I’m an old guy and started watching and initially hated it
“Oh right his first film camera was an RB”
    “Da fuq? For pull-apart?”
    “No tripod?”
But then “Spain for 15 days and 10 rolls” and something in my whole mean spirited reaction changed. How to pace, understand, conceptualise a new place, new light etc and be confident and content on 7.5 frames per day.
Kicked myself in the ass and told myself to shut up and enjoy watching this guy share his love for his craft.
Thanks Linus, u got yourself a new fan.

So awesome to see how you've grown over the years, The Mama RB67 was the number one camera that I wanted after shooting with my Konica, so it was my first medium format camera. I followed a similar path to you and started developing my own film as well and it was magic to see the huge negatives from the RB for the first time. Thanks for sharing this Linus!

I love the RB67, I use mine for studio portraits with the 180mm lens and use it for some landscape photos with the 50mm lens. The Mamiya glass is insanely sharp. I love it so much I got two new in the box extension tubes and love the close up and macro photography. This camera totally rocks it.

Loved this!! My first film camera's were my Grandpa's Nikkormat FT and Mamiya C33... I could never find info on the C33 as it seemed like everyone had the newer C330, but this just fueled my love for the camera's uniqueness. Took a lot of fun street shots and portraits of my girlfriend and friends over the last 2 or 3 years, and I've totally fallen in love with the square format. But just recently it started breaking down with sticky shutter issues. Watching this video makes me want to take it down to the camera repair place and have it fixed up again. Thanks for the inspo Linus!

Very cool video. Nice to see Willem co-starring. I think we all have a nostalgia for our first camera. Yours is a cool one, but I so prefer the RZ to the RB. For one, the viewfinder is way brighter and it is so much easier to focus with, imo.
Do like your fun impromptu shots with the RB. Loved your honesty in showing your misses. We all been there. So glad your giving the channel some love again. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! Although sometimes the photos come out as you wouldn't expect, they have a look that only analogue medium format can give... I started shooting medium format with the Mamiya thanks to my university. Always love some RB67 love. The RB67 wasn't my first medium format camera, but it did make me fall in love with medium format photography. Those Mamiya lens may be heavy, but they're super sharp. Also, the mirror lock up mode paired with the leaf shutter lenses on that camera is amazing. I love doing long exposures at night with mine.
I really enjoyed you going back and scanning your old negatives though on the Frontier. That bit of detail was super fun to see, it really showed your progression as an artist in such a short time. Keep it up!

Yoooo hahaha I bought my first RB to shoot packfilm too! Back then it was the cheapest manual camera you could shoot packfilm on, cheaper than the Mamiya universal and probably half the price of the Polaroid 180. There’s this really cool back by Nagaoka that let’s you shoot two shots on one sheet of packfilm so you can fill the whole frame without leaving any negative space. I’ve also had a hard time focusing with the RB but two things have helped me the Type E focusing screen that has a split prism so you can just line up the two halves in the center to confirm focus and second, the chimney finder which cuts out more light than the waist level finder and gives you a slightly magnified view of the screen. Loved seeing your peel apart shots maybe one day we’ll get a video of you using some of that packfilm you have left 👀👀👀
