Love this self portrait series of yours! Thanks for sharing. I too take self portraits on the RZ67 from time to time, and though I started out with a timed autoknips device like the one you are using, eventually I grew tired of trying to time the shot. Now I'm using the "Remote Control Mechanical Shutter Release" from Reveni Labs, which is basically a wireless remote cable release. Maybe something you'd be interested in 🙂
Love your work and love what you share knowledge wise. Curious if you can use the self timer on the lens as well, and if so, is there a reason to use it on either the lens or body. Thanks.
Sick shots! I found your channel earlier while looking for more RB/RZ67 shooters, and I really love the laid-back vibe of the videos and how you present your techniques. Makes me want to pick up one of those long cable releases or self-timers so I can mess with self-portraiture on my RB. Just subscribed, looking forward to what you post next!
Hi NRG, love this video and your poses. I've done a few self-portraits with this same exact set-up, but my long shutter release cable always sticks (seems to oddly trip the shutter multiple times so I lose a few costly frames.) Have you had any issues similar to this?
Hey ! Thank you so much means a lot! And to answer your question YES happens to me all the time, what I do now which is a bit annoying but you wont lose frames that way is before I advance to next frame, I unscrew it take it off, then advance to next frame and put cable back. Let me know if that helps.
