Bought 8a on a aweeome deal on exchange to pixel 7 and this phone is now worth its value for me its all about function and form and it does it perfect . It has some attraction and something very appealing about this phone which i love ❤ so i am happy and zero compliant
The battery backup has drastically improved on my Pixel 8 since the last few updates. The display too is bright enough, but what I don't like about this phone is, the screen turns pink when under direct sunlight.
I am debating, got Pixel 8a, and Google dropped the Pixel 8 price. Difference - $20.00 CAD. Should I change to 8 or stick with 8a. also, Pixel 8, my monthly plan drops by $3.00. At the end of two years, either I return the phone, or NET pay $197 for either of these phones, including the drop in monthly plan by $3.00. I am not much of a user of my cell phone, and take pictures, only when we are outdoors. On Pixel 8a, taking test video for 5 minutes, not only battery drain of 4 minutes, but phone did get hot.
I have the 8a and I have a glass screen protector on it and I don't notice any purple screen artifacts. Then again when I use my phone I am not twisting it around at different angles, it is right in front of me where it is easiest to hold and see.
Just renewed my mobile plan and got the Pixel 8 without any additional cost. Doesn't get cheaper than that since I was going to stick to my current carrier anyway 🎉
The depth of field blurriness is a known issue with new cameras that uses these type of lenses, it started with Pixel 6 and iPhone 13 series. Older smartphones never had this problem because they were using a smaller camera sensor.
I moved from a Samsung S? to a Pixel 3 some years ago and loved it except for the fact I had to add a program to it to get the phone to auto answer when connected to bluetooth headphones/buds or car head unit. What I didn't understand was this feature I had had in every Samsung Phone I had owned since the S1 was in fact a Samsung customisation. Because of this when the Pixel died I moved back to Samsung. Does the Pixel include this feature these days?
Was about to order the 8. But damn, it's not as good as I thought. I'll stay away. Right now is the 8 super cheap where I live. I think the 8 camera is pretty bad with the dull pictures and bad details in shade.
I am very unhappy with my Pixel 8. There has been ongoing issues with Pixel 6, 7 and 8 having issues with not receiving incoming calls. It either does not ring or goes directly to voicemail even when I am not on the phone. You tube videos talk about the issues. Multiple suggestions which may or may not work including things as drastic as factory reset.
Only, if they would stop implementing these bulky and ugly cameras. They are not better, if they are bigger. AI is making the pics better. But not a bulky big ugly camera.

same here, looks almost the same but faster chip and better camera, ist 400$ right now and i bet it goes lower for blk friday, might have to do it, ive had the 6 for 3 years now
I have 4XL as well! Love the phone but it's starting to show its age. I'm currently debating on upgrading but the 8a may be better than a 6 year old phone 😅😅
Do either of these phones have a powerful enough dac to drive my Sennheiser HD 6XX headphones? That’s what I miss about the LG V60, they could play the hard to drive headphones.
@@imabeliever85 Keep them as long as you can. Those a legendary phones that we may never see again in the Market. Maybe the Sony Xperias could come close, but their prices are also something to consider.
I felt like my 8a screen was a bit dim too. It's fine, but my 6a was brighter. I can't say I dislike the pro headphones though. Those have been great for me!
Google pixel 8a is what Samsung Galaxy S23 FE should've been. But greedy Samsung purposefully made S23 FE worse so that they can sell more higher end phones smh.
buy shouldn't we already expect the 8 to be the better phone over the A... tell me why I NEED the 8...sell me the 8a and save me some mulah my brother...
A series of pixel having a slightly weaker processor. tensor G3 in pixel 8 is not same as oixel 8a because pixel 8a has slightly weaker Tensor G3 processor.

How is the battery life on the 8a?
I switched from iPhone 13 to 8a and love it. Awesome phone
Just ordered the pixel 8a. Can't wait till it ships especially since I am upgrading from my iPhone SE
Just traded in my Pixel 9 pro for a Pixel 8a. Google made an amazing phone
@@jevonsims900 What even is this comment? It makes no sense…
I switched From pixel 6 to iPhone 14. Now Apple and EU DMA are in a war and i dont get the new iOS 18 features, what do you like more?

Aloe or bay?
I have a pixel 8 and another major upgrade from the 8a is the charging speed, its simply superior
I also got an amazing deal for the 8 i traded my old iphone 6 and got $400 off. No idea how the store made money on that purchase 😂

just bought the 8a through your link
Just ordered 8a upgrading from my 6. Got a good deal with T-Mobile and for 200 dollars cheaper the 8a seems just as good

At $250 from Google Fi, the 8a was a no brainer for me!
Just renewed my mobile plan and got the Pixel 8 without any additional cost. Doesn't get cheaper than that since I was going to stick to my current carrier anyway 🎉
I pay 10 bucks a month for 58GB data and 1000 minutes. Definitely cheaper to just buy a phone
Ya I have the pixel 6 pay 40 a month. Pixel 8 would been 55 a month but 8a will keep me at 40 so I just ordered the 8a today
This is nonsense. The 8a takes better photos because of the Sony sensor. I also prefer the 8a screen because it doesn't tint green.
You need to put labels on each phone through the video otherwise htf would I know which is which??
Since I was already a Google Fi user, picking up the 8a for $300 was a no-brainer.
I just joined Google Fi to get it for $0!

Thanks for the video.
Pixel 8a would be good if charging wasnt so slow and the price so high.
Facts 💯
The charging on this phone is absolutely infuriating
I don't have any problems with 8a charging, the battery is soo good, that i charge it once a day and it's enough
@@xqlenty It is slower at charging bc of inferior hardware.
Change the charge cable, it then charges at almost the same speed as the 8.. Google put a cheap cable in the box to limit the speed..
If the gap between the 8 and 8a is less than 50$, just get the 8:v

For me the 8a was 500 and 8 was 600 and with 8a my monthly bill won't change when I trade in my 6 so I just got the 8a
I really wish my p8 had a matte back

How does the Pixel 8a hold up vs pixel 6 I want to upgrade?, was looking at the 8 but I’ve seen in some forums about the green line across the screen
same here, looks almost the same but faster chip and better camera, ist 400$ right now and i bet it goes lower for blk friday, might have to do it, ive had the 6 for 3 years now
One inaccuracy is they don't have the same tensor processor the 8a is slightly underclocked fact
Can i ask what the video audio is like? My 6a is awful. Compression very bad when playing guitar and singing.
I loved my 8a just recently lost it so I bought another one
Did somebody see that this guy look like Zack from sabe by the bell? Or is me the only one that saw this??😮😅
Good explanation ❤
I'm a pixel guy... I'm rocking the 4XL ( for the past 6 yrs)and my wife got me the 8a for my birthday... Will i be happy?
Why not?
I have 4XL as well! Love the phone but it's starting to show its age. I'm currently debating on upgrading but the 8a may be better than a 6 year old phone 😅😅
No, divorce her.
If 8 costs 50 bucks more, what would u get?
Pixel 8a can't record HDR video 🫤
So there is no doubt at all that the eight is better than the 8a in every aspect, and it costs negligible more
... It's simple. The pixel 8 was literally $499 a few weeks prior the 8a release. Get the 8

if the 8a is about 400 dollars for me the best option
Will it last as long as my Motorola phone i bought back in 2017 for 250.00 bucks ?
Motorola is way better than Google
At least one can remove Google search bar and weather widget from the home screen of moto phones unlike Google pixel ones. It's so irritating.
8yrs of guarantee updates
My 3 Pro and 6a still work despite the fact that I shattered both of them lmao. They are pretty durable.
Last as long?? Your Moto is probably rockin a 2019 security update. Software wise they suck.
8a don’t have motion mode
I wish people would just review the pixel 8A on its own and not against the 8 or other phones.
I wish people would just review a phone as a phone - a radio telecommunications device - not just give us a camera review.
