lower tier (as in you may not care for what the flagship series does, therefore it's an option that gives you the best of what you're happy with)
Still rocking my 4a as well. It's honestly good enough, actually has some same software issues as in this video, but I'm ready for an upgrade. Fingers crossed for a good black friday deal or a 7a.
Decent price to begin with and a great deal if you trade in the pixel 6 (or even some older gen phones). After a $450 trade-in credit and a $100 credit for the Google store, I was able to upgrade to the 7 for only $100. Hard to pass up at that price.
As always Marques- a fantastic review. I had the Pixel 6 pro right when it came out, and I returned it within a week due to all of the issues. I was impressed with the phone and really wanted to keep it, but it was plagued with issues- especially the fingerprint scanner almost never worked even after registering the same finger multiple times. I think the optical fingerprint scanner is an issue especially during colder weather. I received my Pixel 6 pro in December. I believe the colder weather, lower humidity, lower skin hydration makes the optical sensor struggle. I find that the ultrasonic on the S21 worked better than the Pixel optical scanner in all scenarios, but also noticed that when my skin was more hydrated (warmer weather) it worked better. I also tested my theory this past winter by applying lotion at times and noticed the scanner would work better. This may explain why some people had less issues with the Pixel 6 fingerprint scanner based on time of year and location (weather). I think adding the facial recognition helps the Pixel 7, but really the Samsung ultrasonic sensor is better and also include facial recognition. Personally I feel if they brought back the capacitive sensors and placed it on the back of the phone- I would prefer those- they worked perfectly all the time. The Pixel is the more innovative, but the Samsung more practical and dependable. Also for me the 10X optical lens in the S21 is preferred since I do a lot of video and photography of my daughter performances at a distance. Thanks again for a great review!
I'd just like to compliment you on your very polished and genuine presentation! I can easily tell you are YOU in front of the camera and not putting on the drama robes. Polished speach, informative content, excellent review. I don't ever comment on TH-cam videos btw.
I would love a Pixel Extreme or Ultra, where they "simply" put in best in class Hardware and then the Pixel Experience/ Software on top. I think a Pixel like this would be untouchable for the competition. I know it would be expensive but I would pay even pay $1300 for it and then use it for the next 7 years or so, still rocking my OnePlus 5.
You can almost feel the positivity in the way you talk about the Pixel 7 and 7 Pro. Hoping the same is true about the experience with the new Pixel watch. That watch is definitely on my shortlist of watches to pair with my Pixel 6 Pro.
I have a Pixel 6 and the automated call robot thing makes checking on prescriptions and dealing with doctor offices insanely easy. My mother about lost her mind when she saw it LOL.
when the automated call robot calls my restaurant to make a reservation i hang up. if you don't have the time of day to call me why should i have the time to answer? stupid
@@jradish Considering you are answering the phone while working at a restaurant would it not literally be part of the job to book reservations? Maybe not all restaurants take reservations but in your case it obviously does.
The timing of this review couldn't have been better, my Pixel 3 is due an upgrade at last but I was hesitant between the Pixel 7 or the Samsung S22. Between this review, the S22's reported battery let downs and the fact Google are offering amazing trade in and store credit promos, I'm now set on going with the Pixel 7, so thank you.
My S22U (Exynos) battery is the best I have had on smartphones in years. But Pixel 7 Pro looks really good and I might actually consider the Pixel line the next time I change my phone.
I feel a podcast challenge is a good test for the speech to test. Have the pixel recorder app record the podcast, or at least a segment, and see if it gets the conversation 100% with speech to text. Would be interesting to see it in that interview style setting at work!
I had the pixel 3 and used it to transcribe interviews while I was in a news office. Any further improvements would be astounding. I switched because the pixel couldn’t operate in Caribbean heat tho
It may struggle to pick up recorded audio. The frequency of a live human voice is very different from sound coming out of a speaker. Still, that would be very impressive.
This is the first time I'm excited about a Pixel phone since I got the Pixel 2XL. I moved away from it to Samsung but nothing beat the software that phone provided & so going back to a pure Android experience with even more features has me waiting in suspense to get my hands on it.
Iv had the 6 for a year now and the only issue was the fingerprint reader (that has improved over updates - and i found it works every time with my index finger best) I had to reboot once in 1 year. Other than that its been perfect and the pics i can take still make me a much better photographer than i really am. I am attracted to the slightly better form factor of 7 so will upgrade on that basis alone.
I would upgrade for the improved 5X telephoto and wider FOV ultrawide but honestly even with my trade-in I think I should hold onto my 6 Pro one more year. I spent $1000 on it after all 😂. Hopefully we get a Pixel Fold next year I might just do that instead
Thank you for this review! I'm picking mine up tomorrow from best buy. The preorder got me a $200 best buy gift card so it's almost like getting the pro version for just $100 more than the regular version. Can't wait!
While the fingerprint delay might be performance related, I do actually like the delay on my Pixel 6 Pro. Feels like it unlocks only when I am deliberately trying to unlock it and not also every time there is a random touch on the sensor.
I agree with this too, I have a pixel 6 pro for work and it feels really intentional to unlock while my iPhone will face unlock using my watch when I just touch it sometimes. I wish it was an option to delay unlocks using biometrics…
10:15 this is the first time I’ve seen your skin tone (in comparison to how it’s graded in the videos) be so accurate on a phone. I think the iPhone comes close but it’s not quite right either. In the second image it feels like the reds were toned down a bit making it feel less saturated but both look really solid without going too light or dark.
It's always a gamble with the way that Google tempts buyers with early deals before reviews like your excellent one can post. I'm glad to hear your experience has been positive, since I did preorder and receive my Pro tomorrow!
I upgraded to Pixel 7Pro from P5. I love the phone itself, it looks awesome and performance is great. The only problem is, after only 3 days of use, the back is badly scratched. The camera bar and the lower edge where the phone contacts the surface have a lot of scratches. Kinda disappointed with the built-in quality.
That means u really don’t take care of your phone just be throwing them around on hard surfaces etc I love using camera to take pictures so I’m always careful where I lay my phone down at most of the time I would throw it on my bed
If you knew you were gonna treat your $900 smart phone like crap, you should've invested the few extra $ for a skin or case. When I took the skin of my S20, when I was trading it in for my 7 Pro, after a wipe with a microfiber cloth, the thing looked as if I just walked out of the store with it.
At first the finger print scanner didn't bother me, because I thought "it's fine. So it doesn't work the first time. What's the big deal?" Then it stopped working the second time. And the third time. And I still thought, "that's fine I'll just put in the pin." But when it comes to using it to sign into banking where you have limited tries and you have to lick your finger in hopes of making it work or get locked out, it makes me want to throw this fucking phone out of my window.
And it charges slowly when you run out of battery. Seems like the issues are still the same with this, many other reviewers are reporting average (on the lower side of average) battery life and the charging speed didn't change. I'll keep the S22 I switched to after 4 months with the 6 Pro.
I just switched to the 7 from a 3XL. I like the new features but I do miss the fingerprint on the back. The navigation settings changed too. I really miss 2 button navigation.
Hey MKHD, thanks for doing a sustainability section in the reviews. I really appreciate it, there's not a lot the average consumer can do but it is nice to try what we can!
I've been using the Pixel 5 for the last two years and while I love the pure android experience and a load of its features, it hasn't been without its issues. Nothing too serious but there have been some noticable bugs that pop up (lately) almost daily. The 6 and 6 Pro just didn't do it for me but the 7 REALLY got my attention and I've been patiently waiting for your full review. Everything I've seen on it UP to this video just made me want it more. Now that it has the MKBHD seal of approval, I'm in. Loved the 'P' infested closing comments by the way - I see what you did there. 😉

don't forget that MKBHD reviewed Pixel 6 as well, rated it relatively good. However he never mentioned any of the bugs that people who actually bought the phone are experiencing. I'd be cautious about P7 for a while. Even free earbuds aren't worth it
@@ns4529 well, that's why he update the review after a half year long term. Because most of the phone is perfectly fine in the first month (except if u buy an ultra low end phone that cost 'only' $100 or less that would felt very slow, really testing our patience and uncomfortable). Now, in this review he already gave warn in the couple last minute of his review
I still don't have a reason to switch out my S10+ 1TB Ceramic. Been using it for just over 3 years now. Picked it over the S20 when those came out. The only thought about switching is the lack of 5G. @@abdomination 120hz is definitely worthwhile though apart from that and maybe the sometimes useful zoom there really aren't many tbh. For most people you don't have to switch every 1 - 2 or even 3 years.

Love the inclusion of the sustainability section! Only thing missing now is a note about repairability. I get that's probably difficult seeing as nobody really has assessed that yet but maybe you can work out a collaboration with ifixit for future videos or sth. Anyway loved the video! :)
I don't know how important repairability is for the challenge it would be to test. Most people just send their phone to someone else so it doesn't really matter how easy it is to them
@@rubenlopez6352 I have to disagree. In my view, higher repairability would extend the lifespan of these devices, in turn reducing the need for making more such chips in the future and thus reducing the footprint of the whole industry.
@@carsonwilliams again, i have to disagree. True, most people don't perform repairs themselves but the difficulty of the repair is passed to the end user through price of the repair, right? The more challenging the repair is (also considering the availability and price of spare parts) the higher the price of a repair will be which will deter people from actually having them done. Result: more devices in landfills and more new devices produced.

"Photo unblurring" was literally my final project in "image processing" course (Electrical Engineering).
You basically need to find two parameters:
Power - How strong is the blur, meaning - how far was the pixel moved from its original place.
Angle - The angle of the pixels movement in a coordinate system
There is some math going to achieve that, you have to make a Fourier transform to the image to change it into the "frequency domain", then find the angle and the length of the "strips" that you are getting from the image, and viola! you just calculated the two parameters that you need. Now you have to make another Fourier transform to return to the "time domain". With the 2 parameters you have just calculated, you can reverse the process of the blurring effect.
TBH, I'm not working as a signal processing engineer, but as a DevOps Engineer :)
I think everyone in EE should take a DIP course as a tech elective. Really gives a good perspective of imagery as a concept
I geniuenly love that you wrote "viola". Please don't change it. Made my day (in a good way). Bless you, stay healthy! :)

There are third party apps that do this , I do hope google solution has better quality though. They are good in ai stuff
Also, for subtitles.

@@mrp73 it is. Im in the US right now so I'm missing out on the GC instore gifts but this is just too good to pass. Enjoy your new phone mate,
haha literally have this in my cart looking at review before i pull the trigger
@@unclebuck416 sooooo, did you pull the trigger?
@@turbodarkle the trade in for the 6 pro is just so bad haha
The perfect consumer.
Only $20 bucks to upgrade on the play store right now.
Thank you for this review! I'm picking mine up tomorrow from best buy. The preorder got me a $200 best buy gift card so it's almost like getting the pro version for just $100 more than the regular version. Can't wait!
$699 for the pro now that's what I called no brainer
While the fingerprint delay might be performance related, I do actually like the delay on my Pixel 6 Pro. Feels like it unlocks only when I am deliberately trying to unlock it and not also every time there is a random touch on the sensor.
I agree. I actually like the delay. Feels more intensional
I understand what you’re saying. My S21 plus used to unlock un-intentionally when I just touch the screen while handling it.
I agree with this too, I have a pixel 6 pro for work and it feels really intentional to unlock while my iPhone will face unlock using my watch when I just touch it sometimes. I wish it was an option to delay unlocks using biometrics…
@@Partlywater Yeah. My previous phone was a bit too quick to unlock. It annoyed me lots of times.
I don't like delays. Accident unlock is way less number of times than actual unlock. So actual unlock needs to be faster
I went from iPhone 13 to Pixel 7 and love it.
Real Tone
Man, you guys just keep making better and better intros - seriously impressive!
Yeah
you're going to get a heart from marques
iOS 16 intro GOATed
It's always a gamble with the way that Google tempts buyers with early deals before reviews like your excellent one can post. I'm glad to hear your experience has been positive, since I did preorder and receive my Pro tomorrow!
Hope there's much less bug
I upgraded to Pixel 7Pro from P5. I love the phone itself, it looks awesome and performance is great. The only problem is, after only 3 days of use, the back is badly scratched. The camera bar and the lower edge where the phone contacts the surface have a lot of scratches. Kinda disappointed with the built-in quality.
i saw this from a few people. my mom got the 7 so i got the case and screen protector which actually came with a protector screen on the camera too.
Is this phone water proof?
@@ceeskerkmeijer1251 yes IP68 on both 7 and the 7 pro, im going to buy this phone in January sale
Biggest complaints on my pixel 6 pro...are the battery life & fingerprint scanner. Awesome review 🙌
my battery lasts me all day without having to recharge
At first the finger print scanner didn't bother me, because I thought "it's fine. So it doesn't work the first time. What's the big deal?"
Then it stopped working the second time. And the third time. And I still thought, "that's fine I'll just put in the pin."
But when it comes to using it to sign into banking where you have limited tries and you have to lick your finger in hopes of making it work or get locked out, it makes me want to throw this fucking phone out of my window.
Both those issues went away for me on a13 my fellow TH-camr. Might wanna give it a shot
@@mowgli6345 everything that doesn't work when we really need it will just make us emotional
And it charges slowly when you run out of battery. Seems like the issues are still the same with this, many other reviewers are reporting average (on the lower side of average) battery life and the charging speed didn't change. I'll keep the S22 I switched to after 4 months with the 6 Pro.
Dude I have been watching for so many years and your cinematography never ceases to amaze. Keep up the good work marques
I use this channel to help calibrate when i buy a new display
I still use a Pixel 3A XL and I love the fingerprint reader on the back since I can use it to slide down the top bar, gonna miss that when I upgrade.
I just switched to the 7 from a 3XL. I like the new features but I do miss the fingerprint on the back. The navigation settings changed too. I really miss 2 button navigation.
I think it's a gorgeous looking phone I have the 6a and I love it will trade it in for the 7pro next year, it's my first time having a pixel.
Hey MKHD, thanks for doing a sustainability section in the reviews. I really appreciate it, there's not a lot the average consumer can do but it is nice to try what we can!
"For patient pixel people, who prefer pristine programming and pretty pictures, the Pixel Pro is pretty perfect." Love that
I've been using the Pixel 5 for the last two years and while I love the pure android experience and a load of its features, it hasn't been without its issues. 😉
dont forget to preorder it for the good preorder stuff like the 200$ inears or 400$ smartwatch
Lol same! I have the pixel 5 and prior to this one i had the pixel 2xl which i absolutely love both phones. I saw both phones this morning and i love them way the 7pro looks with curved edges and also slightly slimmer and fast AF. So that's the one i preordered and getting this weekend. :)
don't forget that MKBHD reviewed Pixel 6 as well, rated it relatively good.
@@justinsm agree 100%
Watching this on my pixel 7. Loving it way more than my old Samsung!
I still don't have a reason to switch out my S10+ 1TB Ceramic. Been using it for just over 3 years now. Picked it over the S20 when those came out. The only thought about switching is the lack of 5G. Although, I don't really use the headphone jack that often the last year or two, I still like having it there.
@@abdomination 120hz is definitely worthwhile though apart from that and maybe the sometimes useful zoom there really aren't many tbh. For most people you don't have to switch every 1 - 2 or even 3 years.
@@abdomination 5G isn't what you'd expect. Stick with the S10 until 5G is actually 5G, it's just 4G+ at this point.
How good is the battery life?
@@DarkAngel-dc3te very good for me
Having been an XL/Pro Pixel user since the first iteration, I think I'll be switching to the a/normal versions from now on. They're great for the price, I just don't take enough pictures to justify the higher quality camera.
I'm returning my 7 pro to get the smaller 7. I thought I'd get used to the size and the curved edges. Getting a case for this phone just makes the phone even bulkier and the curved edges are still annoying. Awaiting my 7 to be delivered!
As a language nerd, I loved the alliteration in your outro 🙂👍🏼
9:28 thank you so much for this side-by-side 10x comparison, I've been waiting to see exactly this to decide between those two
Oh Google Pixel, my trusty device,
With you by my side, I feel so precise.
Your camera captures memories so dear,
And with a simple tap, they all appear.
Your sleek design and vibrant screen,
Makes browsing and chatting a dream.
Google Assistant is always on hand,
To help with tasks, big or small, so grand.
With every update, you just get better,
My productivity, you truly do fetter.
Oh Google Pixel, my heart you do win,
For you, my love for technology will never dim.
Amazing alliteration and, as always, awesome articulation!
Still on my LG V40ThinQ and it's the best phone I have ever owned. Been waiting on a Google phone for a bit but there has always been a deal breaker when compared to my V40. Finally sounds like this could be the one.
Came for the great review, stayed for the stealth-wrapped R1T and the Pixel alliteration 🔥
Properly pronounced
A perfectly placed plosive-pocked Pixel postcript.
MKBHD listening to J. Cole and Drake
You have a wild playlist... 🔥
Awesome stuff as always! I feel like the better value is the Pixel 7.
These intro's are always exceeding my expectations wow
5:46 Marques said "imma be using that" the Pixel corrected it to "I'm going to use that"
That's amazing!
The last line. What an alliteration! Love your reviews macha!
Upgraded to the P7 from the P6 and absolutely loving it. Keeping my Pixel 5 as a backup. Something special about that little guy.
Yeah, finger print on the back, and smaller size is great! Debating on upgrading though...
@@velrethar finger print on the back was the perfect place for it. Why someone thought under the screen would be better I’ll never understand
@@PhyuckYu619 I wish they brought that back. I have the Pixel 5 too, and one of the reasons I hesitate to upgrade (besides the fact my phone still works great) is that I know I'm going to miss the finger print in the back
Got amy bugs on the 7?
@@PhyuckYu619 i ended up getting it because the trade in value for the pixel 5 is $400 and the phone is $499... Seemed like a good deal. The size difference is better than I thought
Love the inclusion of the sustainability section! Only thing missing now is a note about repairability. I get that's probably difficult seeing as nobody really has assessed that yet but maybe you can work out a collaboration with ifixit for future videos or sth. Anyway loved the video! :)
Not really useful. The case is not as important, the chip is the one that uses huge amount of water and toxic and dangerous materials
@@jacobscharmberg7133 I wasn't talking about repairability but sustainability. I agree about repairability
I was super excited for my P6 Pro, but I didn't think it's software was complete and overheating/battery issues were constant. If Pixel gets back to a flat, symmetrical screen I'll return to Google's phones 👍
Isn’t the regular model pixel flat and symmetrical though.
yea overheat was bad. had a p6 overheat a lot and actually caused the battery to swell
@@rajdeepvilluri8715 everything except for the chin yeah. It's a small gripe but if they do a premium screen with the same look the pixel 5 had it'd be 🔥
Can you talk about all the bugs. I just got the pixel 7 pro and holy crappy this phone is buggy:
•Laggy scrolling
•Aut-rotate issue
•Double tap gesture for flashlight issues
•Horrible vodeocall quality in WhatsApp and Google Meet. Like unbelievably bad
•Fingerprint scanner laggy
As a life long Android user (12 years) I'm starting to consider an iPhone. I'm sick and tired of all the crap Android phones. I never thought I'd consider an iPhone, but here we are.
Great review! Thank you for this good honest review with pros and cons including new features of the Google Pixel 7 series. I just got a Google Pixel 7 Pro after turning in my Google Pixel 3LX. I'm really enjoying my Google Pixel 7 Pro atm. Looking forward to seeing more content from the TH-cam channel.
Hi there, thinking to do the same as you.. I own a pixel 4 xl and want to trade in for a pixel 7... How much was the value of your trade pixel 3 xl? I'll make the plunge if they give me a good value for it. I'll appreciate if you reply to my message. Greetings!
Have you got any bugs on the 7?
How is the battery life after daily usage?
i just love this one. Everything is very simple and yet very effective. And i didnt feel like im going to die when watching the official reveal. Hope we get it in serbia.
Thanks Marques!
Was already shooting to get the phone but this review solidified that I was getting it on release day!
loving it so far. Definitely a massive upgrade from a galaxy s9 lol.

Keeping my Pixel 6. Was hoping to hear better news on a better fingerprint sensor or something but the 7 feels like what the 6 should've been from launch
I had a feeling people would be saying this. Glad I skipped the 6 and waited for the 7
Let’s see how long u last. I can bet you are definitely gonna be switching to pixel 7 before the year runs out if u have enough cash lying around to spend
